Welcome to Hanson House - my vision of beauty, shaped by a love of storytelling, layered spaces, and the rituals that make a home feel truly alive.

I grew up in Houston, Texas with a Jamaican mother and a Ghanaian father who both taught me that the everyday can be a work of art - that a well-made bed, a house filled with collected objects, or a carefully chosen fabric can communicate a wonderful story. That sense of quiet ceremony and layered beauty are central to the Hanson House ethos.

Before starting Hanson House, my path took a few turns — from investment banking on Wall Street to a brief stint in modeling, to working under other designers here in New York. Eventually, I knew I had to create something of my own. I launched Hanson House to build spaces that feel intentional, collected, and deeply personal.

To me, good design is about a conversation between old and new, high and humble, heritage and now.

Hanson House is an homage to the love and elegance I grew up with and an invitation to create a kind of beauty that lasts.
