Such Hanson Guys
Three brothers from Tulsa, Oklahoma-Isaac, 16, Taylor, 13, and Zac, 11-make up the band Hanson (which just so happens to be their last name). Hanson's new album, Middle of Nowhere, features "MMMbop" and 12 other songs, all written by the brothers. The band sounds a lot like another set of brothers-The Jackson Five. Here are the A-B-Cs and 1-2-3s of the newer singing siblings.
Used to be called: The Hanson Brothers, and they toyed with the idea of calling themselves the Handsome Brothers.
First public performance: At an arts festival in Tulsa, Oklahoma, about five years ago. They sang a cappella (without instruments) back then.
Where else they've lived: In Venezuela (a South-American country) and Trinidad (a Carribean island), because their dad's job with an oil company moved them around.
How they relax: Playing table tennis.
Lessons taken: Classical piano.
Other talents: Isaac can imitate Kermit the Frog and Bullwinkle. Taylor is a cartoonist. Zac can speak while belching.
Where they practiced: Inside the house, until their parents converted the garage into a recording studio. Taylor exclaims, "We're finally a garage band!"
Not to be confused with: Jim Henson, Shirley Manson, Beck Hansen, Dan Jansen, or Hans Christian Anderson.
