I'm Dreaming of a ..... Tulsa Christmas!

Okay, so it might be chaos at your house at Christmas - but imagine what a house full of HANSONs and their relatives would be like! Welcome to Chrismas according to ISAAC, TAYLOR, and ZAC...

Is it hot or cold in Tulsa at Christmas?

Zac: Well, every once in a while we get snow. But it's more like slush. Isaac: (Adopting a weather man voice) Tulsa has interesting weather cos we're in the middle of the States! We often get big cold fronts that come from Colorado.

Taylor: Yeah, and then all of a sudden it'll be warm. It's been really warm on Christmas Day loads of times in Tulsa.

Zac: But, but, BUT... Taylor: Yeah, okay Zac, yeah, sometimes it'll be freezing and like you'lol go out and...

Zac: It's 85 degrees one day but the next it could be 15

Isaac: Hey guys, that's a little extreme. Let's just say it's generally quite cold!

Do you all go sledding when it does snow?

All at once: Yeah!

Taylor: We live on a really big hill so we go sledging all the time. We have the really fast ones - they're made of plastic, not like those old fashioned wodden ones.

Zac: Unfortunately we've split most of them in half though. We're like 'Aaah, I'm gonna fall through!!'

Isaac: Luckily, we havn't broken any bones on them - although Taylor did break his arm going downhill on his bike.

So do you Hansons go in for a traditional Christmas?

Isaac: Oh no, I'd say we go in for a very untraditional Christmas! But we really do get into totally decorating the house.

Zac: We have like, massive decorations in our house. They're huge!

Taylor: Our living room is right in the middle of the house and it has really high ceilings. So we get bows and huge greenery and arch them all around.

Zac: Last year we had a huge tree. Actually we have a huge tree every year, at least ten feet high!

So what's for Christmas dinner at the Hanson house then?

Taylor: Well, it's usually Christmas Eve when we have a proper Christmas dinner. We together with all our family - we have loads of cousins and aunts and uncles. We usually have turkey and stuff.

Zac: But we don't have Christmas puddings like you guys do! We tried one when we'd finished recording Snowed In - it was delicious!

Isaac: We do the whole traditional thing on Christmas EVe, get that out of the way and then have Christmas Day to do our stuff - you know, like concentrate on our presents!

You don't have a turkey roast on Christmas Day?

Isaac: Not usually, we used to go to our Grandma's for Christmas dinner and she would cook amazing turkey dinners and huge cherry pies.

Taylor: But since she died we've celebrated at our house - all our family come round. Christmas Day is just a big party, but we don't eat traditional food.

Zac: We have like pizza, baked beans and stuff!

Taylor: One year we even had Chinese food! The most important thing to us is that we are together and we get to play with our presents.

What time do you all get up on Christmas Day?

Zac: As early as possible!

Taylor: (looking glum) Our parents are always asleep for ages - until about nine. They never get up early enough. And we have to wait around until they come downstairs and all the family are there before we can open our presents.

Isaac: We have our gifts downstairs round the tree. But the thing is we are really good at sussing out our presents before Christmas Day.

Taylor: Generally by the time Christmas comes we know every thing we've been given!

Zac: We shake the boxes to find out! We can always tell what's what!

Do you buy presents for each of your brothers and sisters?

Zac: Generally we team up and buy a present from all of us. And we'll write on the tag that it's from the whole family or it's from Santa.

Isaac: We often have a much better idea about what each other wants than mom and dad do. So, I'll try and find out what Taylor would really like, then go and get it with my mom and dad to get it.

Taylor: Yeah, and when we're given presents we share them anyway because we share a bedroom.

Isn't it a bit crowded in your room when you all have new stuff?

Isaac: Well, our room is pretty small! It does get a bit squashed with all three of us and our toys, clothes and stuff in it.

Taylor: We're going to have to think of a way to rearrange our room because we havn't been homw in three months - we'll come back and it'll seem really small compared to hotel rooms.

Zac: We're really squished in there - it's full of Lego castles! - and we'll get more Lego this year too!

Isaac: Yep, we only use our room to sleep and play with Lego in! We have a school room where we keep our TV and computer games. We're either in there or in our studio downstairs.

Taylor: The worst thing is our baby brother Mackie shares our parents' room but he's probably gonna move in with us once mom has her baby.

Zac: Oh no! He'll be like, 'YAK lak balak.' (Continues to impersonate a robot - like baby bro!)

What do you consider as the best Christmas presents ever?

Zac: Last year was the best year because...

Taylor: We asked for these huge remote control cars and a remote control bike. THey're this bit! (Stretches rms to about the size of Zac's body length.)

Isaac: Taylor's exagerating, they wern't that big. We ended up with five remote control cars and they caused chaos. It was brilliant.

Here's some things to beware of if you ever spend Christmas with the Hansons....

Taylor stoking the fire:

Taylor: One time I was messing with the fire and I was trying to make the flames bigger so I hit this log and this huge coal thing flew out on to the carpet! I was trying to get it off but it burnt a huge hole!

Zac: It's okay though, we have a chair over it now. We couldn't hide it frim our parents, they walked in just as we were trying to get it off the rug!

Isaac: Actually we're all pyromaniacs!

Their remote control cars

Isaac: We were playing with our remote control cars in a parking lot last year and the battery on mine died. It started rooling down a slope and then all of a sudden we saw this other remote control car coming out at speed and it just went CRASH!

Zac: It went like CRASHIBUKLIKUK SHACRASH!

Isaac: Hmmmm, we actually rebuilt it and it carried on for about two months then it died.

Zac:(Zac goes into pretand hysterical sobbing) OUR LITTLE CAAAAARRRRR!)

Lending them your Barbie

Taylor: Last year we decided to dress a Barbie doll up as an angel and stuck her on top of the tree. It looked a bit painful for her, ha!, ha! Isaac: Hey, it wasn't our Barbie you know! It was Avery's!

Zac: We were like, 'Hey Avey, Merry Christmas - go try and get your Barbie.'

Isaac: The girls have loads of Barbies so the didn't mind us borrowing one. It looked really cool, almost quite creative.

Hanson's guide to making sure you have plenty of presents at Christmas!

1 Join a band and then you'll have lots of present - giving admirers!

2 Acidently drop into interveiws what kind of things you like, "We're sent tons of lego because we mentioned it was our favourite toy in an interveiw," grins Zac. "Who knows what'll it will be like this Christmas?" wonders Taylor. "I mean we could just say what we wanted and the fans would send it to us!"

3 Be carefull what you ask fro cos you might just get it! "We once said in an interview that we wanted one of those lava lamp things," recalls Isaac, "and would you beleive it somone sent us one! It must have cost as much to post as it did to buy!" he gasps. "Erm, it's in the garage now," admits Taylor!
