Review of the Detroit show from the 28th of September
Keep in mind while reading this I'm a guy, so if I'm not drooling all
over them in this review, you know why. Let me correct that. I'm a really
big, oafish, scary looking guy. In fact, if you were at this show, you
probably saw me. If anyone wants to swipe any of the pictures I sent, that's
fine, just make sure to leave my name on there. There's a few more pics from
the show at my site: HERE. It's a
different style of Hanson site. Not nearly as good as Hansonhouse or any
other good one, but...different.
I arrived at the venue (State Theater in Detroit) an about hour before
doors were scheduled to be opened (which was 7:30), thinking there wouldn't
be much of a line because the seating was all assigned and getting there
early would not have many benefits....I couldn't have been more
wrong....there was a line around the building and down the block! Sheesh.
Anyway, about a half hour before doors opened, the people standing at the
side of the building were treated to Zac and
Taylor coming to the window
about 3 floors up and taking pictures and shooting video, which of course
caused half the people in line to rush out into the street to get a better
look so they weren't craning their necks straight up. Fortunately the street
is not used by cars too often, so it was no big deal.
The doors opened and people began moving in. The merchandise was moving
like crazy, and by the time I got up there they had only one type of shirt
left in XL (white with album cover on front). I really needed a XXL (I'm
6'7, 300 pounds), but they don't make those, and I'm not a fan of white
shirts but I bought it anyway because I needed a Hanson shirt. I went into
the bathroom and put the shirt on under my SKRAPS ( http://skraps.cjb.net
-
plug, plug) shirt and walked down to my seat (3rd row) just as M2M was
getting off the stage. The seating was a mess and they really shouldn't have
bothered and just made the main floor general admission. The first three
rows were all just crammed against the stage anyway once Hanson took the
stage. Standard stage outfits for all three, with Zac looking resplendent in
retro-ZZ top shirt. I was standing right in front of Taylor and because I
was a lot taller than everyone there was a lot
of amusing interaction between
myself and Taylor and later, Zac.....as Taylor took his spot behind the
keyboard I gave him the "heavy metal prong" (fist in the air with pinky and
pointing finger extended)....he did it back, ha ha! If Taylor is somehow
reading this, that ruled. Anyway, I was expecting "You Never Know" to open
just like they had been doing according to bootlegged Napster traded shows
and the radio promo shows they had been playing prior to this tour, but they
went into "Look at You" instead, which was a cool surprise. From there it
was into the standard "Where's the Love" and "Runaway Run," which is still
probably the coolest Hanson song ever recorded (I held up my "THAT SOLO
RULES" sign during the solo...because it does, you know). After that it was
"River" which was one of the best songs of the night, the crowd was really
into it, singing along loudly (especially during the higher "UN-DER-STAAAND"
during the refrain). From there it gets a little fuzzy from there, I know
that "Thinking of You" and "Love Song" and a slew of others were in
there....after "Wish That I Was There" they left the stage for a moment while
the crew set up an acoustic setting for them, which I had no idea was
coming...another awesome surprise. They came back out and hit "A Song to
Sing" (with the extra verse) and then went into "Lucy." It's funny how they
can take songs I wasn't too fond of in the past and make them unbelievable.
With all three of them singing on it and, of course, it being a lot lower, it
seemed really cool. "Sure About It" was up next and that was good as usual.
They threw in their cover of "Money (That's What I Want)," and I even noticed
people that weren't fans (ie security guards in front) were getting into
that....hate to sound cheesy but they really tore into that one and made it
"rock." A definite highlight of the evening. There may have been another
one or two in there but I can't seem to recall. Bare with me here. Anyway,
at that point Taylor and Zac took off, while Ike remained and did a
completely solo version of "More Than Anything" which was real good....Ike
can play piano? Geez, you learn something new
everyday. After another brief
break the guys came out and did "You Never Know" which is always good. Gets
real fuzzy for me here...hey, it was hot down there and it was probably not
healthy to be pushed against that many people for that long, but hey, all in
the name of Hanson. "Hand in Hand," "Can't Stop," and "A Minute Without You"
were in there, and "If Only" brought the house down and got a huge
reaction...everyone in the building was into that one. This song is always
cool because Taylor can get out from behind the keyboard and move around the
stage. He rules on that harmonica. An extra-long version of "Speechless"
followed where they introed the backup members of the band. As we approached
the end they did "This Time Around" and I'd have to say that was the best
song of the night...that song is powerful stuff, especially live. It's a
shame that song got the shaft on MTV....Hanson's a breath of fresh air in a
world of BSB clones. Then of course came MMMbop (funny comment from Taylor
as the drums he uses on that song were brought out: "Gee, does anyone know
what song is next?"), followed by "Sunshine of Your Love" which just kicked
so much ass....out of any band that has played that song, I honestly think
their version is probably the best. Right at the end I held up my "NEXT TOUR
- QUEEN COVER" sign which Taylor read and then nodded to...so hopefully next
year we'll hear Hanson playing "Keep Yourself Alive" or "I Want it All" or
some other cool Queen song....They left the stage after a fake "goodnight"
and came back after a few moments with Taylor taking his place behind drums
as Zac sang "I Want You To Want Me," which was excellent. (Again, as an aside
to Zac if he somehow stumbles across this - thanks for acknowledging me at
the end there right before you guys walked off - way to show some guts by
snubbing the girls to hi-five some big scary looking guy, ha ha). Ike threw
picks out but no luck. Oh well.
A heck of a show....I was expecting it to be really cool and it was even
better than I expected....this band doesn't nearly get the respect they
deserve (how many bands can play each other's instruments at the drop of a
hat and still make it sound good?) It's funny how the old guard of popular
Hanson songs like Where's the Love and MMMbop sound kind of weak compared to
the new stuff....not that those songs are bad at all, but the new stuff is
just that much better. Only gripes: No "In the City!" That song just RULES
live and as cool as "I Want You To Want Me" is, I would have rather they went
out on an original. The acoustic part was, again, an awesome surprise,
although I wish they would have done more of it ("Soldier" off of their last
home video is my favorite Pre-TTA song). Absolutely no major complaints,
though....I would have gladly paid double the price for a worse seat. I
realize I'm lucky....due to my size and the fact I was the only guy for about
the first 10 rows I got to somewhat interact with Taylor
and Zac in a way
that most of the other people in front didn't get to. One person even asked
me for MY autograph after recognizing me from a previous Hanson show here in
July....she remembered my gimmick of "World's Toughest Hanson Fan." I have a
feeling I'm getting an interesting reputation around here. Anyway, after the
show let out a gaggle of fans waited out by the tour bus...I was standing on
the opposite side of the street. Ike and Zac were already on the
bus....Taylor came out and greeted fans on the same side of the street as him
for a moment, and right before he got on the bus he looked across the street,
saw me, and gave that "metal salute" we exchanged at the beginning! Ha, that
had me smiling all the way home. Not only do these guys do great music, they
just seem to be people that would be cool to hang out with. One of the best
concerts I've ever been to.
One request, ok? Start making XXL Hanson shirts. Big scary looking guys
listen to Hanson too.

((Note: Times are aproximate)) Felicia's Review of the Myrtle Beach, SC Concert on Hanson's This Time Around Tour 2000! *-*September 3, 2000*-* *-*8:00 AM*-* Kara, Beth and I all woke up simultaneously. That was just plain scary. Kara woke up first, then me, and then Beefy! It was like...WHOA!!! *-*8:30 AM*-* We loaded us and all of our stuffz into the back of a small pickup truck. We left Beth's house and started our hour and a half drive to the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. *-*9:00 AM*-* When we got to the state line about half an hour later, we stopped at a rest stop. We all went potty and got some more Dr. Pepper. We got into Myrtle Beach. We had the album cover to Middle of Nowhere taped to a window. We looked over and there were these two old guys in a white car. They started po inting to the picture and smiling. In response to them, Kara and I started yelling yeah and giving thumbs up and Zac's little surfing symbols. Not that the guys could hear us!!! But...the two old guys started laughing hysterically at our hyper behavior. *-*9:30 AM*-* WE'RE HERE! WE'RE HERE!! WE'RE HERE!!!!! Well, not here in my living room/ den. But at the House of Blues!! Kara, Beth, and I got the stuff we would keep with us all day. We walked to the line and were about to get at the end. I heard someone calling my name so I turned and looked. It was Lauren, the friend of Edith, I met here through Hanson's Bodygirls. Thanks to that wonderful organization, we got ahead in front of about... 50 people!!!!! Well, nothing really happened from that point until about 2-2:30 except that I took a cup!! It was sitting there without an owner and empty!! [Unable to display image] *-*2:00-2:30 PM*-* I pulled Kara along with me on a walk around back. Some people told us that Hanson's bus would get there around 3:00. I decided to stand there and wait being that I already had my camera with me. Kara stayed for a few minutes then went back to our spots in line. The bus pulled in right around 3:00 PM. They came in the opposeite way then all the people expected. That was OK cause I got a really good picture of their bus! The second the bus stopped, Zac jumped off and ran insde. I didn't see him cause I was is the total wrong spot. [Unable to display image] *-*3:30 PM*-* Isaac finally came off the bus. Mr. Hanson was one of the first to get off. Mrs. Hanson and Zoe got off just befoer Isaac. He didn't turn around and wave or anything. Probably because all the guards were pushing him like crazy! [Unable to display image] [Unable to display image] [Unable to display image] *-*3:45 PM*-* FINALLY!!! After standing there for over an hour Taylor cam off the bus. The guardes were pushing him too. But he still turned around and waved. OMG!!! Those guys are soooo freakin' hot in person! When we got back to the line everyone was standing. We had been moved up so we were only about 20- 40 feet away from the doors. This was when it got irritating. In dance we just learned about general space and personal space. At that point we were like, What the hell-o is personal space?!? [Unable to display image] *-*6:58 PM*-* At this point people had started counting down until the doors opened. We had been standing for over two hours. It was at least 100 degrees out at that point. Everyone was getting very irritable. *-*7:02 PM*-* What the hell?!? These doors were supposed to open at 7:00!!!! Everyone was getting pissed over the fact that we weren't getting in yet. People started yelling and everything, it was pointless. Not long before this, a woman got kicked out of the place cause she obviously had some weed. Her daughter was yelling as she got pulled out, "WHY CAN'T MY MOM HAVE SOME F**KING WEED UP IN HERE?!?" They were both high. *-*7:06 PM*-* YES!!! FINALLY!!! YEAH!!! They opened the doors!!! We got up there really quick. They tore our tickets and we walked in. They had to put some sort of stamp on our hands. We went down the stairs and I got yelled at for so called running. Needless to say, I WASN'T RUNNING!!! *-*8:00 PM*-* This is when the concert was supposed to start. Instead a guy from a radio station came out. He gave away a bag full of Hanson keychains. He was telling us to stay back off the stage and to let the people in the front have some room. He was also telling the people in the front that if they thought they were gonna pass out or anything to go up to the guards so they could get out. We didn't have an opening act. The rumor I heard was that one of the guys from Neve, his grandmother got put in a hospital back in Tulsa and he had to go home to be with her. I thought that was pretty sweet. *-*8:27 PM*-* The crowd had now been chanting Hanson for about 5 minutes. I looked over to one of the sides of the stge and saw alot of movement. I knew they were coming. The next thing I knew, the crowd had erupted in screams and Hanson was running on the stage. They started with You Never Know. From that point on, I was on a total adrenaline high. I have no idea how to document what happened. It was great though. I can give you the songs they played, but they aren't in order. I CAN tell you that Runaway Run was the third song, they didn't play Lucy. In The City was the last actual song, and then then came back out and did This Time Around Acapella. *-*Songs Hanson Played*-* Thinking of You MmmBop Speechless Where's The Love Look at You Man From Milwaukee River Stories This Time Around Runaway Run Can't Stop Love Song Wish That I Was There Sure About It You Never Know Hand In Hand If Only In The City Save Me I Don't Know Smile Magic Carpet Ride Can't Always Get What You Want Johny B. Good This Time Around Acapella
Hey, people, I went to the Hanson concert in Chicago last night and let me just say, it was a great show but the audience made me really mad. Throughout the whole show, things were flying at Hanson left and right. It was so rude and I couldn't believe what was going on. You guys, Hanson probably doesn't even do anything with your little stuffed animals (they probably never even see them again) so save it and please don't throw them at them while they are performing. And glow-sticks were going all over the place. People, Hanson doesn't want your glow-sticks and they definately don't want to be hit by them! Just please, show some respect and don't whip things at them while they are on stage. Thanks! Andrea

The girl that sent this in asked to remain anonymous...
We got to the concert at 5:30. The doors were suppose to open at 6:00pm. The weather sucked. It was raining and really cold. We found some of our friends and went with them under their umberlla. Then we saw our friend Jody and she was talking to Scott Hogan. And I (Maribeth) walked over and was like 'Hey what's up?" and he was like "Hey how's it going." Then Sam went and said hello to him. He also told us that he remember us from the York (and he said it specifically) concert. Which was cool. Jody was complaining size of her noseholes and he goes "that's because you picked your nose to much when you were a little kid" lol. All these teenie girls started to come over and ask for pics and they kept saying "OMG YOU'RE SO HOT" so we just kind of walked away from him. Then I was talking to Sam and saw Jessie and Ashley walked behind her. They ran across the street and were running because of the rain. We were near the driveway that led to the bs area and they ran right past it toward the police station. They realized they were going the wrong way and burst out laughing. We said hi to Ashley and she turned and smiled at us and went away. We tried for meet n greets but it was too late. Once we got inside it was crazy. I left Sam in the merchandise line and I went to use the bathroom. Than scope out our seats w/ a friend. We saw Romeo and talked to him again. Than I went back to Sam who had gotten our stuff(I directed people to the right doors cause they were all closed) We went in and sat down. M2M was okay, though the dark-haired one tended to annoy the hell out of me. She had a couple of things thrown at her. Sam said it looked like gum, but I dunno. She was walking behind the blond hair one(Marit?) and she tried and the blond started to laugh, she turned around to see if she was okay, then smacked her with the guitar. Good times. THen all these girls started to come up and clog the aisle. A security guy chased them away. THen right before Hanson came on they all came back, but Sam, the girl across from us and I all stood in the ailse and wouldn't let anyone through. Sam and I took after Shayla and started to check ticket stubs. This chick started to fight with me. I was like "look I am not going to fight at a hanson concert so don't give me attitude." Then she started to make fun of Sam and I calling us 'Fatty road blocks" thats when I nearly punched the girl. So instead Sam and went and got security and she had to go back to her seat. Later we would see two mothers in a cursing match in front of their little children. The one mother ran down the ailse and butted through the other one out of the way. Tisk. Tisk. The concert itself was awesome. They opened with Crosstown Traffic. And they skipped the first verse. Sam and I started with the first one then realized they started with the second. During the concert they played(in no order) Crosstown Traffic (very few people knew the words but Sam and I were singing right along) Piece of My Heart (Zac goes "This song was done by a lady known as Janis Jopin) Money(Tay was like "We played this on the Albertane tour" blah blah blah. hehe. They lso had everyone sing the 'That's what I want' part) Sunshine of Your Love (one of our favs) You Never Know If Only( Taylor tried sneaky and grab the harmonica and then walk out to center stage hehe, but we saw him) This Time Around (Everyone sang along to this) Runaway Run ( I love this song) Save Me Wish That I Was There Love Song Sure About It Song To Sing (no extra verse :( MMMbop Thinking of You(Zac stood up during his part.....show off) Speechless(they played an extended version while they introduced the backup band) Look At You( AWESOME! This song is great live) Where's the Love( Taylor did a little motion like a cowboy trying to lasso a cow whenever he went 'round and round') More Than Anything( very cool! He had the biggest grin on at the end of the song, he kind of leaned in with a cool 'thank you very much' and walked off stage) Lucy Minute Without You (lol sam and jess 'YOU KNOW WE CAN'T') I think thats all of them. They played for almost 2 hours. Isaac came out wearing those jeans with the colored rhinestones, a blue ruffily shirt(with a beater underneath) and a black leather jacket, Zac had on a red shirt(I think it had a sailboat on it) and a pair of grayish windpants. Taylor looked like he was going to a funeral. He had on black shoes, black jeans, a black belt, a black beater and a black sports jacket type of things over it(he later would take of the jacket) There was a big distance from the stage to the barriers and Taylor went in between the two and was shaking people's hands. He was down there for awhile, Ike and Zac were on the other end shaking hands. And then once Taylor hopped back on the stage Zac went "THATS MY ARM THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!" Lol. During one of the first songs Isaac got sprayed with silly string and it was stuck to his guitar, so he was trying to play and get it off with his elbow at the same time. These girls were also chucking muffins at Zac's drum set. He didn't see if the first few they threw at him, cause they landed a little short. But the next ones they threw, Zac was looking down reading the set list, one flew right by his head, another his a cymbal and another went down between his legs. So he yelled "STOP THROWING MUFFINS AT ME!!" And Isaac and Taylor laughed at him. When they got up to do the acoustic set, Zac had a wet butt. It was the shape of his drum throne. Taylor picked up his towel and told everyone to swing their glow sticks around like he was doing with his towel. Sam ended up hitting some guy in the head. Most of the songs were awesome. When it came for 'Taylor Says'(you know Tay's version of 'Simon Says') His mike wasn't working and he kept talking into it. IT took him a minute to realize that it wasn't working and he kept waving offstage. So finally he gave up and figured the crowd would follow him if he said anything of not. The acoustic set was cool. Zac sang 'Lucy' really softly and kept looking to Isaac and Taylor. It looked like he was trying to pretend his mike was dead but really he just wasn't singing loud. Then they went off and we thought the acoustic was over but Romeo came back out with the keyboard. That's went Sam turned to me and said 'They're gonna do 'More Than Anything'" and right after than Isaac walked back out. Someone was filming him the entire time. When he was done, he went off stage then a few seconds later they all came back out. Thats when Zac said it was the first time that they played that song on tour. Right before they were gonna play 'This Time Around' Taylor asked who had the album. And I s2g that the entire place went silent. It was really weird. The he goes "What else is called 'This Time Around?" and Zac shouts out "THE SONG!" Then points out into the audience and goes "You're sign's upside down" Taylor did his little bowing thing to Matt and Jason during the backup band intros and Scott played the theme song to the 'Andy Griffth(sp?) Show' during his introduction. During the intros Taylor kept yelling at everyone to scream louder. They played Sunshine of Your Love last. And Taylor said that they were playing if for some friends who had missed it when they played it other times on tour. Then they left. But everyone knew they were coming back cause Romeo came and put new towels out. They came back and did a capella of TTA. The only bummer about the whole night was we lost the negatives to some of our Hanson pics :( but everything else rocked. *Some points from Sam* Tay did the cutest thing... there was a 7 and 8 year old boy and girl sitting in the row across from us and they couldnt see so i kept telling them i'd hold them up and stuff but her mom took her up to the little crack by the stage, and Tay came over and squeezed himself through the shake the little girls hand. i was like "aww" cause i felt so bad that they couldnt see. the little boy sat there with his head in his hands. We were making faces at each other and laughing at each other the whole time. i was making fun of him moving his head up and down and i almost fell off the chair and he laughed so hard at me he knew us from york then he was outside the venue for 20 mins with us(at York and Pitt). hehe. then i dropped my sign and binoculars (dont ask) and he was laughing. and Tay looked over and us and i waved but he was playing the keyboards and scott shoook his head like "noooooooo!" lol and everytime it got quiet we shouted scott 's name and he'd laugh. He was having a good old time laughing at us. Taylor bowed down to Jason and Matt but not to Scott. So we did to Scott and he laughed at us. Everyone would make the 'i love u' sign to Taylor and I would hold up one finger and point to Scott.
I am from Ecuador and I went to Hanson concert in Ft.Lauderdale and saw them at Macy's at the Aventura Mall. They were at Macy's on August 25th and I went ot see them like 6:30 because I didn't know they were going to be there so when I saw them playing at the parking lot I felt like I was going to die or something!! I was so happy and exited!! Then when they finish playing they went inside to autograph and all the girls were screaming and jumping and pushing!! Then we went inside and I saw them like they were infront of me!! My cousin that is 3 years old came and my cousin was waving at them and Taylor wave at him back and say "hello" to me!! I was so exited!! Well them I was looking at them and nothing much interesting that the hello happend!! They at the concert I got really bad seats!! I was in road W seat 116 really bad place to be seatted and I was on Taylor's side!! I remember that this band started playing like 7 and they were really cool and everything but I was really anxious to see Hanson!! Then like 8 they came on stage and we were all screamming!! The first song they played was "You never know" then I dont remeber the other of the rest of the songs!! There was this boy dressed as a girl who jump over Taylor and Taylor looked like he didnt like it at all. Like at the middle of the concert this girl try to go up to the stage and she fall down and it was so embarassin for her!! Poor girl!! And at the end lots of girls went up satage and start kissing and hugging them!! They are really lucky but I think they should not do that cuz they are like bothering them!! Its was the best days of my life!!!!!!!!!! Since that day I LOVE HANSON EVEN MORE!! I have a fan club called Scream Squad we are like 10 people cuz people here are embarrased to admit they like Hanson!!!!!! THAT REALLY SUCKS!! Valentina Quito,Ecuador
The day of the concert my mom came and picked me up from school early. And all of my friends were yelling out windows and telling me to have fun! I came home and changed my clothes and fixed my hair. And we went to pick up my cousin and my friend, Kendra. We was all hungry so when we got to Columbus we stopped at a McDonalds to eat. It was about 3 o'clock when we finally finished and the Palace Theater was only about 2 minutes from where we was. We got there and had to park in the parking garage. As soon as we got there we heard people yelling and screaming so we jumped out of the car and ran over to the wall of the garage. It turns out we had a perfect view of the Hanson bus and they was actually on it! The reason people was screaming was because Walker and Zac just got off of the bus! And I missed it! =( But I'm still getting a picture of it from Kelsi (a girl I met there) We stood there watching the bus...for 2 hours. Some guy carried Zoe off. She was wearing a white dress with red shoes. And let me tell you..that girl has grown! Taylor and some girl who looked about 20 came off of the bus next. He was wearing a red long-sleeve shirt and let me tell you...he looked hot! My mom, cousin, and friend all had to go to the bathroom and my mom wouldn't let me stay there by myself so I had to go too. It took forever and by the time we finally left the restroom Isaac was off of the bus. But my friend was quick enough to get a picture of him...WAVING AT US!!!! I mean he actually looked up at where we was standing and waved. We ran back to our spot from before and Avery was getting off of the bus. She had on black capri pants and a little black shirt that had a moe symbol on it. She waved at people and ran into the building. Jessica must have gotten off of the bus with Walker and Zac because she was standing in the door way when Avery went in! She is really tall and pretty. She was wearing capri pants with flowers on them and a red shirt that kinda looked like Tay's! We waited and watched the bus and finally the cutest thing came. Mackenzie ran out of the building and screamed "WAZZUP!!?!?!" like twelve times. And then started to shake our hands. He is identical to Zac. He even told me that I was cute and Zac would probably like me! I flipped. Someone yelled at him from the bus and he went in and tried to open to bus window. He couldn't do it and practically started to cry. So, he finally gave up and ran back outside and yelled "Wazzup" one more time and ran into the building. After Mackenzie left my mom told me she wanted to get inside and get our seats. We didn't have good seats but they wasn't bad either. Actually they was right in the middle. And when the concert started we moved up about 13 rows to four empty seats. M2M opened for Hanson and let me tell you...M2M rocked! They was very good singers...except this one high note that they hit...it about ruptured my eardrums!!! lol =o) When Hanson finally came on after what seemed to be a 2 hour intermission everyone flipped. Zac was soooo hyper...(like usual) Tay and Ike....woooa...Ike should wear a beater more often! They was great. They played Crosstown Traffic, If Only, This Time Around, Can't stop, More than anything, Wish that I was there, Love Song, Hand In Hand, Song to sing, Thinking of you, MMMBop, Speechless, Where's the Love, Look at you, Minute without you, Man from Milwaukee, I want you to want me, Money (thats what I want) and Sunshine of your love. Zac looked fine during I want you to want me. Mainly because I saw his butt the whole time. And might I add its NICE!!! =oP Taylor rocked at playing the drums too. So after the concert was finally but unfortunately over we went outside and stood for about 2 hours waiting for them to come out. And they did. And there was only like...4 other people waiting for them and they let us come down and meet them and get their autographs! Zac even took 7 pictures with just me. I was soo nervous and excited at the same time. Zac told me that he saw my orange, silver, and blue glowsticks too! I was shocked because at the time I didn't even have the glowsticks with me. It was the best night of my life. And just think...Cincinnati and Erie Pennsylvania is coming up. Two more concerts! Yeah baby!!!
~*September 30th, Toronto, Ontario, Massey Hall*~ OMG OMG HANSON IS THE BEST! Thats all I have to say about that! The concert last night was soo awesome!!! I was soo nervous an dscared all day, but it was soo worth it. Well, I am from Buffalo, NY, so we had to drive up to Toronto Saturday Morning. We did all our daily activities and About 6:00 we ended up downtown. We were suppossed to be looking for a resturant to ewat really quick but all of a sudden I saw the sign for Massey Hall outta the corner of my eye and looked over and saw their blue and maroon tour buses!!!!! AHHH!!! I practuically jumped out of the car! So we go to Massey Hall then and we hear all these screaming girls, so we run to the back. It turns out, Hanson was in their dressing rooms and in front of the room they were in were the other 2 buses. periodically Zac would walk by the window and everyone would scream at the top of their lungs! Then we all started singing "MMMBop" "If Only" and so many other songs so we would get their attention. Then all of a sudden...ISSAC WALKS OUT THE DOOR ON THIS BALCONY AND STARTS TAPING US WITH THE HANSON FAMILY CAMCORDER!!!AAAAAHHHH!! I was hysterically crying by this point. then a lil while later we were alll chanting for Zac to come out. Then all of a sudden...MACKIE COMES RUNNING OUTSIDE PUMPING HIS ARMS UP IN THE AIR! he is soo cute!!! at 730 we finally got inside. then at 8 pm M2M came out. they were good- they got the crowd pumped up. then finally, afetr years and months of waiting, at 9pm, HANSON CAME OUT! The opened with "Look At You" then sang "Runaway Run" then "River" and then "Wish That I Was There" during all this they were talking to us and they are the sweetest things!! The other songs they sang (out of order) were :"If Only" "This Time Around" "Dying to be Alive" "Can't Stop" "Love Song" "Sure about It" "Hand in Hand" "In The City" "Song To Sing" (wiht This Glassy Surface verse) ""Thinking of You" "MMMBop" "Speechless" "Lucy" "Minute Without You" "Man from Milwalkie" Their cover songs were "(Money)Thats what I Want" by the beatles and "Cna Always get What You Want" by Roling Stones. I think that is all of the songs they sang! They did about half acoustic..OMG THEY WERE SOO AWESOME I CANT PUT IT INTO WORDS!!! After the concert was over I was waiting to get something off the stage form one of the gaurds, then all of a sudden, I see a Water Bottle on Zac's Drumset (It was close to the edge of the stage) so i run up on the stairs and grabbed the water bottle...OMG it was the most adventurous thing i have ever done!! Then i started to shake and cry hysterically. BUT DONT WORRY!! IN NO WAY DID I HARM ZACS DRUM SET!!!!!!! That was the best day of my life- I will never forget it.
Hi, my names Amanda and I want to share my Hanson tour experience with ya!! So, here's my tour review!!! Well, I guess the whole Hanson ticket thingie started on the morning of August 18th. My friends and I went to ticketmaster @ 8:30 A.M. to try to be first in line to get Hanson tickets. It turned out that we were the only ones that showed up to get the actual tickets to the Hanson concert. Which was a bummer for them, but good for us. So, we ended up getting 11th row. My parents promised me that they would try to get front row tickets. So, I called around and found a front row seat to the Columbus Ohio show for $250 dollars. But, hey for Hanson, it's worth it. So, finally the day of the concert came. The day went by so slow. Then it was time to go to the concert. I was so excited and happy. M2M was better than I expected. They actually made more eye contact with me than Hanson did. They seemed really nice. It was weird because they only performed for like 25 minutes. Then everyone came out and started getting ready for the guys. Then finally the moment came and Isaac, Taylor and Zac ran out. I was sitting right in front of Isaac. He never made eye contact and he never smiled once for the first part of the concert. I'm not sure, but it looked like he was having probs cuz he kept whispering to Taylor and Zac during the concert. Towards the end he started to pep up a little bit. Taylor was amazing, he just looked so good in person compared to on paper. Zac was wild, and he was so cool. I got to touch every one of their hands, and I never wanted the night to end. Anyway, I was so mad that this girl next to me who made little signs to hanson saying "I wanna have sex with you", and "I'm easy" to the guys ended up getting a song list, drum stick and at least one guitar pick. I managed to get nothing, which really bugged me. But, then a few days later, I realized that I at least got to touch their hands, which meant a lot. The night went by so fast and I missed them so much when it was over. To anyone who hasn't gone to their concert yet, just take a moment to take it all in, because the concert made me realize several important things about them. The most notable one is that they are normal guys, and when I was younger I had always put them on this pedestal. But, now I realize that they are all about the music. Which is a great and amazing thing to see.
I went to the Toronto show on Sept. 30th, and it was the best show I have ever been to! The concert was at Massey Hall, which is extremely small... it holds under 3,000 people, which basically ment you could see from anywhere which was a major plus. BEFORE THE CONCERT: My friend Crystal and I took the train into Toronto and we got there at about 1:00pm and headed to the Eaton Centre to do some last minute shopping and eat some lunch. After we bought numourous glow stix and a lollipop which glows in the dark. We decided to go and find the venue since I wasn't positive as to it's location since I'm an out-of-towner. We got there at about 3pm and saw quite a few ppl waiting by two blue tour buses, now of course I knew that Hanson's tour bus is Maroon so that ment that they hadn't arrived yet. We waited around for awhile and talked to some scalpers who were actually very nice and honest... they told us that there wasn't anything available which was better than 12th row. Thanks guys! hehe... we got really tired of waiting and our feet were killin us (plus my pant leg and sock was all wet since some chick kicked a cup of ice at me, don't worry I know you didn't mean to =) so we decided to go read magazines in Tower records which was just around the corner and down the street. We were only gone for about half an hour but sadly when we returned we realized that Hanson had arrived when we were gone... since now there were two maroon buses parked outside the venue... ahh well live and learn. We stayed there for awhile, bought head bands that said "I love Taylor" and Crystal took a pic of me beside their bus. Then we retreated back to the mall to have a good sit and rest for the big show ahead. We went back at about 6:30 and as we approached we could hear screams coming from the back where the buses were so we went around to see what was going on. Everyone was gathered back there watching the windows and open door of a room in the back of the theatre very intently. We could make out people walking around but they wouldn't go in front of the open door or window.. someone kept peering through the blinds tho. Many ppl were singing various Hanson songs and screaming at the top of their lungs, trying to get Hanson to come outside and say hello. The funniest thing was when this old man was standing up on a railing in a business suit (teehee he prolly just got off work) and yelling things like "I love you Hanson" I don't know if he was mocking us or what but his yelling really helped us out. Suddenly out of this black door which no one was really paying attention to... Zac came running out and the man yelled something which made as notice him, he then proceeded to wave at the man.. and then he was gone! It was so funny*LOL* Then a few minutes later Isaac came out of the same door with a camcorder and taped the audience with it. Then when he left ppl were cheering and trying to get Taylor to come outside and everytime that door would open again they would go crazy but it usually ended up being their dad or something! Then Mackenzie came running out of the open door and waved to everyone. He was soo cute! Then he came out again cause some girls were cheering for him and did this adorable little dance, everyone went nuts!!! I was thinking to myself, wow this kid really loves attention.. hehe. He came out about three times in total. The crowd was starting to leave because nothing more was happening and the doors were about to open, I was getting cold and it was getting dark so we where about to leave. When after much coaxing out came Taylor! Just the sight of him up there made my already aching knees go weak. He waved to all of us and then he was gone. DURING THE CONCERT: Crystal and I made our way in and found our seats on our own. They were 20th row in the center aisle on Taylors side, which was the last row of seats on the floor. They were much better than I imagined they would be! I bought my mercandise b4 the concert started in fear of what I wanted selling out. I got a program and a lightstick on a Hanson rope that went around your neck, Crystal just bought the venue poster. M2M was the opening act, they were pretty good... although I don't know many of their songs except "dont say you love me" Well they played untill about 8:30, the concert started at 8:00 by the way. Then at about 10 to 9, out came.... <drum roll please, you guessed it>.... HANSON!!! They were so good, and looked even better. Taylor was wearing black dressy pants with a black belt which had gold studs on it and a grey dress shirt, which of course he took off after a few songs and had on a black beater. Isaac had on beige actually almost yellowish leather pants and a blue demin shirt which he also removed to reveal a dark grey t-shirt. Zac had on a tight red t-shirt with yellow writing on it and khaki pants.
The songs in which they played were: (in no particular order) Thinking of you, MMMBop, Speechless, Look at you, Lucy, A minute Without You, Man From Milwaukee, River, Money, TTA, Runaway Run, Can't Stop, Love Song, Wish that I was there, Sure About it, Hand in Hand, If Only, Dyin to be Alive, In The City, A Song To Sing, Can;'t Always Get what You want and Beautiful Eyes.
Songs I wish they had played: Weird, Bridges of Stone (never heard a good version of this song) Never let go, Save Me, Smile and a few more covers. But hey I'm not complainin it was still an amazing show!!!
HIGHLIGHTS: Since we were in the back we could stand on our seats with out obstructing anyones view so thats where we were for most of the night. Right before If Only, I got this urge to run down the aisle so I told Crystal to go, even though we weren't goin to untill the encore. We got down to about 6th row and of course Taylor was running around going nuts on the harmonica, it made me so happy to see him play it up close! I went wild snapping pics of Taylor since he was right there. hehe. We stayed there for maybe three or four songs until sercurtiy came through to clear everyone out of the aisle. Then after being in our seats for awhile we went back down in time to see the intro of the back up musicians... I guess Taylor's been doing this in almost every show from what I've heard, but it was so cute to see him getting everyone to bow down to them in person. During In the City Taylor did something completly crazy, I'd heard of him doing it b4 but didn't believe it untill I witnessed it myself. He ran over to the huge speakers at the side of the stage and climbed up on them then he jumped up into the side balcony, when he climbed back down he jumped off and slid across the stage on his stomach! I'm not sure if he fell or what but it was a pretty far jump, prolly about 6 or 7 feet!!! Then the funniest thing was when he was on the stage floor he sang a line in the song... too cute! At one point Taylor was over shaking hands with ppl near me, I was this close ------- to touching him but I didnt want to jump on the ppl in front of me, I do have respect and I care about my fellow Hanson fans! When they left and came back on for the encore they threatened not to play if some ppl didn't go back to they're seats, but Crystal and I really wanted to be up close and there was lots of room where we were, so we just kinda stepped into a row to make it look like they were our seats. I felt bad disobeying Hanson but this is something I've waited for for so many years! Then they started back up but only played one song, I think they were gonna play more but Isaac came over and said something to Taylor and then they only did "TTA" acappella. I'm not complaining tho cause the show was really long, a full 2 hours! Although I wouldn't have minded if it had gone on all night! hehe. Well thats my review, I hope you enjoyed it cause I spent a lot of time typing it up. IF anyone was at this show and would like to email me, or you if you just have a question/comment to make, my email addy is ablignaut@home.com I hope everyone else experiences such a great joy as I did when they go see Hanson on their "This Time Around Tour" Thank you ~Angie~
I went to the Montreal concert and it was the BEST concert I have ever been too. My friends and I were front row centre. I thought i'd share with your site some of my pics! I have one of Taylor during In the City. My friends and I also met the guys at their hotel!! There is also a pic of Ike, Me and Zac (hehe it looks like my eyes are closed.. but they are not! *L*) Taylor was wisked away the back door, (he was sick) but then he came to say Hi and sign autographs for us fans but he stayed in the bus. I'll have more pics up on my website: http://jennshearthrobs.cjb.net Enjoy! Luv Jenn
Here's my review for Atlanta, 8/22/00, some pictures are attached in a ZIP file. if it don't work for some reason, you can see them here. (Please include a link for people to go and check out all my other reviews) I went to bed at about 3am that night. I actually got more sleep than I thought i'd get, I didn't think i'd be able to sleep at all. I got up again at 5am to get ready for school as I did every morning. I was sleepy/excited the entire school day (weird combination eh?) But once again, I somehow got through it ;D Also, again, Sara and I were counting down the minutes until school was out and we were leaving for the concert. I met Ryan (my friend) out at the busses. He was going with us to the concert, so was my aunt and mom. We got in my mom's car and went home. I told Ryan to wear a Hanson shirt, and he did. ;) Then my aunt met us at our house because she was driving to the concert and we were on our way. Once again, we listened to Hanson all the way up there. It was good and loud too ;X It didn't seem to take too long to get there, we only got through 9 songs. So we drove up to the tabernacle... there was a looooong line, one of the longest i've ever seen, and it was only 5 o' clock! But it was general admission only, and most people didn't have to go to school, and wanted a good seat I guess. The line got even longer... It was all down the streets in atlanta, around buildings... everything. Scott (Hanson's bassist) was out there along with 2 of the Neve members talking to some chicks. I wanted to talk to him, but there was too many people around. So we waited in line for like forever. And it clearly said "doors open at six". You think they did?! WRONG!! I mean, they may have opened at six, but they didn't let people in until AT LEAST 6:30. We were so impatient... LoL ;D But anyways, It could have been worse. I didn't get to meet any of the people I was supposed to meet there, so that was a bummer. But we moved on in to the tabernacle and the guy at the door took our tickets but didn't give back our stubs. (They said that there wasn't enough time, and to get them after the concert was over). We got in the building, it was suprisingly a lot bigger than I thought it would be. It was so hard to get where we were. We didn't like break in front of anyone but it was really hard. We were on Taylor's side, about 5 rows back. Awesome seats right? Yeah, until people practically push you down to get better seats. GRR. But we got through all that and wound up where we were, about 5 rows from the front. We were all like packed sardines. Everyone was so close together that we couldn't move. (The security was like "MOVE BACK OR HANSON ISNT COMING ON!") LoL, that made everyone move back. So, at around 7, Neve came on. May I say that they KICK BUTT?! Man, they knew how to rock the house. Their guitarist was so lively ;D And even my mom and aunt said that they tore up the Pink Floyd song "Another Brick in the Wall". And, suprisingly, I must agree. Ok, so they sang a few songs, like maybe 5 or 6. They just got the crowd a LITTLE hyped. Then the stage people were setting up Hanson's setting. I swear, every time a freakin' light moved, there were people screaming. LoL. Right before Hanson came on, we witnessed a girl pass out. They had to pass her up to the front, and it looked pretty bad. There were a lot of girls passing out, but I think some of them were excuses to go backstage. (BUT I don't recommend trying that, the place they take you backstage is nowhere NEAR the bands.) So, finally at around 8, the lights went dim *ouch* my ears were peirced with screams, and who else but HANSON came out. They started "You Never Know" and sang it without saying anything. After the first 3 or 4 songs, Hanson was asking everyone to move back as well because there were loads of people passing out due to body heat. There track list (NOT IN ORDER) was as follows: "Stories", "Magic Carpet Ride", "Summertime Blues", "Johnny Be Good", "Money", "Thinking of You", "MMMBop", "I Don't Know", "Smile", "Lonely Again", "Speechless", "Wheres the Love", "Look at You", "A Minute Without You", "You Never Know", "If Only", "This Time Around", "Runaway Run", "Can't Stop", "Wish That I was There", "Sure About it", "Hand In Hand", "In The City", "Beautiful Eyes", "Song to Sing", "Man From Milwaulkie", and "This Time Around (acapella)". They sang in all 27 songs if you count the acapella one. It was so amazing. The songs that they didn't put on their record that they were debating over (Lonely again, Smile, and I don't know) people even knew all of the words to them. This proved that we were all true fans. I loved "Magic Carpet Ride". First of all, because i'm like STUCK in the 60's and the whole background was working for me, but also I LOVE the song, and the band, Steppenwolf. Speechless was really good. That was the song where they introduced the band. They were so nice to the back-up band, they gave them over a minute each to play solo. (Also, Taylor did his little "i'm not worthy" thing ;D). If Only was amazing as always. This Time Around was just AWESOME. It gave me chill bumps. Not only because they are amazing people with amazing voices and amazing songs, but EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the crowd was singing. It was just classic. I LOVED every second of it. The verses that are really slow, everyone had their hands in the air, and the chorus, everyone was up on their feet and JAMMIN! It ROCKED. Lets talk a minute about "Wish That I was There". I'd like to thank Walker and Diana for making such amazing young men! Oh man, they all have AMAZING voices and they are all equal, but to hear Zac sing, so accurately well, was just awesome. It was like ... just WOW! Sure about it... there is one part in that song that is so funny. It don't matter where they sing it, everyone ALWAYS yells out the "cocaine line" ("DID YOU SEE THE MAN WITH THE COCAINE LOAD, ITS ON SALE FOR THE PRICE OF YOUR SOUL") I have no clue why, but they just did! ;D On MMMBop, In the City, and Man from Milwaulkie, Zac had taken his hair down. (Only for those three songs) and BOY WAS HE USING IT! Zac headbanged through the ENTIRE three songs, nonstop! I don't even see how he could see the drums to play them! It was so awesome. (I understand that though, the aunt that was with me's son is a drummer, she was watching Zac most of the time to compare them ;D) OMG, lets talk about Song to Sing for a moment. It was just ... BEAUTIFUL. I mean, it got one of the biggest responses out of all the songs. The crowd was DIGGING it totally. They sang the poem as a 3rd verse... (Don't wander through this glassy surface, expecting to find more than me, 'cause what am i without a purpose, but a lone mirage to see). It was just beautiful. Amazing. Words cannot express how much I enjoyed that song. I LOVED "Beautiful Eyes". That song is... well, beautiful. ;D In the City was the VERY last song (before the acapella part) and like my aunt said "We lost 10 pounds just WATCHING Taylor!" That boy was SO energetic! I thought he was going to jump through the crowd for a moment there! Ike and Zac weren't exactly calm either. ;D But that song was REALLY good. I wish they hadn't saved it for last though, because that just made us want more! At first I was kind of dissappointed that they didn't sing "Save Me" or "I will come to you" (my two favorite songs...) but I got over that... REAL quick. So then Hanson was gone... for good =( After the concert, my aunt bought me a shirt and the venue poster. Then I gave Ashley some money to get me a key chain because they were all ready to go eat then go home. On our way out, they had a box of the ticket stubs. So my aunt, being the bold and lovely person that she is, grabs a whole handfull with the words to me: "This is to make sure you got one". LoL ;D So after we left, we went and ate at The Varsity. It was the closest place to the concert... and obviously everyone knew that. There were a lot of people that came from the concert. I met a girl there named Suzanne (I believe). She told us that Hanson was staying at the Swiss Hotel... and I was like "What do you think I am, a stalker?!" LoL... and a lot of people thought Hanson would go eat at The Varsity, because that is one of the MAJOR things Atlanta is known for. But we were wrong, they didn't go there. I also saw the girl that was right in front of us in the line, AND the girls that was right in front of us AT the concert. It was pretty awesome. So when we finished eating, we were on our way home. I left there with a glowstick (I picked up off the ground ;X), A water bottle (they were passing water out), a venue poster, a t-shirt, Neve stickers, and about 50 ticket stubs as my souvineers. Then later went to Ashley's to get the keychain. So basically, I had a blast, the concert rocked, the guys sounded great, and you people going to a future concert have a LOT to look forward to. This was the best concert I had ever been to. Just for those of you who want to know what they were wearing... here goes: Ike - Khacki pants, blue LONG SLEEVED shirt, and a black over shirt (THAT didn't last for long). Tay - Tight Leather pants, white tank top (which soon became transparent due to sweat), and a tan overshirt (THAT didn't last for long.) Zac - Def Leppard Tour Shirt, and blue jeans with tan knee patches (the ones he wore on LETTERMAN.) So we got home, I put on the "Hanson at the Fillmore" video, and didn't even see a full song. LoL, I was right asleep ;) t i f f a n y
I went to the Los Angeles concert (I first concert ever)and it rocked!! Well, I woke up at 5:30 in the morning to see Hanson in an early newsshow and couldn't wait for the concert. I (of course) recorded the interview and still couldn't wait for the concert. Later at 3:00pm or so, my aunt came to pick us (my brother, dad, and me) up. We headed to the concert(FINALLY). When we got there I saw a lot of Hanson fans. We lined up and waited in the sun for 3 1/2 hours. While we were in line my dad said that there was a tour bus behind the building. My brother and me went to go see if it was Hanson's tour bus. We saw it but, it had the licenses plate from Alabama. I thought to myself that this couldn't be their tour bus because it has the licenses plate from Alabama. So we went back in the line and told my dad about it and he insisted that it was their bus! Later it was time to enter the theatre. I was really excited! I had to go sit by myself (because my brother and dads seat where in the top floor and mine was in the 1st floor). I was sitting down by myself waiting for Hanson to come on. Like 15 minutes before they came on I hear girls saying" Oh my gosh its Many Moore!!!" I turned around and there she was. I said to myself " Who invited her," and didn't really care about her and I turn back to look at the stage and I see Diana passing right in front of me! I was soooo speechless. I was like " I....I....I....um.....I......" then she left out a door. Later I see her coming back with these little girls(but it was not Jessica, Zoë, or Avery)and she showed her backstage pass to the security and he let them in.Diana was wearing a tank top and white shorts and of course her long blond hair. Finally the concert started. I was sooooo happy! They all looked hot too. Taylor(in the beginning of the concert) was wearing a long sleeve red shirt . In the middle of the concert he took that shirt off! He was in a black undershirt! In the middle of the concert poor Taylor almost tripped 2 times...awww. Later when they were going to sing "If Only" Ike said "We have a special guest...".I was like "A special guest? who can that be?" It turned out to be John Popper. He was amazing! He played on "If Only" & "In The City". I would never forget this in my whole life!

Hi guys! I just wanted to say that I recently met Hanson again- in Vancouver.
We turned out to be really lucky, a few things happened: We went on a VTV
Breakfast show, had a little convo with the boys (they remembered us!) and got
meet/greet passes and happened to be front row¢er. Lucky huh?
Anyways, here's a pic of me and Taylor, he was real sweet. And a pic of me
and Ike... the one of me and Zac i accidentally aimed at only him, not me... so
i'm not really in it. I got tons of pics though! I also have a pic
of me, my friend, and Hanson, but that will be posted on Hansonline so i wont
bother to take up more room than i already have... hehe. I plan on writing
a review sometime, let me know if you want to read it by e-mailing me (or if you
have questions/comments) OK? Enjoy guys!! Juliana
Hanson Live in Concert (opening act: M2M)
This Time Around Tour 2000
The Orpheum Theatre, Boston, MA
September 21st, 2000
From My Perspective
Finally, the day had come. After two long years, I
was
going to see my favorite band, Hanson again. The
excitement had been building up since Monday, and
today I was mixed with all different emotions. The
last
period bell rang, and with that signal, Alix and I
scrambled out of Chemistry and got to our lockers.
We met up with Taylor and were all set to leave, but
we
had to wait for Alix's sister. Finally, we were on
our
way to Alix's house.
Once there, we all got changed and did other
necessary
preparations (makeup, hair, etc.). Now we had to
wait
again - this time for Stephanie. Once she arrived,
we took off to catch a train into Boston.
We got off the train and only had to walk about two
blocks to the Orpheum. When I turned the corner and
saw
all the girls outside it, I knew we were at the
right place. We got down to the box office to pick
up
our mystery tickets. This was one thing I was
nervous
about. Would they have them? Where would our
seats be? I opened the envelope and read: row C.
Third
row? I thought. I had had my hopes up for good seats
for
many reasons, and we turned out to have
16th row. Those were still good seats, better than I
had
ever had, but I was expecting better. I turned my
attention away from that, and went back outside where
many fans were already, hours before the show was
scheduled to begin.
Alix and I signed the Hanson.net banner, chatted with
some other fans near the tour busses, and saw Jessica
Hanson walk by, as well as Hanson's back up
players walk in with their instruments. I noticed
something happening down closer to the Theatre, so I
went
to check it out. They were closing off an area with
caution tape, so I got myself a "front row" spot near
the
building to see what would happened. Alix, Taylor,
and
Steph came over, and we waited to see what
happened.
It turns out I had picked a great spot - right where
all
the security and such needed to get through. So we
had
to try to move every time one of them came.
This actually turned out to be a good thing. Behind
us,
a girl with long, wavy blond hair said, "Excuse me
ladies." I moved and as her hair brushed my arm, I
realized it was Avery Hanson. How cool! I thought.
I
have never met a Hanson, let alone been right next to
one. Later on, I turned around and saw the cutest
little boy- it was Mackenzie! He was holding hands
with
a tall girl with long, dark hair. "Excuse me," she
said
to us, and made her way through with Mackie.
I knew she had to be Marion from M2M. Mrs. Hanson
was
also very nice the two or three times she walked by,
and
I think I saw her with little Zoe. And
behind her once, Marit, the blond half of M2M, was
walking. During this time, I talked a little bit
with a
girl next to me, and one of the security guards, and
said
hi to a fellow street team member. :)
At this point, I decided I needed to get some food in
me.
Alix and I took the chance of leaving our spot for
dinner, praying that Hanson wouldn't come out.
We grabbed some smoothies and donuts, but by the time
we
were done, we couldn't go back the way we came. So
we
had to take the long way back to the
Orpheum, and now there were more girls than before.
How
are we going to get back to Taylor and Stephanie? we
thought. Luckily, we did and when we did,
they were annoyed because we took so long. They said
that Hanson had come out- they shook hands, got their
autographs, took pictures, and talked with
them. "No," I said, "you're joking, I know you are."
But two other girls chimed in saying how awesome it
was.
Alix and I couldn't believe it- we had come so
close to meeting our idols. Tears began to well up
in
our eyes, but just then Taylor and Steph laughed,
"Just
kidding!" That was one joke that was definitely
not funny. ;p
Well now it was time for them to open the doors of
the
Theatre. Fans chanted and screamed at every person
they
saw in a window. When the doors opened,
people began to push to get it. I was worried they
would
check bags and find my camera, but with all the
people
pushing, they couldn't. I was so relieved about
that, and we made our way to the souvenir stand where
many girls were already at. I said hi Ashley, whom I
went to the Hanson concert at the Tweeter Center
with two years ago. I purchased a tour book and
poster,
and we made our way to our seats. When we were told
to
go up the stairs, I thought, oh no, this can't
be good. When I saw the actual seating area, it
looked
smaller than I had expected. Wow, this is it? I
thought.
Hanson can do better than this. And they can.
It's weird to think that only two years ago they sold
out
to a venue of 20,000. Now they were selling out to
almost 3,000. But that didn't phase me then, we
were going to see Hanson!
As we made our way to our seats, I looked at the
stage
and saw how close we were. I was expecting closer,
but
these were still great seats to have. As I got
myself ready, the lights dimmed, and out came M2M. I
had
heard that many people didn't like them, so I was
surprised to hear all the screaming that they got.
It was also weird to hear everyone cheering for them,
when they had passed me outside earlier. I thought
they
did pretty good, with a backup drums and guitar.
They did about five songs in a thirty minute set.
Now it was the time we had all been waiting for.
While
we waited for Hanson to come out, two guys from
Hanson.net videotaped and took pictures of the
audience. It will be very cool to see if I made it
in
anything. There was a funny security guard near us
who
pretended to be all excited about seeing them, and
went over to some girls in front of us and told them
to
breathe. hehe I also had stomach cramps at this
point
and thought why now? But when Hanson came
out, I soon realized that they went away! (I say they
cured me, not the advil that I took. hehe) The
screaming
got so loud, and it was so awesome to know that
there were still people out there like me that are
devoted fans of Hanson. There they were, the three
guys
I have waited to see again for so long. The opened
with "You Never Know," and did an absolutely fabulous
job
with every single song.
I had talked to a girl earlier who said she went to
the
meet and greet in Providence the day before, and
didn't
get a chance to meet them because Taylor felt sick.
When he talked in between songs tonite, you could
tell a
difference in his voice, so I think he still was a
little
sick. Poor TayTay. :(
These are the amazing songs that they did, in the
best
order I could get:
1. You Never Know
2. Thinking of You
3. Where's the Love
4. Runaway Run
5. I Don't Know (It was so cool for them to do this
unreleased song!)
6. Smile (I couldn't help but smile during this one.
hehe)
7. Can't Stop (It seemed long to me.)
--Break--
Acoustic set- left to right: Zac, Ike, Tay:
8. Lucy
9. Money (That's What I Want) (It was ironic for
them to
be singing this one. lol)
10. Sure About It
11. Love Song (I loved it when Zac got up to go back
to
the drums when that part came in.)
--Break--
12. You Can't Always Get What You Want (Rolling
Stones)
13. Look at You
14. Wish That I Was There
--Break--
15. MMMBop (I think this is when Tay took off his
shirt
and revealed the famous white wifebeater. ;))
16. Speechless (I don't really remember them playing
this
one for some reason.)
17. If Only
18. This Time Around
19. In the City ("Guys, this is our last song!")
--Encore--
19. Man from Milwaukee (It was hard to hear Zac's
part.)
20. Sunshine of Your Love (Cream)
21. This Time Around (a cappella)
Here are my highlights, or just some random things I
don't want to forget about my experience:
*It seemed way too short to me! It felt like they
had
done only fifteen songs. I guess it's true what they
say- time flies when you're having fun.
*I was too far to throw my gift that I had brought
for
them. Oh well...
*I took about two rolls of film, but I saw a security
guard take batteries out of a girl's camera in front
of
us, so I was careful to watch for them.
*I got so sweaty from the experience, but it was kind
of
hard to avoid that. hehe
*It was so cool how almost everyone was singing
along,
and during slow songs, some people even had their
lighters out.
*A few times during their performance, a guy came out
to
fix Zac's drum set.
*I was really hoping they would play "Magic Carpet
Ride,"
but the concert was still amazing.
*Taylor asked how we were doing (asked us twice, so
we
screamed louder); asked how many people bought their
CD,
TTA ("Wow, that's a lot!"); and said to
make sure no one was getting hurt around us (I didn't
see
it happen). They showed us how to sway, clap, and
jump;
told us to sing along sometimes; they
introduced some songs, and said how great we were.
Also,
Zac said that Boston rocks! hehe
*Ike had a white wifebeater on too.
*They kicked balloons and balls back into the
audience.
*At the end, Taylor (and Ike and Zac a little I
think)
jumped and practically was hanging to touch some
girls'
hands who were on these mini balconies on the
sides.
*They introduced their backup players, while they
each
did a little solo and Hanson, mostly Taylor (and
Ike.I
didn't see Zac do it), bowed to them, with some
of us following. It was cute.
*Alix and Steph claim that Zac (and Taylor?) was
looking
at us. I say he was just looking in our general
direction some of the time, because we were right in
the middle of the break between the first section.
*I am so glad that no one jumped up on stage. :D
Once the show was really over, I went to get my tour
book
under my seat, but it was gone! We looked
everywhere,
but decided some girls in back of us had
taken it, hopefully by accident. I was so pissed
though,
because I had just wasted $15. Luckily, they are
selling
them at HansonStore.com.
As we left the Theatre, the cool air outside felt
nice.
Some guy was selling Hanson pictures. We found
Taylor's
dad, and made our way home. In the car, I
thought about how awesome that just was, but now it
was
over, and depression began to set in. That was it? I
thought. It seemed too short; I wanted to see
them again. I was addicted to seeing them. lol But
I
tried to tell myself that I was lucky to see them
live,
and so close, and I would be able to see them again.
We were tuned into Radio Disney, and they played "If
Only." What a great way to end an awesome nite.
So if you saw Hanson perform on this tour, I'm almost
certain you had a blast. And if you're going to see
them, you will most definitely have one of the best
times of your life. And if you're a person who isn't
a
Hanson fan, maybe you should give them another chance
and
realize why myself and others see them as
one of the best bands. This concert proved how
talented
and incredible they are, and what great music they
can
make. :)
*Concert In Pittsburgh* We Got There At 5:00 There Were Girlz All Lined Up But Not Many. We Went Around To The Back Where The Buse's Were Parked And We was Standing there with about 20 other girls and Hanson and Their Siblings kept coming out and waving and Zac and Ike came out and talked to us and i got to shake their hands and got some picture's then Mackie Came Out and was Throwin Purple Gatorade On Us.Then we Went back around front and stood for another 1/2 then they let us in we got right in then we went and found out seats then we walked back out and bought some stuff and we was getting shoved and stuff...then after we got everythin we went back to our seats and Then M2M came out and performed about 5 songs and everyone was screamin and yellin...then after that HANSON came out everyone went crazy they sang about 17 songs plus some oldie songs then they told us bye and thanks 4 coming then they came back out to make it clear that they was leaving and took a bow and stuff. When we left the building we ran around to the buses and stood there for about 10 mins then the ambulance came and told us we had to move and they took a stretcher out and stuff but we couldnt see what happened so we left and we was leaving and we was screaming out the windows Tay is hot and stuff and other girlz were screamin back then we just went home! THE CONCERT WAS SOO AWESOME THOUGH I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL I SEE THEM AGAIN.
*Hanson in Myrtle Beach and Greensboro*
It was soooo aweseome!!! -Greensboro-
We got their around 1 in the afternoon and walked aroud lookin at fans..and
stuff...but around four..we seen hasnons tour bus comin down the street so we
ran down to the street..Mackie was wavin to us and Tay also waved..it was soo
aweseome..we had fourth row.. -Myrtle Beach-It was awesome..we sat for 16
hours..and got front row! they even touced our hands!!! :o) Email me to chat
about these concerts if u went! Email me at CritterBug14@aol.com
I went to the Metropolis in Montreal. Me and my friend Meg got there at
4:00. The line was so long! But we me alot of cool people in line. Well, the
line started moving at about 5:40, and at 6:00, me and Meg were in the place.
WE thought we wouldn't get good seats, but it just so happens that not
everyone went to the floor, alot of people were in the belcony and sitting in
tables. So me and Meg had our chance to go up front. Only the damn crowd was
just to pushy, so when I realized I was basically clinging for my dear life
in the crowd I got out. Some girls can be real bitches at the hanson concert.
Anyways, so we went in the middle of the floor. Either way you can see the
stage perfectly, and it wasn't so squooshy. M2M came out. everyone loved
them. I had their CD anyways, so when I found out that they were opening for
Hanson I was so excited. The crowd was just so nice to them. They have such
beautiful voices. I was hoping Marion and Taylor would do a song together or
something. Their voices together would just blow the crowd away. But of
course, they didn't. Well, after about 6 songs, M2M exited the stage and
then the about 15 minutes later Hanson came running out. Of course alot of
shreiks took place at that time. It was crazy. Hanson opened with Can't Stop
and it was so incredibly awesome. I took alot of pictures, I know I should of
saved my film until Taylor came out in the wife beater, but I just couldn't
wait. All of them looked good no mater what anyways, so I thought I would use
my film up then. They played Save Me, and that has to be the most coolest
song I have ever heard, the vocals were awesome and it was just.....so cool.
They played a cover of The Rolling Stones and A cover song from Cream as
well. They did such a great job. During the middle of the concert, I was just
getting so tired, with all the arobics Taylor make the crowd do, i could of
sworn I would of lost 20 pounds. It was funny because when Taylor tells you
to do the arobics, he makes you put you hands back and forth over your head,
only he was going so fast, I thought if I followed every move Tay did, I
would of knocked the girls out next to me. It was funny. Me and Meg are weird
and we took down our hair and headbanged to the music. It was funny, because
everyone was looking at us weird, but we didn't care. As if we would see any
of these people again. When Isaac was playing his guitar and he headbanged,
his hair kind of looked like brocolli. I don't know why. But it was
cool:-)Isaac was looking mightly fine that night. Taylor was too. So was Zac,
okay they all looked really good, not to mention sound incredible! The last
song In The City was one of my favorites. When that song came on, I was
rocking out hard! Zac had his hair down and he was headbanging while playing
the drums. His hair was in his face and he reminded me of cousin it to be
honest :-)
But the concert was awesome. I like it when they played If Only. If you
notice, it always looks as if the harmonica always magically appears in Tay's
hand. You never see it. It's cool. We the concert was cool. At the end we
went to go wait for Hanson to come out, we probably could of seen them. But
it was cold and kind of rainy, and we didn;t really want to wait. So we went
to subway to eat, then we came back and people were still there, and so were
their buses. So we waited a few more minutes but decided to just go back to
the hotel. I really regret not staying though, because we probably could of
saw them or something. and I always wanted to meet them. Oh well, theres
always another time. Krys:-)
Well, I just read some really good and
informative reviews for the Boston concert, so I won't repeat the same info.
I will tell you about my experience.
Well, the concert totally rocked! M2M were okay, but believe me, you
knew it when Hanson came out - you couldn't hear anything! My seat was
pretty good - 5th row left center. So, I could see them really well, but I
wasn't in the direct center, so I had no Hanson touch me! LOL.Before Hanson
came out some Hanson.net guys were taping us and when they were walking down
the aisle past me I let out a shrill scream! Much to my (and my throat's)
dismay, he didn't notice me! Anyway, Tay was SO full of energy! He kept
directing us to clap and wave - it was tiring, but so much fun! At one point
he even had us bowing to the backup band - I happily obliged! Ike was
energetic, too, but not nearly as much as Taylor! Zac seemed a little
unusually quiet, but he smiled the whole time.
After the concert, I waited in line for about 40 minutes for
merchandise, and after almost fainting (advice - do not go crazy at a Hanson
concert w/ out water!), the remaining people were kicked out of the lobby. I
guess Hanson were coming out, and they wanted the fans outside. So, it
really sucked cause we didn't get to buy anything. But, we went outside, and
much to our dismay, we were informed that Zac had already come out. Well, we
looked at the tour bus and saw Diana and Avery in the front window! All the
fans started waving and Diana waved back before entering the back of the
bus. Well, my mom went to wait in the car, but me and my friend were
determined to catch a glimpse of a Hanson. So, me, my friend, and about 10
other fans waited outside with our eyes glued on the bus. While we waited,
we entertained ourselves by chanting "Hanson" and singing "MMMBop." We
chatted with some security while watching Jessica play around with a bakup
person (I didn't get a good look at him, I think it was Jason). We saw a
friend bring Mac on to another bus - what a cutie! And, much to our
excitement, we saw Taylor and Ike get on the bus! Isaac saw our little group
and waved! We still were not satisfied, and continued to wait. Well, the
backup guitarist Jason Taylor walked across the little street and was
signing people's stuff. I found it kinda sad how people were just holding
out things and not uttering a praise at all to him. So, after I got the back
of a Hanson sticker signed, I held out my hand. By mistake, he held out the
marker to me, and then realized what I meant, so he shook my hand! I told
him I thought he was really talented and I really appreciated him even if he
was in the backup band. He seemed really happy and replied "Thanks! Did you
guys enjoy the show?" I told him that they were great, and me and my friend
returned to our spot with the others.Just then, security was making us
leave, so we walked back to the car. So ends my Hanson experience. I may
only be 18, but I know a good band when I hear one! And Hanson are totally
talented! If anyone was there at the concert and was in our little Hanson
group after the concert, e-mail me at devoe57@morrisville.edu
Stay cool and rock on!
A faithful fanson forever,
Melissa :)
HANSON ROAD TRIP - AUGUST 15-18, 2000
BY: MARY, KELLY, and ERIN
The only thing that would make the term "Road Trip" better would be to put
"Hanson" in front of it. And we: Mary B., Erin W., and Kelly U., a.k.a. "The
Tasteful Teenyboppers" have just completed "Hanson Road Trip 2000." The
following is a recap on all of the Hanson events we attended. We left
Shreveport, LA at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15. Tuesday was our "Head
Start" on the Hanson events planned in Louisiana. On our way to Baton Rouge
we made a quick stop in Lafayette at KSMB studios to get information about
the following days events. Donning matching "Hanson Road Trip" shirts which
we designed ourselves the week before, the staff was more than happy to tell
"the girls from Shreveport" all about the planned interview. From there it
was on to New Orleans to pick up our tickets at the House of Blues. At the
House of Blues (the concert venue for the 17th), we spoke to staff members
about when to arrive, which doors would open first, etc... The bouncer
remarked, "This is a well calculated military operation you girls are
running." Then it was back to Baton Rouge to scout out the Mall of Louisiana,
the location of an autograph signing, and to get some sleep. We awoke at 3:00
a.m. the next morning to the sound of Mary's alarm clock, which sounds like a
rooster being beaten to death with his own legs, and drove back to Lafayette.
At the radio station we joined with three other girls who were also waiting
to see Hanson. To our luck only 15 people came to wait outside for Hanson.
Ten other people won a contest and got to sit in on the interview with
Hanson. While the "losers" confronted the "winners" with reasons why they
shouldn't have won, the "Tasteful Teenyboppers" confronted a nervous winner
also named Erin. A radio van outside was broadcasting the morning show
before Hanson arrived. The DJ, recognizing Mary, because she had tried to
win the Breakfast with Hanson contest, kept mentioning "the girls from
Shreveport" and set another DJ outside to interview us about our matching
t-shirts. After waiting 40 minutes longer than expected (the boys were
late), Hanson stepped off their tour bus. As they walked by, Mary took a
few pictures to capture the moment, but Erin and Kelly stood there with
their mouths open, perfectly content to just stare. None of us screamed, but
we were the only silent ones. To escape the heat, we retreated to the car
and listened to the interview, but we just had to get out during "If Only."
A parent of one lucky winner told us that you could hear through the
studio window. So we went to the window to listen. After the song we
applauded and lo and behold the blinds opened a bit. We started waving to
the people inside (hanson wasn't in direct sight). Kelly leaned down to wave
to the friend we made earlier, and Taylor, obviously having the same idea,
leaned down to see the crowd outside. In doing so, he startled Kelly so bad
she fell in the bushes. Taylor yanked the blinds all the way up and everyone
laughed. "Oh my god I think that girl just fell down!" he exclaimed, and the
DJ informed the listeners what had happened. Kelly who was totally
embarrassed and Mary, who had been injured by an obsessed Zac fan, who was
throwing herself against the studio window, both decided it was time to go
back to the car. By the way for you curious teenyboppers they sang "If Only"
and "Sure About It" acoustically. After the interview we went back over to
the barricades to see Hanson one last time before they got on their bus to
leave Lafayette. When they came out of the studio, they were met with cheers
and Mary shouting, "This is the girl that fell down!" Taylor walked right up
to Kelly, extended his hand, and said, "I'm sorry." Kelly said, "Dude, you
scared the crap out of me." "I know," he said "I'm so sorry." Then Isaac
shook Kelly's hand and asked how she was doing. He then shook Mary's hand
and said, "I know you from somewhere. You go to a lot of shows, right?" Mary
said, "I was in Atlanta." But neither of them really seemed to care. After
they got on the bus, we decided it was time to get to Baton Rouge for the
mall signing. On our way, we stopped for a quick pit stop due to our over
excitement. As we were yielding to on-coming vehicles on the I-10 entrance
ramp, we saw their huge, maroon tour bus at a traffic light. To make a long
traffic story short the bus followed us all the way to Baton Rouge. We had
fun singing our own version of "Where's The Love." "Where's the bus, It's
behind us..." When we came to the mall exit we were surprised to see they
were still behind us. Kelly said, "Aww..It's turning..." so we looked
forward towards the mall "into that hotel!!" We looked back just in time to
see the bus pull into a hotel parking lot. Being Tasteful Teenyboppers we
proceeded towards the mall. When we got to the mall a line had already
started to form for the autograph signing which was still 6 hours away. So
we waited 6 hours along with many other fellow hard core Hanson fans. The
earliest of which had been there since 7 a.m. While we waited, we were
forced to listen to the radio station that was hosting the autograph signing
and not only did they flat out refuse to play any Hanson, but we were
subjected to listen to Brittany Spear's, "Lucky" 15 times in a two hour
period (Kelly counted). After an extremely long wait Hanson finally appeared
and were greeted by thousands of screaming fans. In groups of three we were
pushed literally, by security guards through the autograph line. The
following are our personal experiences -
Erin: As she hands her drawing of Hanson for Zac to sign. Zac said, "Do you
really want me to sign this?" To which she replied, "Yes please." He said
"Oh ok." Isaac just looked up and smiled saying thanks for coming and shook
her hand. He then passed it to Taylor. Taylor said, "WOW! Did you draw
this?" "Yes sir I did," she replied. "It's really good," Taylor said. He
extended his hand for her to shake, saying thanks for coming.
Kelly: Puts her Hanson Road Trip poster in front of Zac. Zac asked, "You
want me to sign this?" Kelly paused long enough to fight down a sarcastic
comment and said, "Ummm...Yeah." Zac then signed it and passed it on to
Isaac. As she moved down the line Zac extended his hand and cleared his
throat. She followed the paper and moved on to Isaac. Isaac said "Thank you
for coming," and then signed over Kelly's name. She said, "Isaac you covered
up my name." Then he passed it down to Taylor. Kelly, who at this point, had
her obnoxious talents fully restored, said to Taylor, in her best
teenybopper voice, "I remember you!" Isaac, hearing the joke, began to laugh.
Taylor, who didn't quite
understand at first, looked up and said, "Oh really were have we...Oh I am
so sorry." Obviously recognizing Kelly as being the girl he had publicly
humiliated only hours before. Kelly unable to say any more turned and walked
away very quickly.
Mary: Handing Zac her "This Time Around" Australian import album cover to
sign. After he signed it he took a double take on the album cover, then
looked at Mary and said, "Cool!" He extended his hand for her to shake.
Mary shook his hand and said, "Yeah 'Smile' and 'Lonely Again' are two of my
favorite songs." Then he passed it to Isaac. Isaac signed the album cover
and as he looked up at Mary to shake her hand she asked if he remembered
her. He looked a little confused so she said, "I was at the radio show this
morning in Lafayette." He just smiled and passed it to Taylor. After Taylor
signed the album cover he shook her hand, then she walked away
(Author's note: We later found out, to our sad knowledge, that Hanson sang a
little of "This Time Around" before leaving the mall).
After another exciting Hanson event we headed for New Orleans to prepare for
Thursdays concert, listening to of all things a Hanson interview. To make
another really long story short we tried to camp out for the concert, but
the House of Blues, being severely unprepared for Hanson mania, called the
police and made all the eager fans leave. We were told that they wouldn't
let us form a line until noon the following day. That sounded a little
fishy, so we returned at 4 a.m. to find a significant line formed. In seeing
this line, we decided to stay. For the next 8 hours Erin, Kelly, Mary,
Brandy, Kristen, and Erin took turns holding a spot in line, sleeping, and
acquiring the necessary caffeine. It was all fun and Hanson until noon when
it became unbearably hot. Thankfully during the hottest part of the day we
were let in on some inside information that would allow us front row. So we
took the rest of the afternoon off. We walked around the French Quarter,
then returned to our hotel. After resting and freshening up we headed back
to the House of Blues. On our way out our hotel door we saw Hanson's tour
bus drive around the corner onto our street. We walked a little faster to
see if we could catch a glimpse of them. Later we ate dinner at the House of
Blues but unfortunately we were too excited to enjoy it. At one point Erin
W. and Kelly went to the restroom, only to find out that Hanson's sound
check could be heard perfectly through a "locked" door. Apparently, Hanson
are perfectionist for this is what we heard: "Ike we really need to do that
one again...no we really need to do that one again." said Taylor. Then more
girls came in and due to their giggling we couldn't hear so we left to get
back in line. After waiting for what felt like a millennium, but in
actuality, was probably closer to two hours, they opened the doors. Although
they only let in a few people at a time there was still a major rush. We
past nervous House of Blues restaurant goers, scared parents and one proud
parent whose daughter, Zoe, was dancing (who by the way is the cutest thing
we have ever seen). Forty-five minutes later the place was packed with girls
screaming for Hanson, even though there was a good 25 minutes before they
would take the stage. Every now and then someone would open one of the
windows located above the stage and the audience would scream. Kelly, who
really didn't care who was waving, screamed, in a rare quiet moment, "For
the love of God, keep the window shut!" The window immediately opened and
someone stuck a hand out just in spite of her perhaps, but that was the last
time it opened. The pushing was obscene, people had already begun to pass
out. We feared for our lives, well maybe not or lives, but certainly for our
places in front of the stage. Finally, the brothers took the stage and the
roar was deafening. The stage was completely dark but flashbulbs lit it up
like a strobe light. They opened the show with "Look At You," then "Smile"
and since very few people have the "This Time Around" import album, almost
no one knew the song. In fact, we were the only fans in sight singing along;
which earned us "Smiles" from all three Hanson's. The following is a list of
the songs played and our comments on those we vividly remember -
"If only" - Taylor's harmonica is very impressive.
"This Time Around"
"Run Away Run"
"Save Me" - during which Kelly was lifted a foot off the ground by swaying
girls.
"Dying to Be Alive"
"Can't Stop"
"Sure About It"
"Hand in Hand"
"In the City" - Taylor didn't play during this song; he just walked in front
of the stage trying to get girls to riot.
"A Song To Sing"
"River"
"Thinking of YOu"
"Stories" - This was funny because Taylor sang the first two words of "Sure
About It" he said "Opps" and then blushed (My, that boy blushes a lot). The
look on his face at that moment was priceless.
"Man from Milwaukee"
"Beautiful Eyes"
"Speechless"
"Piece of My Heart" - They are not Janis Joplin, but they gave her fair
tribute.
"Johnny B. Goode" - a Louisiana favorite.
Of course "MMMbop" - Which is Kelly's favorite song of all time. When they
played the opening chords she let out a shrill "YEAH!!" and then felt
extremely stupid.
They ended the show with Zac singing lead on "I Want You to Want Me." Taylor
played the drums on this one, allowing Zac to walk around (trying to get
girls to riot). He did the cutest little dance (priceless) and held the
microphone out for the audience to sing a little. Walker Hanson, who like
any proud parent video taped the entire concert. He talked to us between
songs. At one point he said, "Nice place you got here," as if we owned the
House of Blues. We asked about a tour video or a live album and he informed
us that the guys had enough material for a new album. "YAY!!"
Now our personal highlights of the show -
Erin wore her "crazy cool" lipstick that resembles Dorothy's ruby red
slippers. Everyone stared at her, including the backup band who found it
quite amusing.
Zac pointed and laughed at Mary when she tried to watch the concert through
a security guard's legs(they were pulling a girl right over her head and she
couldn't see). Before the concert, Mary had said that she wanted Isaac's
guitar pick and if she couldn't have that, then she wanted Taylor's Gatorade
bottle. Realizing that the guitar pick was basically unattainable and
thinking hanson had finished their set, she asked a roadie if she could have
the gatorade bottle. He gave her the bottle and she was quite content. The
funny part was when Hanson came back onstage to play the encore, you could
tell Taylor was looking around for his gatorade. "Oops..."
Here is a random compliment. All three Hanson's make wonderful eye contact
with their audience. When Isaac made eye contact with Kelly she made a silly
face and stuck out her tongue. Isaac laughed and gave her a "What was that?"
look.
Taylor smiled and waved to Erin E. (he remembered her from the Lafayette
radio station). At the very end of the concert Taylor unscrewed his water
bottle took a gulp and poured it directly on our t-shirt group. Then dropped
the water bottle on us. Unfortunately at one point Erin W. was injured so
she went over the barricades. Erin would like to thank "Storm" and "#27" for
coming to her rescue. Also the obsessed fans behind her who made her miss
the last three songs. I hope the next concert you go to you get crappy seats!!
After the concert, we were pretty worn out so we headed back to the hotel
and recapped the entire thing. In closing, we'd like to say that Hanson put
on an amazing show. Not only do they have great stage presence, but they are
three, very talented musicians. What other band could inspire people to
arrive 24 hours early to their concert.Final Toll: 100 pictures, 3 new
friends, 50 thousand bruises, 1 autographed import album cover, 1 autographed
drawing, 1 autographed road trip poster, 1 gatorade bottle, 1 water bottle
and an experience to last a lifetime (or at least until the next concert).

*Hanson in Philly* This was my third Hanson concert this time around, but my first one this year. It has been two years since the last time I've seen them in concert. September 16th, 2000 was the day of the Upper Darby concert in Tower Theatres. Also known as Philadelphia! My dad was taking my cousin and me. Allison and I were so psyched up. I even woke up at 6:45 AM, just say today was THE DAY. (I'm am the biggest dork you'll ever meet.) Anyway, I went back to sleep and woke up later at about 9:00 AM. We got showers, ate, and waited for my clothes to dry. My mom brought us the store so we could cash in our Hanson Fund. (We've been saving in change for about a month) On the way there, we saw a truck that said, 'Hanson.' (HeHe) I thought that was cool. It was even spelled the same. We got back to my house and then left at 4:45. We got to the Tower at 5:00. We brought our signs with us. (If anyone wants to know, my sign said Chowder with I love Tay written many times. . So if you saw it and me, email me and we can talk..TaylorsRunAway@Juno.Com) There were a lot of people there already which I was surprised. We walked to the side of the Theatre were the buses were parked. Hanson already got off and were inside. Avery and Jessica who was holding Zoey came out. At first I didn't realize it was them cause I wasn't paying attention, but I finally noticed and took a picture to add to my Hanson scrapbook. (I only took one. I don't like to invade their privacy that much.) Later, Mackie ran out with Jessica, but I didn't take a picture. Mainly because I didn't know It was Mackie and I when I got my camera out, it wasn't worth it. But I saw them and they are so adorable. :o) Allison and I got really bored, so we decided to go by the bus and take pictures by it. I saw people in there, so I went on the other side of the street to look through the window on the side. It looked like Avie was standing there, so I took a picture. But then I realize it wasn't here, but her friend. So like a dork, I stood there trying to figure out who it was. After I took the picture, she gave me this look that is really hard to explain. Sorta like a confused-paranoid-go ahead and take the picture kind of look. It was so hilarious and I started cracking up. 'Til this day, thinking back at it, it was so funny because of the fact I stood there like a dork. Well, anyway, I talked to a lot of Hanson fans and they were really cool. Lots of people got backstage, but I was too late. They already picked the people. I could of gotten backstage with Hanson.Net, but when my Dad went to sign me up, it didn't take his credit card. (Of course.) Finally, we made it inside. I darted right passed the camera checking people. I saw a lot of people getting their cameras taken away and batteries taken out. I had seventh row and four cameras with me, no one was taking them from me. :oP So, thank gosh we all made it through gracefully. We went down to our seats and I was in awe. I was freaking out. I threw my hands in the air to celebrate and I lost my balance and fell back. (I heard people say stuff about that. don't think I didn't hear. Its not my fault I fell.. geez.) We made it to our seats and I was like, 'This is cool!' I went to find my friend Katie, but she wasn't there. Time passed and the opening act, M2M, came on. When I first got there I was mad that they were opening for them. There was something about them I didn't like and I think everyone else agreed. There were many people with 'M2M Sucks!' signs. But as they played, people actually got into them and started clapping along with their music. And personally, I thought they were really good. The blonde haired girl, (I'm not sure which M she was..) was pretty good on the guitar. I mean, they aren't Hanson status, and sad to say, they probably won't ever reach it, but I was impressed with them. I'm not running out to buy their CD and I was so disappointed that Admiral Twin didn't open for them, cause they are the absolute best, not counting Hanson, but I appreciated them. (I know I just rambled on, sorry..) So, M2M got off and five minutes later, my boys came on stage. They opened up with "Look at You." I cried. At first I didn't think I was going to, but I did. All the emotions came out and I just bawled. But I was so close to Taylor I had to calm myself. I didn't want him to see me crying. So I was ok and started to sing along. Tay was directly in front of me! Zac was a beast on the drums. He was amazing. I watched him for the longest time. He is so hilarious. He looks in the air and all around. Sometimes he sings, sometimes he doesn't. He was laughing at something and I couldn't figure out what it was. He is so goofy. Everytime he looked over at my side my heart would pump literally outta my chest. It was weird. At first he had his hair in a pony tail, but then he took it down! He did some major head banging and all you could see was hair all over the place. Taylor was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. He has the bluest eyes and great hair, even though he keeps cutting it. Lots of arm muscle, but he is so skinny! I mean, I know he was skinny before, but THIS skinny. Geez. I'm gonna send him a basket of food. I was on Tay's side, so I couldn't see Ike as good as Tay. But Ike turned sideways a lot, so I could get great pictures. When he went on our side, I got pictures of him, so it turned out great. His fro bags me up! It is so funny! I'm telling ya, it expands every time I see it. Its so cute! He is an awesome guitar player even if he thinks he stinks. Song to Sing was very pretty and intimate. At first, I could not understand what Tay was saying. I thought it was in Spanish or something. But then I understood. I wasn't impressed with Lucy as much as I thought I would. I thought Zac was going to sing it. Even though, the harmonies sounded great. I moved up to the first row by the third song. Actually, it wasn't even a row. I was in the aisle. There was a small gap between first row and the stage, so there was about four people in front of me. Though it was compacted into a secluded area so, we barely had room. I was one of the tallest people there, so I had a great view. I could see over people's heads. Allison is short so I had to tell people to put down their signs and get down from their chairs. Some people were so thick headed. I swear. They looked at me like I was speaking some language other than english. It took six times for me to tell them until they actually got down. During "Thinking of You" I was jumping up and down a lot with the camera around my neck. Well, like a big dork, it smacked me right in my face and I look up and Tay's looking over laughing. So I'm thinking he saw me being my dorky self which is just great. I know you're probably thinking, 'What a crazy person! She actually thinks Tay laughed at her.' Don't worry, I would of thought the same thing if I read it. But just as long as I know what happened, I'm cool. I call it, 'When two dork's eyes met for a split second as the sparks fly' (Haha, ::smacks self in forehead:: I'm so dumb.) Speaking of dorks, Tay is a big one. I love him with all my heart for a very long time, but he is so dumb! HeHe) When introducing the 'Hanson Band,' he bowed down to them. Ike joined in a little later, but Tay looked stupider doing it. Sometimes I wonder why I like them."If Only" came on and I knew from the beginning they were about to sing it. Allison and I did everything Tay was going to do a couple seconds before he did it so we felt special. As soon as Tay got on the harmonica, I got Allison's camera up and took a picture. The camera began to rewind which meant there were no more pictures left. Her camera was done. That was the last roll of film for her. So I went to my bag to grab my camera that I had and I couldn't find it! I started spazzing out! I bawled my eyes out in the chair. My life was in that camera! So I walk back to my original seat where my Dad stayed and told him. I didn't know what to do with myself. I stood there pacing back and forth grabbing at anything so I wouldn't lose my temper. My dad told me to go back up there and look for it on the floor because I most likely dropped it. So, during when Tay is singing "If Only" I'm searching the floor for my beloved camera. I still couldn't find it. So I slouched down in my chair and started crying. It was weird because I'm just sitting there while Tay is performing. So, by some miracle of fate, something made me look a couple rows back. There, sitting at the corner of the leg of the chair, two rows back from me, was the camera. I told the person behind me to grab it and sat in my seat, with tears of joy. I took one breath and stood up. It was the end of "If Only" and Tay was on the harmonica for the last time. I ended up taking two more pics. Now coming into the concert, my goal was to get many pictures of Tay and Ike sharing the mic. Even though Zac's solo was my fave, "In the City" was probably also tied with it. It's one of my favorite songs and I absolutely love the guitar sound. As soon as I heard the guitar key, Allison and I looked at eachother, (cause she knows that this is the part I've been waiting for) and dove for the chairs. When the time came for Tay and Ike to share the mic, I snapped as many pictures as I could. (I think a got a total of seven) I was so happy! Tay jumped around so much too, as I knew already. But seeing it for yourself in person, is much more exciting, of course. I got a great picture (at least I think) when Tay came real close to the speaker on our side and looked into the audience. The ancore was my all time favorite part. It was Zac's rendition of Cheaptrick's, "I Want You To Want Me.' Not only is this an awesome song, its even better when Zac takes lead on it! He was getting into it. Clapping his hands and shaking his butt to the beat! I can still picture the whole thing right now. I loved it! And when he jumped onto his drums and flew in the air, I was freaking! I can see why Tay played the drums on this song. It had a simple beat. Though I do give credit to him. He plays a lot of instruments and he did an awesome job Saturday night! I'm like in love with Zac.but I still am devoted to my Tay. (It's been four years now.) Finally, they did their acapella (or acapoko, as Zac would say) of This Time Around and then left. I took us sometime to get out of the theatre, but we finally made it. Allison and I waited in line for thirty minutes to get our Hanson junk. We got a tour book, poster, keychain, and three pictures. *>* Song List *>* (In no particular order) Email me if I missed any songs! -Look at You -Where's the Love? -Runaway Run -Piece of my Heart (Janis Joplin) -Thinking of You -Save Me -Lucy -Song to Sing -If Only -Sure About It -Can't Stop -This Time Around -I Want You To Want Me (CheapTrick) -In the City -Can't always get What You Want (Rolling Stones) -Mmmbop -Cross Town Traffic (Jimi Hendrix) -Smile -I don't know -You Never Know -Love Song -Hand in Hand -Minute Without You -This Time Around (Acapella) Outfits: Ike- Brown leather pants, pale pinkish collared shirt Tay- Greenish-blue shirt with a gray muscle shirt underneath, jeans Zac- Red shirt with navy blue stripes around the sleeves sporting number eleven, green pants, red shoes. Finally thoughts.. Ike: Well, Ike is Ike! (HeHe) He's too perfect for words. He is really into what he does. He's THE best guitarist in the world, but that's just my opinion. He's always talking about how much he idolizes certain guitar legends, but he doesn't even know he's a legend himself. Jonny Lang should have 'Isaac Hanson' coming outta his mouth all the time and maybe have Ike play at HIS concerts. Oh, and his voice is so strong. He has such a rock 'n roll sound in him, its crazy! Isaac is a great-looking guy with awesome teeth and the coolest fro. God love 'em! Tay: Tay has been my man for the longest time and even though I've seen him and his other brothers get off the bus in '98, this is still probably the closest I've REALLY seen him! As soon as I saw the top of his head, I was in heaven! He is one-of-a-kind person and seems really down to earth. He plays every instrument known to man. And even though he pounds his keyboards and it doesn't look as though he's hitting the right keys (especially when he's jumping) it comes out beautiful. His voice is absolutely amazing and I don't how he does it. Someone gave him a dose of something special on March 14th. (LoL) Tay is simple great. The only thing is, he is too skinny and needs to eat. Though, dork or not, I still love him. :o) Zac: Now where in the world should I start? '97 you see this little boy jumping around all hyper, not really know what's going on, and four years later, change him with someone completely different! Okay, so maybe it IS still Zac, but he DID some changing. First, this boy can play those drums. He is a beast on them things! The power he has to do all that drumming non-stop is unbelievable! All I gotta say is buff. Now, his voice may not be like Tay's, but it's awesome. Different you might say. Man, he can really belt out those notes. (When he decides to sing! HeHe) Every time I think I've "I want you to want me" I'll laugh because like said before, I picture his whole performance. He makes me laugh so much, especially when I watched him on the drums. Watched for youself and see. Or maybe it's just me, who knows? All I know is that Zac is the hottest thing I've seen in my life and his buff body has no competition against Tay, except maybe Tay's muscles. ( :: Sigh J :: ) Zac is hella good looking and boy would I like my hands on him! Sum it up: The concert totally kicked butt! :oP Email me at TaylorsRunAway@Juno.Com AIM: TaysLiLPrety, WantZactoWantMe, LoveIkesFro .. Chowder. *Heather-
I went to the Poughkeepsie show! and it rocked!!! The crow was really energetic and they screamed so loud!!.I got there about 6:45 PM traffic and the rain etc...I bought this poster. When M2M came out the crow was very nice to them,I got really good seats someone missed the concert cuase anyone came to take me out!LOL.When HANSON came on the stage the crow was amazing personally i was screaming and i was all crazy,i can't remember the songs they play cuase i was very excited but i have to say that the were very very nice, specially love song, they started in the acoustic form and then Zac stood up and went to the drums to play like he never has before!!!By the time they went like 3 minutes aout i met two girls crying and i asked them why??Their story is really sad:They got tix for the Washington D.C. concert and they never get them back home etc..nobody could take them to the show,so they stayed at home. This show thay had very good seats like K17.K18. But they arrived at the show aat 8:30 because of the rain and traffic congestion so they just were very sad at first because that was their first hanson concert experience. In a few minutes the were clapping, singin waving.etc...After the show we went to the buss to see hanson and by the time we talked about their experience with some of the guards,After we were waiting to see hanson ,Walker came out and was talking to the fans. When the buss was leaving the fans ran to the corner to get a touch of the buss at least.Somehow i don't know how this guard came out and called this two girls,i don't know what they talked about but when they came to me they showed me this Ike's pic and the cover of the TTA cd signed by HANSON.Thay told me that this guard talked to hanson about their bad luck and the guys were really sweet and nice to leave them this things!!Which i think was really nice and sweet form HANSON.I just want to say two this two girls:You guyz rock!.And you both are very nice!.SEE YA next tour!!!BYE BYE!
My sister and I went to the Hanson show at the ORPHEUM THEATRE in BOSTON on September 21st...it was awesome! We got there around 1:30pm, (the doors were opening at 7:30pm) and it was really cool because the Orpheum is like set back from the main road, so there's a whole little alley type road that all the fans were hanging out in, and the buses were parked there, too. When we got there, there were probably around 75 people already at the Orpheum. We asked a few people if Hanson had showed up yet, because there was a blue tour bus there already. Nobody really knew that we asked because they had just gotten there a little while ago, too. So we waited around for about 20 minutes, and then this huge red bus pulled in and everyone started freaking out because I think we all just knew that it was Hanson. We were standing over on the side and we saw Zac in the back window, pulling the shade down. Their promotions lady was standing up in the bus by the door and I think a lot of people thought she was Taylor because her hair looked exactly like his! Then the bus parked next to the other one, and the door opened and the promotions lady came out, and then Avery came behind her. She was wearing a red shirt and jeans and she had a big blue backpack on. She walked right on into the Orpheum. Then Mackenzie came out with a guy in a suit and he was kinda pudgie :) but he was cute. He had really dark blond hair and his skin was like Ike's - darker than normal. Then Zac came out of the bus, and he was wearing jeans and a black Led Zeppelin t-shirt, and Converse sneakers. He waved at everyone and went right in. Then Ike came out, he was wearing jeans and a yellow-ish plaid shirt, and he was carrying his boots and a belt and some other stuff - I think it was the outfit that he was going to play in that night. He shook a few people's hands really quick and walked into the Orpheum. Diana came out next, holding Zoe's hand, and he hair was sooooo long! It was almost down to her knees. Then Taylor came out and the screams erupted...he was wearing a white shirt and jeans and he had on a thick brown belt. He was carrying a messenger bag that was made of all these cordouroy patches. (My sister got some really awesome pictures of him coming out of the bus!) He waved and shook a lot of people's hands. Right when he got to the doorway of the theatre, a whole bunch of girls started getting closer and closer to him because there were like no guards out there, and he just stopped and put his hand out and was like, "Don't come any closer," and everyone just stopped dead in their tracks. It was funny. Then they moved the bus and Walker went in. We waited around for another 10 or 20 minutes, and a red mini-van pulled up and Hanson came back out of the Orpueum and got into the van. Everyone was crowding around and going nuts. They had to do the HansonWorld chat, I think, and that's why they left. They came back at some point, but they must have snuck in the back way because we were there the whole time and we never saw them or the van. We waited around for a long time and then we kind of started to form lines to get into the theatre. There were these 2 guys with Hanson.Net shirts on and they were running around with a video camera and taping all of the fans and we were all screaming and it was echoing like crazy because we were in this alley. They were giving out Meet & Greet passes at one point too, but sadly we didn't get any. Then finally they let us in. They didn't check bags or anything even though there was a sign that said no cameras. We went into the Orpheum and there was a HUGE crowd at the merchandise table. My sister and I went to go up the staris to find our seats and we saw Jessie standing around in the lobby talking to one of Hanson's crew members, and then she went and bought a drink. We found our seats and the show started. M2M came out and played like 5 songs, there was no booing, which was good. I didn't really like them but I think they did a pretty okay job. Then the lights went down and Hanson came out and the screaming was so loud I thought my ear drums had blown out! I wrote down the set list through the whole show: 1. You Never Know 2. Thinking Of You 3. Where's The Love? 4. Runaway Run 5. I Don't Know 6. Smile 7. Can't Stop Acoustic: 8. Lucy 9. Money (That's What I Want) 9. Sure About It 10. Love Song 11. You Can't Always Get What You Want 12. Look At You 13. Wish That I Was There 14. This Time Around 15. Speechless (+ intros) 16. If Only 17. MMMBop 18. In The City Encore: 19. Man From Milwaukee 20. Sunshine Of Your Love 21. This Time Around chorus - acapella The show was really good. When Taylor was doing the intros of Scott Hogan and all the other back up players he was doing this weird thing where he'd like bow down to them and the Ike started doing it too and I think they were trying to get the audience to do it but no one was really catching on. During some songs (like In The City) Taylor would run over to the people who were in the box seats on the sides of the stage and hang off the balconies there. After they played If Only Taylor took off his button down shirt that he had on, leaving him in a wife-beater (woo hoo) Ike did the same after they played MMMBop. Geez everyone was screaming so loud at those points in the show! Then after they did the chorus of This Time Around the show was over. It went by so fast! But it was really well done and I think they've improved a lot since the Albertane Tour. Take any chance you can get to see Hanson play live because they're so energetic and talented, it's the best time ever! -OneGirlArmy007@hotmail.com
Hey, I went to the Hanson concert Thursday night in Boston and it was AMAZING!! Me and my Best friend and my dad got to Boston around 3, and we went straight to the orpheum. the first thing I saw was Hanson's tour bus and another blue one and two girls told us that Isaac and Zac and the whole family was already inside but that Taylor was still on the bus. Knowing he had to come out sooner or later, we went and grabbed a spot by the entrance, and sure enough about 5 minutes later he got off the bus. He shook a lot of hands and smiled for peoples cameras and then security took him inside. After that we were gonna go walk around Boston but then a couple girls said that you could hear the sound check through this door that was in this small mall right next to the orpheum, so we went in there until security made us leave. well..after that we were too excited to leave and im REALLY glad we didnt cause around 3:45 or so they brought in this red van with tinted windows and security was telling all the girls by the orphuem entrance to back up so we knew that they would be coming out. I looked into the door to the orpheum and i saw Ike and behind him were Zac and Tay and then they walked out..i got some GREAT pics of them walking by. I felt kinda bad though because all the girls were banging on the wondows to the van. Anyways, after they left, we saw their dad walking around with Jessica and my dad asked him about meet and greats and they ended up talking for a few minutes, and then Zoe was in the tour bus window blowing kisses and dancing around..she is the CUTEST thing ever!! After that, we went and got some lunch and before we knew it it was time to get into the orphuem. When we got in there was already a HUGE line for merchandise we just went to our seats. When we found our seats we started FLIPPING OUT! we had 6th row center..AMAZING seats! then we saw Jon and Alex from hanson.net and they interviewed us for a video they were making. Them m2m came onstage..they werent very good and i wasnt paying too much attention to them..so after they went off Alex and Jon were filming the crowd and they had everyone chanting hanson.net, hanson.net..it was pretty cool. So, finally Hanson came onstage..when the lights went out i nearly died!! You could see all these little flashlights then they ran out, and they just kinda stood there and looked around for a few minutes and then broke into you never know, which was INCREDIBLE! after that they played Thinking of You, and the lighting was GREAT! they played wheres the love after that, then runaway run. The whole concert was great, they had so much energy and were all in such great moods. taylor was running all over the place and kicking beach balls, and Ike was running all over the stage playing guitar and zac smiled the WHOLE night. They have such an amazing stage presence too. I would have to say the best song was this time around because the WHOLE place was singing it..hearing 2, 800 people singing "and we wont go down" gives you chills! :) If only was great too, especially before they played it and taylor did a little test of our coordination. They all looked amazing too, Zac was wearing a black led Zeppelin shirt with Green pants i believe, and Tay was wearing AWESOME jeans with a really cool belt and a blue button up shirt with a white wifebeater underneath, and Ike was wearing Jeans and this orangish button up shirt with a white wifebeater underneath. After the concert, we went and waited by the busses and we saw Dianna walk out carrying Zoe who was sleeping, and Jessica and Avery got on the bus with their babysitter person, who was carrying about 5 large pizzas. Zac got on the bus pretty quickly, and we were waiting for ike and tay, but security made us all clear out. It was such an amazing night! If you havent seen them on the TTA tour yet..i HIGHLY recommend you do..there is nothing like it.
I arrived at the Orpheum and there was a small crowd gathering. I decided to wait there until the bus arrived. About twenty minutes after I got there, the bus pulled up and everyone started cheering and grabbing their cameras. I immediately ran to the other side-good thing! Nobody was over there! Woo hoo! So, first, Avery comes out, all shy and naive, and hurries into the venue. Then, Ashley Greyson and Mac came strutting out. Mac is quite handsome, looking a lot like Walker, with thick brown hair and brown eyes. Ashley looks like Carson Daly! Then Zac came out! Screams echoed everywhere. He waved and was smiling ear to ear like he was in love! I might add, that he smiled throughout the whole concert! What a sweetie! Then we waited, and then, Jessie came out. She is a mini version of Diana, all grown up now with that long blond hair. Then, Zoe comes toddling out. Trust me, she is like Shirley Temple, quite adorable and such a cut up. She waves to everyone and blows kisses. Diana and Ashley followed. Both looked great. For those of you who have never met Ashley, she is so sweet. You will definitely want to get a quick conversation in with her-she's great! We than waited a while, and Ike came out! He was smiling, but in a more serious way. He looked great! After a long time, Taylor came out. He wears this impish grin much of the time, and he took his time, high fiving people and waving and reaching out and everything! Trust me, television does no justice to Hanson! In real life, they are so phenomenally normal looking and nicer than you could possibly imagine! I reached out and grabbed Tay's hand-it was very soft like porcelain. I felt like a piece of Heaven went through me! Whoa! Then, I ran over to the bus when Walker came out. He is sooooooooo friendly! He seems like a soccer dad, not a show business father. I said hi to him between the busses, and he was so sweet. He has this really serious look on his face all the time. But it's a thoughtful seriousness. Everyone in that family was just so normal! Not the show business type at all. I thought if they were to go to a Hollywood party, they just would not fit in at all. I got to hear most of the sound check through the door. Hanson was playing something they wrote which sounded so much like a Billy Joel song-lots of hard rocking piano in the key of C. I was playing air keyboard and loving it so much. They also play this jam I affectionately call R and B jam in G, because I don't know what it's called. It's at the end of the TTMON video. Gosh they sounded awesome! The boys came out afterward to go to the chat, and again, waved and reached out to everyone! Then, later, Diana, Ashley, Jessie, Avery, Mac, and M2M were going to get something to eat. I wanted desperately to talk to Diana again but I figured I should leave them alone for about an hour so they could have dinner. I didn't think of them as a show business family really. They seem like your next door neighbors-so down to earth and friendly! Welp, obviously, the concert kicked major butt. Taylor kept on kicking the beach balls into the crowd, and at one point had to clear the area of stuffed animals. Zac smiled the whol time, there was not one moment when he didn't smile! He just loved being there. Taylor really works the crowd well. Ike seemed kind of reserved a bit, but hey, we all have our moments. I noticed Zac had a problem with his drum and the technician was adjusting something, and Zac was playing along and talking to the guy as he played-that is incredible! Could YOU do that? And, member how Rosie made fun of Zac, saying he just plays and then comes in with an "Oooooooh" well, that's what he does. He just plays like he's in his own incredible little world, staring off into space or whatever, and then always nails his note when it's time to sing! All in all, the show totally rocked! Maura
Hey, I went to the Boston show last night and IT KICKED BUTT! I got there two hours before it started because I was hoping to catch a glance of Hanson but I learned from the fans that were already there that Hanson already went in. There were two big tour buses there, One red and One blue, The red one was Hanson's bus and the blue one was M2M's bus. On the red bus was a sign that said "Please do not hit the bus", becase Hanson's little brother's and sisters were on it at some points. While I was standing in the croud of people chanting "HANSON, HANSON, HANSON, HANSON", M2M walked through the croud as if they weren't famous and people didn't even notice them and the ones who did notice them were just like, "Oh look its M2M" But they went in the building with no problem from the fans. Then at 7:30 they let us in and the fans were really nice to M2M they had a lot of applauses and the croud wasn't out of control, it was a nice concert, Hanson and M2M did a good job. Then when the show was over all the fans went outside the building to wait for them. The buses were still there so they knew Hanson was still there, So a lot of them left and went home and a few were still there. Diana walked out of the building carrying 4 boxes of Dominos pizza to the bus and behind her was Jessica carrying Zoe, Zoe was sleeping on her shoulder, SHE WAS SO CUTE. Someone had already taken Mackie out to the bus and he was sitting in the drivers seat and all these fans started taking all these pics of him and all the flashes went off and Mackie started crying, so please, for anybody that it going to go to the shows ahead, respect Hanson's family and dont take pics of them, especially the little kids, because the flashes hurt their eyes. Anyway, I still waited around because I wanted to see someone from Hanson. And all of a sudden Zac came walking out really fast with 3 gaurds around him, he walked out so "non shalont" that I was the only person that noticed it was him when he first came out, I picked up my camera to take a pic of him but then I thought, "No wait I want to at least touch him and if I take this pic he will already be at the bus (because he was walking fast)" So I dropped my camera and went over and touched his left arm, his muscle!! LOL I know I'm pathetic but I was siked to at least touch 1 of the 3 most talented people on the face of this planet. His arm was cold but it was wicked soft, I bet he uses vaseline intensive care. After I noticed him and touched him, people started to notice who he was and started chasing him and going nuts, I'm surprised he got on the bus alive, and my mom kept saying, "I cant believe they just brought him out like that, the poor kid, thats an easy way to kill him". Well his whole family was on their red bus and M2M were on their blue bus and the roadies were all packing up the white trucks with their stuff, but Tay and Ike were still in there. The security gaurds and the police cleared everyone out and made us leave so I didn't get to see Tay and Ike :-( But thats ok :-) I got to touch and see Zac UP CLOSE!! The show was a blast and for anyone who went I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did. And they had a lot of cool Hanson stuff that they were selling, really neat stuff, I spent 100 bucks worth of Hanson merchandise, check out the stands when you go, and you should buy the stuff before or during the show because at the end of the show, they sell out and people leave crying. HAVE FUN!!!! Jessica
I just saw Hanson last night in Boston, and they completely rocked!!! hanson.net was there w/ video cameras and they recorded me and my friend!! i think it was for the tour video they always release, kinda like tulsa tokeo and the middle of nowhere. and m2m did not get booed, and that is surprising cause they really sucked!! i'm sorry, but all you people who said they're talented, ummm, not really, they were horrible. but nayways, hanson opened with you never know and also did: if only, this time around, runaway run, can't stop, wish that i was there, love song, sure about it, and inthe city from TTA. and they also did, thiking of you, mmmbop, speechless, where's the love, look at you, lucy, and man from milwaukie. every song rocked. it was so funny when tay kicked a beach ball and it hit this girl in the head and then he goes, "take that! no, i'm just kidding". i was cracking up! also, after they took a break to get water and stuff, zac came back and goes, "wazzzzup??!? boston!!!!" it was cool. hanson covered the beatles "money", rolling stones "can't always get what you want" which totally rocked!! i was on the little balcony off to the side on the second box which was a really awesome seat, and tay climbed up to the balcony and touched everyone's hand, he was hanging off the balcony and it was so cool. he was so crazy!! i know you'll all be glad to hear that nothing bad happened, like, no one jumped on stage or anything. everyone got very excited when hanson did "in the city" as their "last song". but they came back and did 2 other songs and an acapella version of this time around, it sounded so good, i did not want hanson to leave, but of course everything has to have an end. also, souvineir lines and impossible to get through, so if you guys want any tips on how to get souvineirs w/ out a line, e-mail me at middleofnowher47@aol.com also, i took tons of good pics which will be posted on a website, i will put the address in the latest news. see ya people, hanson lives forver!!!!
I just wanted to say that I went to the Boston show and it was soo amazing!! I got there about 4 hours before they even let us into the theatre so I saw the guys and shook Tay's hand!! Then I saw Ashley (their babysitter), Diana, Zoe, Jessie, Avie, and Mackie just walking around!! Mackie didn't look like what I thought he would!! He's such a little pudge ball!!! Zoe is the most adorable little thing!! She was sitting in the driver's seat of their tourbus and talking to us. I put my hand up to the window and she was hitting it!! She was yelling at us to do something but I wasn't sure what. She was also making faces on the glass and licking the glass and blowing kisses!! She's such a little ham!! The we stood around for what seemed like FOREVER to get into the theatre (which was kinda yucky, to tell you the truth!) I talked to the lighting guy who told us to call him Yoda (lol) and he was really nice!! I asked him about the waterfights between busses and he was like, "Oh yeah! If we're bored we do!" and I was like, "Do you ever wanna just kick their butts?" and he said, "Well, they run really fast!" HAHAHA! The show was really good but they didn't go some of the songs that I thought they were going to do, like "A Song To Sing", "Save Me", and "I Want You To Want Me". The covers they did were of "Money", "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and "Sunshine Of Your Love". It went by WAY too fast and before I knew it, the show was over!!! :-{ I heard a rumor about another show in the New England area but I don't want to start anything so I'll just wait and see.. I just hope it's not 2 years until I can see them again!! <3 Jen
The Boston concert rocked so much! Taylor tried to get into the side boxes but the girls weren't strong enough to pull him up. Taylor and Isaac took off their shirts and I lost my hearing for awhile cause of the screams. Zac was awesome on the drums. He did his "WUZUP!" thing too. Ashley came out after M2M left and videotaped us, I pulled out my MOE card and waved it at him and he zoomed in on me. Ashley and 2 other guy watched to show and they were sitting near me. The only bad thing was all the screaming during the songs, I couldnt hear Zac sing Lucy at all. {Elyse mmmbop@hotmail.com}
The Boston concert was sooooooooo amazing. i got to the venue around 4:00 and some girls told me that they were just here and i missed them but they would come back. i was so mad i can't beleave i just missed them. well anyways i meet my uncle there and his friend worked at a restruant down there and they ate there earlyer his said that tay and ike were wearing hats and he said that they would come through the allway so we whent down their and waited like 3 hours and hanson came walking down the street i started freaking out i was crying and couldn't stop shaking. zac shook my dads hand. after that we whent into the venue and went to uor seats they were so good they were like 11 row. m2m came on and played like i don't know maybe 5 songs i really don't know. finally they left and hanson came on everyone was screaming so loud. they played for about 2 and a half hours they so much energy. durin the last 3 songs i went down into the aisle the bodguard kept telling me to move back but i didn't and when they were leaving and shaking everyone hand i ran up to the stage and Taylor grabed my hand i was soo happy cause these kind of thing don't happen to me. the concert was soo amazing. everyone should go. hear are the songs they played(not in order) thing of you mmmbop speechless where's the love look ant you lucy man from milwaukee money this time around runaway run can"t stop love song wish that i was there sure about it you never know hand in hand if only in the city i don't know smile sunshine of your love can't always get what you want
I was at the FM Kirby Center last night in Wilkes- barre. I had 2nd row seats on taylors side, and i have to say they blew the roof off the place. I was a little upset at first because first off the security guards wouldnt let us take pictures or go anywhere near the stage. They rathered us stay in our seats. But I have to say it was even better than when i saw them saturday night in Upper Darby at the Tower Theater. They played the usual set, Jimi Hendrix's "Crosstown Traffic", Janis Joplins "Piece of my Heart", Rolling Stones "You Cant Always Get What You Want" and the usual songs from MON and TTA. If you havent seen hanson live yet, you better!!!!! you're missin out on the biggest thing of 2000. Icy Angel ~ 14 ~ PA
Hanson "This Time Around Tour" 2000 Review Tower Theatre, Upper Darby, PA September 16,2000 @7:30 p.m. We arrived at 69th Street in Upper Darby and we turned down 69th and I looked down Ludlow and theirs the tour buses, their were 2 blue and maroon and 2 red tractor trailers, I freaked out. They had Alabama plates on the buses and Oklahoma on the tractor trailers. We parked a block down in a parking garage and we went down to were the buses were. I touched their buses, I was so excited I I couldnt' believe it, I was literally shaking. Then we went in front of their buses and I turn around and I see this guy who looked like their dad and these girls said Mr. Hanson and yada yada and they were trying to get backstage and he walked right by me. I couldn't beilve it, their dad was right in front of me le 3 feet. Then my mom went to look at the other bus to see if anyone was in there, and these 3 girls run into the bus and I'm like what are they doing, and I saw them get in and it turned out to be their sisters Jessica and Avery, and some other girl, I'm not sure it was a cousin or a friend. It was cool. Then we went on the other side of the road because we were hoping to see if Hanson would come out of either of the buses ( but it turns out they weren't), and we were waiting and I was right at the barricade and I see their sisters again walking on the side of the bus were no one was because on the other side it was barricaded with girls waiting hoping to see Hanson. Then I hear someone say over theres their mom, and they were trying to show someone, so I look over and try to see their mom and their she was on the other side right at the entrance were you get backstage and she was talking to someone, she is really short and has long frizzy blondish brown hair. So we waiting some more and they let the people who had passes go back and were they were backstage their was this building and a gap and the tower and in the gap in the back their was were you met them, you really could'nt see them from the street, but I managed to see Tay's and Ike's head.( It pays to be really tall). So that was cool, so fianlly we go back to the entrance and we got in and we found our seats which were 3rd row loge, they were good seats. So I try to get to the floor, it worked, but the guards had to check tickets, but we found this dark like hall that took you right into the floor level. So I go back and I sit though the opening act which was M2M, and I try to get to the floor, but I ended up going back because the security was tight. So I after they ended I went back down and waited in the lobby were you go into where the seats are, and I see the lights go off and screams, so I toke the one way I was talking about, I ran in. And I couldn't find the one opening to walk so I ended up walking though a row, and I get to the side where the orchestrea ends and I was at the 4th row on the side, I was so jumpy I'm like OMG theirs Taylor walking down, he looked so hot. So anyway I got to the 4th and this girl put her sign up which blocked Taylors head, so that made me mad, and so I run as fast as I can to my seat, and I end up staying their the rest of the night. They did some songs off the MON, and some oldies, and they did 2 songs they wrote that weren't on the album called "Smile" and I Don't Know", some off TTA. Taylor kept telling us to put our hands up and move them side to side, then after I think the 3rd song, he's like you guys in the balcony, or something like that, I really could'nt hear him, but all the lights were on us, and Tay was looking up at us, I'm like, oh my he could be looking at me. But all night long Taylor had us on our feet and jumping. Then they left for a minute and Tay comes out with a gray tank on and I was hoping he would, and then he was walking back to his keyboard and he almost tripped over himself. Around the middle of the show, I would say was when Tay got really hyper, he was standing in the middle of the stage jumping up and down and telling us to do that to, it was cute how he was jumping. Then for the song they did "You Can't Always Get What you want" he held the mike out for us to sing and these girls were grabbing at it. He was making us do all these swaying movements with our arms really fast, and for the one song him and Ike were jumping up and down it was really cute. He went back to the keyboard and was jumping, him and Ike. Then they were introducing their back-up band and tay was acting like he was bowing to them and everyone started doing that, it was funny. While they were doing that he was walking over the place on the stage. In the begainign I forget to add this guy walks out and shakes Tays hand and he got escoted off the stage. And for Runaway Run ( it was in the begaining) the part your warm embrace Tay was acting like he was hugging their air and he started clapping. Then for "MMMBop" he was in the middle of the stage and hes like I want you guys to jump like this and he started jumping, him and Ike. It was sooo cute. He kept looking at us weird. The for In the City he didn't play piano at all and he was walking up and down the stage and we were all jumping and at the end of it, Ike jumped on Zac's drum platform and jump and slide on the stage, I thought he was going to rip his pants, since they were gray leather. Then they went off again and came on and tay got on drums and zac was just walking up and down the stage, and let me tell you Tay can play drums good. Then at the end of the song, Zac goes on top of the bass drum ( the drum with the logo on it) and jumps off it almost landing on his face, then they go off and we all chant HANSON!!! and they come on and do this i love you song I dont know the name and they do TTA accepla and they bow and thats basically the show, it was really awesome and let me tell you you get a cramp in your leg from all the jumping they make you do and they make you clap becasue these girls in the front were reaching out their hands and tay shakes his head and starts clapping, and this girl did climb on the steps when tay was on drums and reached out to Zac who tried to pull away from her, and then a bunch of girls were on the steps, but no one got up. So its safe to say their was no rude inccidents that night, thankfully. But it was awesome, they ROCKED PHILLY!!!!!

OMG i went to the Philly sept.16th concert last Saturday and i had a blast
even though i feel off my chair like 3 times and i have bruises all over my

shaking uncontrolbly (yes im a dork...lol) my cuz thought i was having a
seizure!! LOL!! i screamed "i love you zac!!" like every 10 minutes!! lol!! i
danced with my little glow purple stick. when the concert started after M2M
played "mirror mirror", "dont say you love me", "everything you do" and "dont
mess with my love" about a half hour later exactly when hanson came on i was
so excited and the seats were like movie seats were they closed when you got
up and i backed my foot up and my leg fell right through i was like "OMG!
OMG! OMG!" i was like ready to cry!! LOL!!and it was stuck i had to take off
my shoe! LOL!! damn seat made me miss hanson come out.LOL...well after about
2 hours of jumping around on the chair rocking to hanson they did the this
time around accapella and went off and my mom and sis the lucky son of a guns
went outside and saw hanson get into the tour bus!! I WAS SO MAD!! LOL!!! but
i have been happy every since!! LOL!! hanson has always been my fav band even
though people told me they were gay, fags, or just plain stupid i stood up
for them because they have changed my life SO MUCH. and i thank them for that
and thats exactly what i would tell them if ever meet them. hehehe.

I went to the Wilkes-Barre concert last night at the Kirby Center in
PA. The place was very tiny, and very strict. But the concert rocked. Their tour bus was
supposedly right next to the theatre and people waited out there for the whole night, with
still no sight of them. They were in the building of course.M2M was on the stage when we
arrived, and what we thought were bad seats turned out to be like 10th row. The security guards were all old
people, and were very strict about being in your own seat. Hanson finally came on stage starting with "Look At
You". The concert went on and Taylor mentioned their playing with Bon Weir the night
before, and played a song by The Band .They also played covers like "Piece of My Heart" and a Rolling Stones song. The last song they played was "I Want You To Want
Me" ,sung by Zac, walking around and shaking hands, while Taylor played the
drums. During that song the security walked out of the room, and we all ran up to the
stage, I was only 3 feet away from all of them, but they wouldn't come over towards that direction to shake hands. I could feel myself stepping on
people, and i fell on some man's lap who was in a wheelchair. I felt so bad. Then Hanson left the stage. We waited outside by their
supposed "tour bus"
I just wanted to tell you that i have a concert review for the poughkeepsie show posted here ^.^ just figured someone might be interested in seeing it - and pictures from the show will be up soon! *toona
Hey fellow hanson fans haha.......umm i just got back from my hotel that i stayed at last night. The hanson concert was near philly at the tower theature....It rocked!!! WE had really good seats...ill be getting pics soon. They played at least 23 songs...Zac had a blue and red shirt on with the number 11 on it...and green pants..Tay had jeans and a blue beater...hot! and ike had a long sleeves kinda like a dress shirt and i forget the pants! This one girl just jumped on stage and shook tays hand! It was awesome cuz they said they had 2 go but they came back out and did "i want u to want me" and tay played the drums and zac ran around the stage the whole time. All in all the concert was one of my best experiences ever~...if u want to email me my addy is drummerchic5@hotmail.com
I went to the Philly Hanson Concert at the Tower Theater last night. It totally rocked. Although the venue was really small and buying souvenirs was nearly impossible, Hanson was definitely worth the 2 year wait. They played many songs, including Mmmbop, Runaway Run, Save Me, Speechless, Song to Sing, and a finale of I Want You To Want Me. Taylor had the crowd going telling them what to do (I.e: swinging their arms, giant claps, etc.) while Zac and Ike jammed on their instruments. There was one fan that got up on the stage. But she just ran over, shook Tay's hand and then was escorted off. It was cute, but unnecessary. We also met some girls from New Zealand and Philadelphia. They had followed Hanson from Washington, D.C to their hotel in Philadelphia. Also, after the concert, we ran out to wave Hanson good-bye. They stood in the front of the bus and wished it right back. About a block down the street, they honked. And just to rile up the crowd, drove by about a block down and honked agian. It was mad crazy, but also a totally awesome experience that I will never forget.-Audrey Walker, Abington P.A
Hey! I just wanted to tell everyone the concert last night at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC was amazing. I had a lot of fun and they totally ROCKED! I just wanted to tell you that M2M did a 30min set and surprisingly, they didn't get much booing. I had 5th row and we could see Tay, Zac and some blonde girl watching M2M on stage and a bunch of girls saw them and were screaming and taking pictures. Basically, they were totally ignoring M2M on stage and it was funny because M2M noticed and were laughing. Also, when Marion was like, "This is the last song we'll playing for you guys tonight. . ."everyone cheered, screamed and clapped and M2M felt really stupid. LoL. . .it was funny. There are a lot of cool things that happened at the show, but I just thought I'd tell you the M2M stuff. Adriana
The night before the concert, September 12, we're cruising around York and we find the back up bands hotel) the bus's were sitting there right in outside the side of the hotel), Hanson was still in new york. TWe walked into the hotel to get directions home and all the backup guys and production and crew were in the bar. We were leaving and this guy walks by and goes "Hello Ladies" and we said hey back and then we go out of the hotel and round the corners to the buses, my friend was like "that was weird...some random guy saying hello" well, as we're nearing the buses, that same guy comes out the back door and gets into one of them. haha, he comes out with some magazine (he was so watching us. lol) and my friend goes "hi again" and he goes "hey guys" and i go "Those your buses?" and he goes "uhm, nah, i just drive one...you looking for someone special?" i go "nope, not hanson, the backup band" CONCERT DAY Before the guys got there(we knew cause their bus wasn't there yet) Scott Hogan came out and was signing autographs. I asked him how he had liked playing with Jonny Lang on Monday in NYC and he said it was so awesome and that Jonny was a really nice guy. We asked him about the 'attacks' to Taylor and the incident in Miami and he laughed. We were saying how their we so many rumors and this one girl goes 'yeah I heard it was a drag queen' and he was like. "Well the funny thing is that it was' He also kept trying to reiterate that Taylor wasn't that freaked out by it cause all the girls were like 'Ohhhhh I hope he's okay' blah blah blah. I love his little goatee. It's braided. We also got to chat with Matt later who came over to us. He had these really cool pair of shoes. I think they were docs. They were so neat. I should have asked where he got them. Oh and another thing. There was a girl there with her friend from Germany and they asked about touring in other countries for the tour and Scott said most of that will be done in November they're gonna hit Japan, Germany, England and then he named a few other places that I didn't hear. We waited outside to see them come in the bus. All these teenies started screaming and singing when they pulled up. Their brother was in the front of the bus looking out, and when he saw cameras appear covered his face. Ashley Greyson and Jessica got off first and she went and hid between the other two busses behind the drivers. Ike came out first sort of looked at everyone and continued with Ashley(girl) backstage. Then Zac came out sort of looked at the crowd with a half smile and followed Ike. He stopped one of the guys from the crew and did this little handshake and was gone. They couldn't find a place to put the bus so they backed it up even with the others so when the door opened u couldn't see them go in and out. Everyone was still waiting for Taylor to come out. All the other kids and Mrs. Hanson came out. Their one sister was riding around on one of those popular little scooters and Ashley had Zoe. Some of the girls in the crowd (annoying girls) kept calling Zoe over and she was looking at everyone. She kept yelling 'we need food!!!" Someone asked her how old she was and she goes "I am two and a half" then she started running around Ashley singing ring around the rosie. There was a little guard house that she wanted to go into but Ashley wouldn't let her cause it was just outside the backstage area so she started to scream. We asked Ashley if she knew about meet and greets but she said she thought they'd been given out but wasn't sure. She talked to my little brother about the show. He had called out her name and she turned around and went "Who said that?" and my sister pointed to my younger brother and she walked over to him and goes "Hey how old are you?" and he goes "11" and she goes "That's cool. Are you here for the show?" and my bro was "like of course" Their sister was standing near us and kept staring at my brother. As she was talking to us these teenies kept screaming 'Are you their girlfriend?" But she just ignored them. She was really nice to us. A lot nicer than I had expect. Their brother ran back and worth as well but kept hiding. Ike, Tay and Zac all walked back and forth numerous times. And waved. Slighly. It was kind of weird. Normally their friendly and will wave and smile, but really all they did today was give a short wave and turn the other way. Taylor finally showed up and this girl wanted to give him something and he was like "I'm sorry I really can't come over right now" and she gave him one of those "please......" looks and he steps out from behind the bus, halfway between the bus and barrier and goes "toss me the stuff" then like 5 people threw stuff at him. And he goes "Don't throw stuff at me!" He picks everything up and goes "sorry guys, I'll be back" and walks away. A few minutes later Ashley gets on the bus holding the gifts. Zac came back one time and was getting on the bus(for the millionth time, he kept going on and off but wouldn't say hello to anyone) and( sam and I at the time had started to go slap happy. we'd been out in the sun since 12 and it now was 7) Sam and I in a joking way go "Zac come here now!" but he was already getting on the bus, but he stops on the stairs and pokes his head between the space betwen the bus and the door, throws on one of his grins and goes "NO!" and laughs as he waves to everyone. So we wait a little while longer. Over the next chunk of time Ike, Walker and Taylor are all staying their on cells phones. Then they walked behind the bus and had a little group meeting. For the next half hour or so Tay stood infront of the bus and would just talk on the phone. He would walk in circle kicking rocks and everytime someone could see him they'd scream. People kept calling out to him and he'd come around the front of the bus and kept pulling his finger to his lips and said shhhh I"ll come back." And he kept walking on and off the bus chatting away on the phone. Taylor was still talking on the phone but sent Ike over to the few fans who were still left by the backstage area(it was not 7:45, the show had started at 7 with two opening acts). Ike came over by us signed an autograph for our friend Jess(we already have autographs and let the other people get them) Ike was really quiet and after minute or two a tour guy came out whispered in his ear then said 'come on lets go' and Ike just turned and walked away without a goodbye. But he kept looking back at everyone. Tay never did come back out. I guess he was running late cause Ike came to get him, Walker and Diana as well. Taylor came around and goes "sorry guys I'm late." And went away. He was wearing a greenish shirt with a black heart and the heart said 'Joan Jett' *the concert! The music that they did play was awesome. I didn't see NA play.(UGH! Their fans were annoying. They were by the backstage area as well to see NA and kept making fun of Hanson. They were like 'Hanson sucks!" and when Taylor was standing their on the phone they were making fun of him and he turned around and shot them a look and got on the bus) We were behind the backstage area. And then half way into Neve's we left and went around to the bathrooms(shortly after my bro and I leave Ike comes out. Oh well I had promised my bro, who had stood with us all day I would) Neve wrapped up their performance with "We Don't Need No Education" that was really cool. Everyone stood on their chairs. We orginally had 5th row but the people in the front pushed back the chairs and virtually created their own pit. Hanson! They all came on and started with "Thinking of You" then 'You Never Know' After that I don't remember the order. But these were the ones they played: wheres the love runaway run save me look at you minute without you if only, tta mmmbop wish that i was there cross town traffic in the city (tay dropped his mic during this one) accoustic set-- song to sing magic carpet ride Between every song they would stop and talk about what to play next. The one time Zac moved his mike out of the way and was trying to say something to Taylor but Tay wasn't getting it so finally Zac rolled his eyes montioned him over. At the end of one of the songs Taylor did one of this moves where he sort of does a spin coming off the last cord well when he did that he tripped and almost fell on his ass. It was funny. Zac and Jason Taylor were back their making fun of him and then Jason pretend to fall off the platform that he was on like Tay had did. Taylor seemed a little off. Taylor went and picked up a stuff bear and raised it over his head. Someone in the first row kept shooting silly string at him and water. He just kept laughing at them. But I found it funny that he didn't spray anyone with water(only once). They didn't really talk much. Just the usual 'do you have the album, you guys rock, it's awesome.' Hanson concert talk. They started 'Dying to be alive' then stopped. He looked down and ran his fingers threw his hair and sighed heavily. He looked over to Ike who nodded and started again. Zac was having trouble with his base drum at the bigging of the show it kept rolling off cause of a wire. He tried to fix it himself but he couldn't. When they played "Crosstown Traffic" at the beginning Ike had no idea what was going on. Zac was looking at him and Ike just kept shaking his head. So Ike went over and talked to Taylor. Then went back over to his mike. Zac looked at him and pretended to hit the drums to the beat of the song. Ike still didn't get it. So Zac tried again and Ike finally understood. During 'In The City' Which rocked. Taylor lost his microphone. During the parts where he runs around and it's just the music. He was all the way across the stage and he had left it at the other side and forgot about it. He went to sing and realized he didn't have it. He started looking around the stage and couldn't find it. So turned to Ike, lifted up his shoulders and shrugged. Finally he found it, grabbed it and began to sing again. Zac took his head out and was headbanging. Now this next part I don't know if I can get across how funny it looked(it could have been bad but wasn't so we can all laugh now) Isaac was trying to be all cool during 'In The City' I believe and he was running back and forth. Well he slipped on a shirt someone had thrown up and started to fall off the stage. It was one of those falls where you continue foward as you try to save yourself from falling on your head. I know it's hard to explain and it would have sucked if he had fallen off but at that point in the show I just couldn't stop laughing. It looked so funny. They went to do they acoustic and as most of you have heard, came back out and said that 'we're gonna have to cut it short',. Ike and Zac didn't have anything to sit on so they went and sat on Zac's drum playform. Isaac hardly looked up and had his head down. The one of the stage guys came out with a drum stool and Zac went behind his set and got his. Then they played 'Song to Sing'. After it was over Zac went behind the drums and Tay annouced it was the last song. *gasp* shocked. I must say I was disspointed when he said that. When they finished Zac went across the stage and gathered stuff up. He took flowers from someone and acted like a beauty pagent winner. He also picked up a stuff hush puppy dog and did a voice like the dog in The Jetsons. Ike there out some pics and something else(a guitar string maybe) and Zac gave away his sticks. They finished up, came to the front of the stage, did TTA a cappella, bowed and were gone. Taylor kept saying "sorry guys, thanks for having us. Sorry, sorry again. bye". The must have had the bus juiced up and ready to go cause by the time we got back their they were gone and it takes only a minute of two to get back their. 'If Only' and 'In The City' are awesome live. And I loved the fact they played 'Look at you' and the verse I like. Hehe sometimes they cut it out(they did the tour video) All the songs that they played were good and of course like everyone else I wish it could have lasted longer. It made me worried that they ended so early cause I was wonderin what was wrong with them. Everyone was sort of left hangin. Almost everyone sat there with the lights off after the guys had left the stage confused that it was over. Everyone knows the show was cut short. And yes it stinks. But what's done is done. And for whatever reason it happened. I am not bitter, sad yes. But because the show had to be shorten but maybe something happened that they had no control over. So let's just drop the issue of it. And stop arguing whether people deserve an aplogy or not. As someone who was their, of course I'd like to know what happened. Why my(of course this could have been any other show) concert had to be shorten? But we're not in control. We don't know what goes on. And everyone can bitch and moan about it all they want. But the fact is what happened, happened. So deal with it. Things don't get better by complaining. I don't let the fact that it was a shorten concert hiden from the great show they did put on. *clothes(for those who care) backstage: Ike-jeans, greyish gap-type tight shirt, black shoes Tay- jeans, green shirt w/ black hear in the middle with the words 'Joan 'Jett' and atlethic shoes. New Balance or Kelmes. Zac- jeans, black shirt(couldn't read what it said) and puma sneakers onstage Ike- jeans, green long-sleeved shirt with a white beater underneath(which he later took off) Tay- black leather pants, a black Fleetwood Mac shirt, He also had a beater underneath but didn't take his shirt off Zac- don't remember Zac's pants, but he had on a green shirt that said France on the bottom and airport in french on the top along with something else. THE END
Hey, I went to the Hammerstein concert it was great. I waited there since
about 5 in the morning. I went to the hotel during the day and i met them
and got pictures with them after their cbs this morning show. These will be
posted along with my concert pix next week email me if u want for them. I
got in and I was first row on Ike's side. Most of my pix are of taylor when
he came by us. It was the greatest concert ever. I thought it was like 100x
better then albertane since it was so much more energetic. During In the
City one of my favorite songs, Taylor came infront of me pionted at me and
sang a linefrom the song, I almost fainted from that ha!. They played every
song great and Johnny Lang played an excellent performance. I never knew how
good he was until then. Taylor came down about 3x for people to shake his
hand, and Zac came down once or twice. He also handed out his drumstick to
my friend. Zac also pointed at us whiel talking to the backup keyboard guy,
i have no clue
why. but hten i wrote my email addy. and pointed at it and
lipped to him what it was. So when he waws playing the last song, he came
down to the audicne took the piece of paper and placed it in his pocket,
That show was amazing, the songs rocked. My favorite performances were In
The City, wheres the Love and just about every other song lol. Neve also did
a great job!!
I just wanted to let everyone know that M2M was at Hanson's concert at the Hammerstein the other night. I had to get pulled out of the crowd toward the end of the show cause i didn't feel to well (probably cause i was being elbowed in the stomach), and after they pulled me out i had to walk around the side of the floor area. When i got to the side i saw these two girls standing there. I said hi to them and they said hi back. Then after i walked by them i realized it was M2M. They were standing on the side of the floor which is where all the people with passes around their necks were standing. M2M sang along with all the songs and jumped and clapped like everyone else there. I guess they are real fans too...they'd just better stay away from Taylor ;)
I went to the New York concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Monday night. Here is my review...... I arrived to the concert a bit late, at 6:50 to be exact. When my friend Alyssa and I got there, we had to wait on a line all the way around the block and when we got into the theater, NEVE, Hanson's opening band were already halfway through their performance. I was a little mad, but I dealt with it. Alyssa and I went up to our seats which were bad, but all right. The people that worked there didn't care where we sat, so we got better seats than our tickets said. At 8:15, Hanson started performing. Hanson had to tell the fans to move away from the stage a few times. Their opening song was "Look At You." That place was rocking! The music and the screams were so loud that I couldn't hear myself think. Here is a list of the songs played in no particular order: You Never Know If Only This Time Around Runaway Run Save Me Dying to Be Alive Can't Stop Wish That I Was There *Love Song *Sure About It Hand In Hand In the City *Song to Sing Thinking of You MMMBop Speechless Where's the Love Look At You *Lucy Minute Without You Man From Milwaukee River 2 Songs that I don't know Johnny B. Goode I Want You to Want Me *-acoustic Here are some highlights: Someone threw a beach ball at Taylor's head. Zac kept having trouble with his earplugs and was playing the drums with one hand. Taylor and Isaac "stripped" down to tank tops. During Love Song, Zac ran over to the drums for the third verse of the song. During Song to Sing, they played the third verse. Jonny Lang played a few songs. Taylor was about to throw a water bottle into the audience and then decided not to. They sang "This Time Around" acapella at the very end of the concert. Zac jumped off the stage to give away his drumsticks, and when he got back onto the stage, you could see his underwear.......lol. Zac kept talking to one of the backup players. Taylor made the audience sing happy birthday to Scott. When Taylor was introducing the backup band, him and Isaac kept hailing them. Every time Zac had a solo part (Thinking of You, Where's the Love, Wish That I Was There, Babybird part of Man From Milwaukee etc.) everyone was screaming so loud that I couldn't hear anything and I was mad. MY FAVORITE PART OF THE CONCERT: Hanson's last song was "I Want You To Want Me." On this song, Taylor took the drums and Zac was parading around the stage clapping and singing. He occasionally jumped into the audience and started running around but he always kept jumping back onto the stage. At the very end of the song, Zac stood on top of the bass drum and was waving his hands in the air and then he lost his balance and kind of fell off right onto his knees. I hope you enjoyed my review, if you went to this concert or liked my review, please E-Mail me at Lleone3@optonline.ne. Thanks. BYE!

I went to Adventure Landing on August 28th and I went to the Orlando concert
August 29th. It just so happened I got to be one of the pit crew members at
the race at Adventure Landing. I won it off the radio. I went to Adventure
Landing that day, we got there REALLY early because we thought the first 103
people there got to meet them, but it ended up it was a drawing of 103 people
and you just put your name in a box to get picked. We waited literally about
6 hours for them. I didn't have to worry about getting picked to meet them
because I was going to hang out with them while they rode go carts. I was
really nervous. I didn't get picked to be at the meet and greet and neither
did my friend Sara. I felt bad for her because this was her only chance to
meet them. The radio DJ told me to come up to the meet and greet and wait
till everyone was gone and it was just us and Hanson and we would be escorted
to the track. I went up to the meet and greet and they told me I could have a
guest, i ran back downstairs and got my best friend Sara. She was screaming
and so excited. We went upstairs and watched the meet and greet. Taylor was
so cute! We had to sit in the very back but that was ok since we were walking
with them to the go carts! After everyone left it was just me and about 4
other people and Hanson. Zac was sitting at a table and he looked over at us
and smiled and was drumming on the table. We smiled back. Soon we all got up
together and had security walk us to the race track. I felt famous because
all these girls were crushed against gates grabbing at Hanson and I was
walking with them! Girls were giving me mean looks too, I guess they thought
we were their girlfriends or something. It was really scary! So we got down
to the race track and they raced, Taylor lost so bad! I sat at the corner of
the track and cheered him on, he would go by and smile at me. After it was
over I gave Taylor his Pepsi (they gave me a Pepsi to give to him after it
was over) he said I could have it. We got our picture taken together and
their dad Walker took a picture of us! Taylor wrapped his arm around me and
pushed these other two girls that were between us away. It was really funny
but it shocked me. Zac shook my hand really hard! He has a tight grip, I told
him congratulations on winning the race and he said thanks, Isaac was really
really sweet. We had to leave and Taylor told me that he would see me
tomorrow at the concert. They gave us backstage passes and tickets to the
Orlando concert. Me and Sara were so happy and we said bye to them all and
left.
The next night I got at the Hard Rock Live at about 6:30, some people had
been waiting since morning and there was a HUGE line. I met up with the lady
from Island Records like they told me to. She gave me my backstage pass,
which was a sticker, and tickets. I had front row balcony seats. I was so
excited. Me and Sara were the first ones to go in and meet them, we went into
a room called "The Attic" and waited for them to come. They finally came in
with a bunch of security guards. Zac said "Hey I remember you, you are the
pit crew members!" I said "Yeah the meaningless ones that did nothing!" he
laughed. Isaac talked to us for a little bit and so did Taylor. We got our
picture taken together. Once again Taylor put his arm around my waist and I
smiled at him, and put my arm around him, his cheeks got red. We got our
picture taken and then we had to say goodbye. Taylor gave me a hug and told
me to enjoy the show and that he would see me around sometime. I said bye and
thanks for giving us backstage passes and everything. We left and went and
seen the concert. They did really awesome! I will never forget it and I got
lots of pictures from it!
The first picture is us at adventure landing, Tay has his arm around me! then
the other one of us inside is backstage at the concert he has his arm around
me there too!
Written by, Kayla at… GoldenEagles2003@aol.com My Hanson experience on Aug 26th In Ft. Lauderdale, Florida at the Sunrise musical Theatre. I got to the theatre at about 3:00. I went around to the side, where there were 2 doors right by the stage. I could hear their sound check from there. There was a little hole in the center of the door. I looked through it and saw Zac playing the drums. At that point I started to get excited knowing Hanson was on the other side of the doors. Anyway, I waited around till 6:00 when they started to let people in. I got in and saw some merchandise stands, and found my seats. I had section 1 row A which were right next to the stage on Tay's side. I had Front row. There were no barricades what so ever so I was pretty much touching the stage and against it. At 7:00 Neve came out and they really are an awesome band. They sung a few songs. Then about 20 mins after Neve was done, Hanson came out. Everyone was so excited. They opened with "YNK". They sang a few other songs from M.O.N. I don't know the order of them. After about the 3rd song Tay came over to his side (which was where I was sitting) and I put my hand out as far as I could and he gave me a firm handshake. I accidentally touched somewhere I shouldn't have. LOL Then he shook more hands. Then a guy, yes a guy with a red dress on jumped onstage and kissed Taylor on the cheek. It was kinda grose. Tay looked kinda mad. Anyway, they then did their acoustic set and sung a few songs. I noticed Zac was very cheerful and happy all through the show. I don't remember the song list. After their acoustic set they ran backstage so their crew could change their setting over. The lights turned off and it was all black, then these 2 girls ran onstage and ran backstage to where Hanson was but the guards I believe stopped them. So they couldn't get to them. Hanson then came back out Zac + Ike walked over onto the right side where I was and shook my hand. Tay went to the other side and then they all went to their instruments and performed more songs. It was SOO awesome. Everyone was so into it. Zac let his hair down and started to head bang. It was awesome his hair was all over his face. Then they "said" it was their last song and then they left the stage. About 2 mins later they were backstage and Zac said something like do you want us back??!! The crowd went wild and they came back out and sung "Magic Carpet ride" and "Summertime Blues". Their last song of the night was "In The City". During this song 2 girls jumped onstage. One was hugging Tay and all over him. Then Romeo got her off the stage. He also got the other girl off who tried hugging Tay but didn't. Hanson then left right after "In The City" they didn't even sing "TTA" acapella. They just left right away cause the crowd was getting out of control. To sum it all up it was AWESOME!!! IF ANYONE HAS LIVE PICS FROM THIS CONCERT OR THIS CONCERT ON TAPE, PLEASE E-MAIL ME. I will be glad to buy/trade for them.. Thanks GoldenEagles2003@aol.com
I just got back from the Arlington show in Texas. I have an amazing story.
I met Hanson! - The review is long but good. I will trade pics if you were
there...
We got to Arlington on Friday night and spent 3 long hours searching for
their hotel. When we finally found it, we went in to book a room. While my
mom was booking us, we saw some girls walk in. They were really hyper and
funny. They were telling inside jokes or something because it made no sense
to us. But then we heard one of them say something about Taylor and a hat so
we started listening. They just went on talking and stuff. Well, we started
walking to our room and looked back and one of them was like kicking a soccer
ball in the lobby getting looks from the working ladies. One of the girls
were wearing these really funny slippers with trolls on them. They were 4
characters! So, we went to the room and settled and went then went for a
walk.
We went by the bus and nothing was going on so we went to the lobby to get a
snack. When we got there, the four girls were talking to their back-up
guitarist (the one in the hats) and another guy around Tay or Ike's age. They
said something about how most of the people on the tour went to Bryan or Brad
or somebody's house. They were all cracking up about a hat one of the girls
was wearing. They had a younger girl with them who could have been Jessica's
friend. We know her name because one of the older girls (blond hair) said
"Mandy, stop!" We kept walking by and listening in. They were talking about
not seeing each other since June when, other girls came up and talked to the
guy that was Tay and Ike's age. We think they were fans so we wanted to go
talk to them too but we didnt know what to say. We left again to tell my mom
that those girls did in fact know people.
Then a little later we went to the lobby again and the girls were in the
pool. We walked to the front desk and were trying to get the guy to tell us
which room Hanson was in. He didn't know so we asked the lady and she kept
telling us to "Run Along". We went back outside to find those girls because
we figured if we stayed with them, we were going to see Hanson. They said
something about Jessica and looked up at the window where Hanson's sisters
were looking down at them with the window open, they saw us and shut it :(
Then the girls got crazy again and we kept walking by. They were acting like
they were on TV and faked getting stuck in a life-saver and some other
really funny stuff. And we listened to a story about Taylor. They made fun of
the guys for looking down... Isaac was looking out the window and looked at
them and made faces and stuff, the girls just did it back! We were freaking
out on the inside. He was wearing black and his hair was really messed up, he
looked so cute from our view. We finally gave up on walking back and forth
when we noticed them be quiet, we think they saw us. We went up to our room
and opened our window, it was facing the pool. We were looking down and the
girls saw us. They got kind of pissed and they left the pool.
We didnt want to sleep and had not seen Hanson yet so we went to where the
busses were parked and sat on the curb. There were people walking that looked
like them and there were a lot of times we started to scream over nothing. A
little while later, the guitarist came off the bus with a girl and met up
with the four girls we had seen. They talked in the parking lot and then
walked to a store across from the hotel. We didnt follow because we didnt
want them to see us. They were gone for a while and came back and GOT ON THE
BUS. All 3 busses were there now and they went back and forth between the
three. They left the lights on in the red bus and it was running almost all
night. Then one of the blue busses had the curtain closed and the other was
lit up and the curtain was open.
After they went in we saw (through the front window) some of them sitting
down and watching something. People came on and off. They looked kind of
bored at first. There didnt seem like there was much to do on the busses. One
of the girls went outside of the bus and started walking toward a door to the
hotel so we were going to go talk to her, instead she turned and went on the
red bus. We got mad because we woud do anything to get on that bus. She was
only there for a minute, came back and went on the blue bus again. Hanson had
slept in there, we wanted to sneak on it so we walked up to it and tried to
open the door but you needed a key and we didnt have a key.
We kept looking in through the front window. One girl was holding a picture
cut out and laughing then they were playing around with the soccer ball and
acting strange.
They must have had clothes on the busses because one of the girls had on her
bathing suit and came out with clothes. I thought that was strange too. Well,
we didnt take a pic that time but we did later. At one point, they all piled
into the front of the bus and were watching TV or something and they were all
laughing. Well, then after a while, the guy who was Tay or Ike's age came and
whipped the curtain shut, I guess they saw us peeping.
Not too much later some crew member went on the bus and opened the curtain,
when the bus door opened we heard live hanson stuff so we think they were
watching a home video. The lights kept changing, they went out, then the crew
guy left the bus with a girl. We wanted to talk to him but he looked really
mean. He had really long black hair and he was weird looking. To see more, we
pulled our car up close to the bus and sat on the front. We could see pretty
far back. One of the girls got in a bunk and thats another thing we found
weird. Everyone was helping themselves to drinks and things. We were wishing
we were on that bus.
One girl came off the bus holding a bottle and I asked her what they were
doing. She said "Nothing". We asked he what they were watching and she
laughed at us. She was kind of rude. Then we asked her what the cut out
picture was (because it was a weird shape) and she said it was a picture of
Zac. Keri started to freak out and we asked to have it. She said it wasnt
hers and belonged to the guys. The girl got back on the bus.
Then they all got off the bus and opened the luggage thing on the side. The
guys got bathing suits out and then the four girls and the guitarist went to
the pool. Not too much later they came back, then everyone went into the
hotel. A few minutes later we heard a guitar. It was ONE in the morning and
people were getting mad and to get back at them for living our dream, we
complained to the front desk. While Mr. Hanson called the front desk and
apolagized for the noise and about 2 minutes later the music stopped.
We went to search for the Hanson's room. We walked all over the hotel. When
we got to the 4th floor we heard a baby crying and then Mr. Hanson came out
of the room. He walked down the hall and we couldn't see him. He was on the
phone. When he saw us we walked to the stairs and went back by the tour
busses.
The girls and guys must have gone back out to the bus because we went back
out there and we saw them in there moving around. Then, one of the four girls
and the guy Ike and Tay's age got off the bus and went to the red one. They
were in there for a little while and came back out and got on another one.
They were all watching something again and the guy Hanson's age was dancing
around and everyone was laughing. Then it was so loud we heard it outside,
They were watching Hanson live home videos I guess because we heard MMMBop
and we saw everyone singing along.
We saw two of the girls go to the drivers seat and they hung their passes on
the edge of a chair. It was the two girls with brown hair. They were so close
to the window that we jumped down from the car and ran to the side so they
didnt see us.
It got to be early in the morning and we had not see all of them in a while,
they went to the back and didnt come out for a while, occasionally one or two
would walk out. There were a few girls still up front and they finally went
to the back too. Somehow the bus started moving so we thought the girls were
going with them. Then it stopped and a guy got out. He started to wash it. We
asked him if we could go on the bus and he said "No" and he said that nobody
was on there. I guess he didnt know we KNEW people were on there.
A little while later, everyone came out of the bus. We dont remember seeing a
few of these girls get on so we didnt know if they were on it or had just
walked up. They were all acting goofy and then one of the girls screamed
"Misty" and so that is the blond girls name. The 2 brown haired girls are
still nameless. Well, then we saw the guy Tay and Ike's age and the shorter
brown haired on walk up to these fans on the curb. They talked to them and
not us! How unfair was that!? Well, then we walked to the closer side and sat
on a curb there.
They had been standing for a while and then the same girl we saw go on the
red bus alone earlier went to the bus alone again. We figured it was time to
talk to her. We saw her get on and she came out with some bottled
water.....We said "Hi" and she said "Hi" back and smiled. Then she started
walking back but she stopped because we asked "Is that Tour bus water?" we
know that was a dumb question but we didnt want her to leave. She looked
confused and asked... "What?" and we asked if she bought it. She simpily
replied "I got it from the fridge" We started freaking out and asked her for
it. She just looked at us weird and finally after begging her, she handed it
to my friend. WE HAVE TOUR BUS WATER. She went back on the bus and got
another bottle, we asked her to get us a few more and she just said "Sorry, I
can't". We said thanks and walked back to the curb. She re-joined the group.
We heard them say they wanted coffee when they left, they all left water
bottles lying around so we picked them up. HAHA we know that's strange but
THOSE WERE ONCE ON THE BUS! Well, the guitarist and the shorter brown haired
girl were talking by a car while a few girls layed on the floor and tried to
sleep, they had all been up all night. The other girls were holding a
conversation of their own and they other guy had gone inside. Well, they
watched the sun come up and then just stood there. A group of girls went in
but the original four we first saw stayed outside.
They kept walking by a car and talking about there being a naked guy in it.
They walked to the car and that was near where we were sitting so we thought
they were coming to yell at us. Then the guitarist was with the shorter brown
haired girl and he leaned in the opened window and kept saying "Boo". I guess
the guy moved because they ran away. We looked later and there WAS a naked
guy in the car.
We couldn't be seen by them most of the time, we know we are stalkers and we
are good so dont bug us about it!
Mr. Hanson finally came out. We wanted to scream but didnt want to be seen.
He looked at the guitar player & the girl and was like "Y'all are still up?"
and they were like "Yes" and he was saying "Scott, you have a show tonight"
and the guitarist said "I know, I'll take a nap" and then Mr. Hanson got on
the bus. He came back out a while later and went back inside. The bus they
were all on left to go to the venue at 7 or so. The four girls and Scott (we
found out his name) went to the pool.
We kept walking by the pool and things and they still had tons of energy,
they were talking and joking but this time, they were sitting in a circle
talking. We didnt walk by quite as much but we heard something about not
showering and the girls were screaming "Ewwww". Scott, the guitar guy smoked
a lot. I think every time we saw them, he was smoking. I wonder how old he
is? Then one of the girls (the one we got the bottle from) walked inside and
went to her room alone. Then the girls split with Scott. The girl came back
and had changed and stuff. Then they all met again (the girls) and this time
the little girl (Mandy) wasn't there.
Well, they went outside again and started to play soccer. Mandy was there now
so it was all 4 of them. They had all changed and gotten ready. Then Mr.
Hanson came out and they kept saying "Walks on the Rocks" or something, we
think it's a nickname. Then the girl who gave me the bottle and Mandy walked
in behind Mr. Hanson and got on the elevator with him. He had been talking to
them and stuff. They came back down and told Missy (Not Misty, we heard wrong
the night before) "They'll be down soon". We were freaking out. It is really
funny to watch people that have no idea you are there.
Well, they were talking about going to lunch with some friends. Then I
finally found out the girl who had given me the bottle's name (It is Brooke).
Because Missy was saying her name. Well, a few minutes later, Isaac came out.
We totally froze because we had never seen him up close before. He said "Hey
guys" to them and they were like "Oh Ike's tired" and laughing about his
hair. He walked back inside and the girls followed. Soon after, they brought
out luggage and purses and stuff. they set it by the tree.
Isaac came out again and they still hadn't talked to him. I guess they see
him enough to not care. We however were still in heaven. We were seeing
Hanson and their dad in PERSON! Then more fans started coming and the guys
came out a lot more. Zac came out one time and Missy and Brooke (I hope we
have that right) came out with him. They snuck up on him and did the
"Whaaaaassssuuuupppp" thing to him. It kinda made him jump and he turned
around and grabbed his watergun and pointed it at them and they were like
"OMG Zac, NO" yelling at him. Who would yell at Zacl? Everyone kept walking
back and forth inside and out.
Then the Hanson family and everyone was waiting inside a door, in this little
room at the entry. Then Brooke and the taller brown haired girl walked out of
the door, they had been in there for a minute and then they picked up some of
her bags whe they came out. Mackenzie was like playing with the door as they
walked out and Missy was going in. He was being cute and they were just
laughing. We dont know where she took the bags because we looked at Missy who
was walking in. Her mom and her came out and her mom said something about
Walker!
Then they opened out and started walking, the girls were walking too and then
their mom drove off. Short after, Zac came back with Zoe and the Hanson's
came back in small groups. Then the girls came up behind. On of the darker
haired ones was walking with Taylor. She was pretty.
They all went back inside and soon they were back outside with the
soccerball. Well, then they were all walking out. The bus had pulled up and
fans were on one side and their parents and Ashley and his wife were on the
other side, fans weren't supposed to go over there but when we looked, the 4
girls were over there. On their way over there we met the guys. I shook Tay
and Ike's hands and they all said "Hi" to me. I thought I was going to faint.
We touched their luggage too. We asked them if they were enjoying Texas and
they said they were. Then they walked around to the other side and we saw
them and the girls (I hate them!) talking to Ashley and then to Mr. Hanson
and the driver. They were laughing the whole time. Then Mackenzie walked up
to them and was playing with something. We had also seen Ike talking to one
of the other girls that was on the bus, she was with other people, not the
guitarist or the four girls.
They opened the luggage doors on bothe sides so we had been able to see
through. We looked through and saw the girls there with the younger Hanson's
talking and stuff. Mackenzie kept crawling to our side and he was yelling at
us. Some girl was taking pictures and he got mad, then one girl said he
wasn't Batman (he said he was) and he got really mad. He stole her water gun!
He started really pouting and the Brooke girl and Missy and the other brown
haired one walked up to him. Brooke got on his level and bent down and
started to comfort him and wisper. Some girl got IN the luggage thing and
took a pic of his back. Brooke saw and she moved him out of our view. I don't
blame her. They had asked for no pictures! We kept seeing people walk by
though the luggage door. When Mackenzie went through it he would yell "To the
Batmobile". The girls sat in the luggage thing and Zac was laughing at them.
Since they were sitting there, we could not see anyone. They were talking to
the driver and he said he was waiting on their luggage.
Then finally we got to where we could see what was up on the other side
clearly. When we got over there, Taylor and those girls were talking. He
looked so cute. Taylor said something and they all laughed and they were
looking at pictures. I think they were Taylor's and he gave them the copies
or something? I couldn't hear clearly because Zac came to the door and
squirted Taylor and a few of the girls. Taylor denied having anything to do
with it. Then, this girl RAN over to him and was acting dumb and begged for a
pic. He took a picture with her and was like "We have to go" then he said
"See y'all later k?" to the girls and the girls were like "Yeah!" and he got
on the bus. ONE of the brown haired girls got on the bus and the others got
in a seperate van with more girls who had arrived there later (A girl
Jessica's age and a girl the Hanson's age). They rode to the venue with the
bus. People in the family were still walking on and off and the girls still
stood there. We got a few pictures even though they said not to because Keri
is a huge fan of the family.
We saw the girls at the park walking around. They couldn't find the venue. We
were sitting down and heard them ask for directions. We just kept following
them. They walked around and sat in a restraunt for hours and then took a
nap, we saw them after they came back from sleeping and walked around
following them again. We figured that a few might be friends and a few might
be cousins of the Hanson's.
We got to the actual venue and we saw the guy they were with earlier with his
yellow pass on and he was giving the girls we saw at the hotel, their
backstage pass things. They did this in private but when someone saw,
everyone got on the guy asking for passes (He is Ashley's brother) and was
joking "Go ask Ashley, he has the passes for MOE and stuff" and pionted to
Ashley. It was really funny.
Some ladies daughter fainted and they were going to go home so we got their
meet and greet passes. We screamed so loud a cop came over to see if we were
ok. We got in the line and waited. It is hard to explain how it was set up.
When we got back there we were so happy. We went into the room and Hanson was
RIGHT there. We said "Hi" and shook their hands. We didnt know what to say to
them and Keri wanted to ask about those girls but I told her not too because
they might get mad. So we just said "Good Luck" and stuff. Then Ike asked if
we had been at the hotel earlier and we said yes and he remembered us. We
could not believe Ike remembered US! Keri likes him and she couldnt breathe.
We got in a picture with them and then were leaving. Zac turned to Tay and
was calling him a "Pimp" and said he needed to e-mail Jess's friend. We were
wondering why he would e-mail his 12 year old sister's friend?
Then we followed our tickets and we ended up by the girls from the hotel. We
heard tons of stories while waiting for the show to start. They didnt know we
were listening and they were wispering. Taylor is a very funny person by the
stories we heard. The roadies and crew kept yelling at them from the stage
and waving. We thought this was funny. The girls were really nice but they
withdrew themselves from the fans. They were talking when they mentioned
something about what songs they were going to sing, Taylor dancing and "sha
na na song". That was all cleared up later. Then they saw some guy and were
screming his name. He was with the crew. His name was Peter. Then they also
screamed for Romeo?
The show started and the guys and the guys behind them kept looking at the
chicks and smiling and waving. We were happy because they were looking our
way. The girls were talking about Taylor's pants and him being a "pimp". They
were laughing about him being a pimp when they talked to him at the hotel.
That must be a really big joke.
We know we stalk and it's fun! Don't think for a second that if you had been
in our positon, you wouldn't have listened and watched.
Well, as the concert went on, the girls were "making fun of the FANatical
ones" and were screaming and yelling. It was funny the amount of sarcasim
they had. They said something like "Isaac wont look at us for what we did
this morning, he's a dork" and they were laughing. We found out from
listening to the girls that the Arlington show was being taped for the main
part of the next long-form and that the guys are going to record again after
they are done touring. Supposebly the guys have a lot of songs ready and some
they didn't get to put on This Time Around.
We turned around and took a pic of the two brown haired girls. We thought
they wouldn't notice but they did and got mad. Then my friend got even more
stupid and took ANOTHER of the other ones. They noticed but didn't say
anything. I hope they turn out. One of the girls from the hotel exchanged
e-mails with some other girl in the crowd, they had talked before the show. I
need to find them, I want to talk to them!
Well, the guys sang so many good songs. Zac was so HOT. He squirted his gun a
lot and gave out his drumsticks. I wish I would have gotten one.
During the Rolling Stone's song, Taylor did a chicken dance and Brooke was
like "Haha Mick Jagger, he did the dance" and then she said something about a
guy named Jason! Must be a joke? Then they dedicated a song to their friend
"the sha na na song". We almost died because the girls called it that! Missy,
the brown haired girl and Brooke were like cracking up. They said "It's for
Sara" and they were laughing. I wish I knew everything they were talking
about.
They sounded great! My favorite songs were "In the City" and "Wish that I was
There". They sang 27songs. During "Speechless", they introduce the other guys
and Brooke and Stephanie (My friend to me that is the other brown haired
girls name) cheered so loud. We think that's a joke. They said "Scott did the
new solo, yea!" so I guess they were waiting for that. They also cheered for
the other keyboard guy. He played the Peanuts song and they were laughing
about that.
The concert was awesome. We ended up closer because a lot of people left not
knowing there was an encore! We moved up and then so did the girls. I got to
be where, if they looked forward, we were eye level with Hanson because I was
standing on my seat. A lot of people did, so security gave up. I wanted to
jump onstage and kiss Zac but my mom said "No".
Then, aftert the show, we followed the girls and they walked out. We thought
they might go see the guys. We were behind them and we found out Steph's name
because Missy said "Where is Steph?" and they also saw the guy Hanson's age
that was with them the night before and he was like "See y'all later" and
they left.
While they were walking out, Missy told them not to talk about anything until
they got in the car. We think they cought on that people knew now. But, Mandy
was like "Brooke, call him, call him" in a mooshy voice "tell him good show,
Missy where is the phone" and Missy was like "SHUT UP Mandy we'll call him
later" and people were looking at them because they heard so they started
walking faster. Brooke and Stephanie looked scared because they didnt know
what people would say, they had the funniest look on their faces. They were
so scared! There were these really wierd people by the exit screaming about
Papa Roach and Limp Biskit. That was the last time we saw them or Hanson. It
was a blast and we finally met Hanson!

Ok well, we left Huntsville around 9 in the morning and got to Atlanta around 2. I was SO excited when we got into Atlanta!!! I found my friend Elizabeth fairly easily in the line. She wasn't too far back either. :o) So we said hey and stuff and then decided to go back around to the backstage area since there was a group of fans back there. We stood around for awhile and met some really cool people!! We met hanson.net fan of the week #8, Whitney and her friend Eva!! Hey guys!! :o) And I hope you had a great birthday Eva, which I seriously doubt that it sucked!! lol. :D So we were standing around talking to the security guard, asking him if Hanson was gonna come around over where we were and stuff. So we were talking and the security guard was like, spraying us with water and stuff. lol. It felt pretty good actually since it was SO hot. He was standing on the edge of this truck that had Hanson's super soakers in it. I took some pics of those. :o) So then these girls came running down from Hanson's hotel saying that they just met Hanson. We asked them if they were coming to the venue and they said they were on their way!! So I told Elizabeth and everyone was all excited. People started telling everyone not to scream cuz there was only about 30 people over there and we didn't want everyone coming over there and plus we wanted to shake their hands and not have them be scared lol. So the whole time we were waiting for Hanson to get there all you could hear was "SHHHHH!!" and "DON'T SCREAM!!!". so everyone got all quiet and then the bus pulled up. We were still pretty quiet, with the occasional squeal since they were finally there. I'm guessing that Taylor was the first one out. I'm not sure because I couldn't see them because of the truck but one girl went "OH MY GOD ITZ TAYLOR!" and almost everyone started screaming. *rolls eyes* So then I could see people walking and I jumped up and finally saw them!! Zac was first, then Taylor. There was a little ramp thing leading up to the backstage area and it had a fence type thing around it and so they were walking really fast up onto that. They waved at us though. And then Ashley was behind them, which I was very glad for. hehehe. Ike came out about a minute later I guess. I dunno why he took so long. So then they got inside and we went over to stand closer to the backstage door in case they came back out so that we could try and touch their hands through the fence. Walker came by about four times and I said hey everytime and he said hi back. haha that was pretty cool!! They started doing soundcheck and we could hear them singing Wish That I Was There, Where's the Love, and If Only. Some people said that they were also doing Song to Sing and Never Let Go or Beautiful Eyes. I'm guessing Beautiful Eyes. But I couldn't hear those two. So anyway, Scott Hogan came out and I said hi to him and he said hey back. that was pretty cool. And then a few minutes after Scott came out, Matt Rhodes came out. I said hey to him too and he said hey back. Scott started signing some autographs so I got him to sign my poster/sign. He is EXTREMELY nice!!!! Totally cool. :o) And for all of those who care(like ME!) he has a cartilage piercing in his left ear. lol I thought that was awesome. I asked him if he could ask Ashley to come out but he said Ashley was busy. oh well. So then we walked down to this place to get something to drink and then to the Wyndham across the street to use the bathroom and cool off. Then we got back in line. We still had about 2 hours left so we just talked with other fans and sang some Hanson songs to pass the time. Then around 5 I guess, Diana, Zoe, Jessica, Mackenzie, and some family friends came walking down the street across from the Tabernacle. Everyone was screaming and taking pics of them and I was trying to get everyone NOT to take pics but that didn't work too well. Elizabeth and I were like, the only ones with cameras who weren't taking pictures. blah. So then my mom found Joy and her friend Erin FINALLY. So they got up there in line with us and we were like, right next to the doors so we were very happy. :o) We talked to pass the remaining hour before they would let us in. It seemed like forever but they finally started getting guards near the doors and saying they were gonna open the doors. We decided to all link arms so that we wouldn't lose each other going into the venue. So we finally got up the stairs and into the venue. We RAN up the stairs soo fast and into the place where they'd be playing. We ran to the closest spot and started freaking out when we realized how close we were. I started freaking out before that actually. lol I had to stop to pick up my ticket stub and I turned around and saw how close they had gotten and freaked. Joy and I were jumping up and down and screaming "OH MY GOD WE'RE GONNA BE THIS CLOSE TO HANSON!". ha it was pretty funny. We were in about the 10th row, maybe closer. So then more people started getting in there and we started getting pushed around and all that lovely crap. Joy was like, cussing people out and stuff because no one would back up and we were so squished and there was a girl that was gonna be sick in front of us and one crying beside Joy cuz she was scared so Joy's like "YOU FREAKS! If you don't back up this girl's gonna be SICK!! And you've already made one girl CRY!!! BAACKK UPPP!" lol it was pretty funny. :o) Of course no one moved but whatever. Neve came out pretty soon and they were really cool!!! The guitarist on our side, I think his name was Michael, was getting really into it and stuff. :o) haha he was cool!! So Neve played for about 30 or 40 minutes and then left. We were all so hot by then but we were very excited to see Hanson. A girl in front of us passed out and they had to pour water on her to wake her up. I think she made it through the concert though. I'm not sure. There were already girls being pulled out of the crowd and passing out and stuff. I felt so bad for them! So finally the lights went out and I swear it was SO loud!! I seriously think it was louder than lakewood and there was 17,000 more people there! lol. They opened with "You Never Know". It was really cool but there were some times when we could barely hear them at all because the screaming was so loud. I think they said something after that but I couldn't hear them. Then they played "Where's the Love". They sang the "You drove me crazy" part this time, instead of changing the words like they did on Albertane. I was really happy they did cuz I love the "you drove me crazy". After that, they asked us all to move back about 3 steps so that it could be fun for all of us. Ike was talking to his side of the crowd, trying to get them to move back and Taylor was looking at *his* side(the side we were on) asking us how we were doing and stuff. lol it was pretty funny. Cuz we had Ike being serious and Taylor making us scream really loud...muahaha. And then Zac was saying something and he said "because we want you to smile!". I didn't catch on at first cuz I'm dumb like that(lol) but then Joy screamed at me that they were about to do "Smile"! I was happy about that hehe. :o) So they started playing it and Joy, Elizabeth, and I were all screaming the song. Everyone was looking at us like "how in the world do you know the words to this song?!". haha. So after that they played Runaway Run I think. I was freaking out over that song since itz one of my favorite Hanson songs. And I of course screamed "just one breath is a million sighs!" as loud as I could. hehehe. :o) So then they did "Wish That I Was There". I started getting way too hot during this song and I started feeling like I was gonna pass out. I needed water so bad. I was still singing and stuff but I could not put my hands up. :o( I wanted to be able to clap with them but I knew if I did I'd pass out. Then they sang "I Don't Know". They probably said something before the song but I couldn't hear them again. It took me awhile to figure out what song it was but then I realized that since they were saying "I don't know" so many times that it was probably "I Don't Know". lol. hehe, itz a great song!!! Totally awesome. :o) When they finished that, Taylor said "Guys, we just can't stop!". Everyone was screaming then and they started playing "Can't Stop". It was so cool! You could hear everyone doing the "i-e-i-e-i-e-i-i" thing. hehehe. :o) Then, after the tick tocks, they stopped playing and the lights went out. I thought the song was over but then they started doing the "can't stop, can't stop, can't stop it" part and the lights came back on. It was SO COOL! ahh haha I loved it. :o) So then they started playing "Thinking of You". I love that song live!!! They did the really awesome extended version that they did on the fillmore. It rocked. So then they had this REALLY awesome retro/70's/rainbow swirly lighting. It was SOO awesome!! I took a pic of it, I'll get it up here sometime. They started playing "Magic Carpet Ride". ahh oh my gosh I was DEFINITELY screaming this song!!!! hehe itz like Elizabeth said, how could you NOT know the words to this song?!! It totally rocked, especially the "last night I held aladdin's lamp..." part. :o) :o) Then they played "A Minute Without You". I was REALLY surprised they played this song!! I couldn't hear the beginning so I didn't even know they were playing it but then it got louder and I was like "oh my gosh!". So then they went off the stage so they could change sets. It surprisingly only took about a minute this time and they were right back out! Taylor had taken off his overshirt and had on a white wifebeater. :o) You should have HEARD the screaming when he came out in that thing! lol. It was so loud! hehe so they sat down and played "Sure About It". Then they did "Stories". hehe I love this song live!!!! itz so awesome. :o) They played "Beautiful Eyes" next but I don't really remember it that well....I'd have to hear it again. Then they did "A Song to Sing". That song was soo beautiful!! You could hear us singing along with them and it was so amazing. It gave me chills and made me so happy even though I felt like crap. They sang "This Glassy Surface" with it and it was so awesome! They looked so sad though. Well Isaac and Taylor did, Zac was having fun waving at people and making them scream. :o) lol. Then they sang "Money". I was really surprised they sang that one too, since they covered it on Albertane. But I was REALLY starting to feel like crap then so I didn't get to really have fun during that song. :o( I love that song though so I'm hoping they'll do it in Memphis or Nashville. Near the end of Money I started freaking out. I was trying to find someone, anyone who had water. I really did NOT want to pass out because I didn't wanna miss the concert. No one cared who they were drinking from as long as they got something. So I started getting reaallly scared and I was crying and stuff. It wasn't bad or anything, you could hardly tell. So then my stepdad came down RIGHT in time with water. I just grabbed it from him and drank practically the whole thing. You wouldn't believe how good it tasted. So then I felt tons better. They went off stage again so the people could change sets. They came back and did Look At You. I missed the first verse of this song cuz I was still gulping down water. lol. To tell you the truth, I barely remember ANYTHING about this song! haha. It was cool though, they were getting us to clap and stuff. So after Look at You, Taylor grabbed his mic and walked to the center of the stage. He did his little "coordination test" where he made us clap, move our hands from side to side, and jump. hehe I knew what song was coming up next so I was excited :o) Then he started playing the beginning of "If Only". Ahh I swear he looks so good when he plays that harmonica! lol. This song was REALLY cool, everyone was getting into it!!! I could feel the floor vibrating from everyone jumping so much lol. I think "If Only" is SO much better live! Itz just awesome and so energetic. :o) Then they went straight into "This Time Around". Taylor was saying something while he was playing the piano intro but I couldn't understand what he was saying. So "This Time Around" was pretty crazy too. Joy and I screamed the "do you know why i'd die?" as loud as we could and I think a lot of other people did too. :o) Hahaha Joy itz a tradition! lol. It was really cool. So then they started talking but I couldn't hear them so I was trying to help my stepdad fix my camera and Joy was like "brittani! brittani! They're about to play Lonely Again!" and so I was like "ahh!!" and started clapping and stuff. This song was really cool live....I couldn't hear them that well but I could still hear. People were looking at us like "how do you know this?" again lol but it was cool. Next was "Hand in Hand". Ok I already love this song soo much but itz even cooler live!! I don't see how anyone could not like this song, itz just so awesome! The lights were very bright during this song and they were making me dizzy but it was still cool. :o) hehe. Taylor didn't mention his "warbly" movements at the beginning though. lol. :D So then Taylor said "How many of you came to the concert here on the Albertane Tour?". He got quite a few screams for that one. :o) And then I think he said something like "then you might remember this song...." or something like that. I still couldn't hear him very well. So they started "Man From Milwaukee". I was actually pretty surprised they did this one too. Zac took his hair down and he was headbanging the whole time. lol it was so cute! You couldn't see his face at ALL because he has soo much hair!! He was singing but you couldn't see any part of his face. Just the hair. lol. Zac is so cool, I swear! hehe. I'm pretty sure "Speechless" was next. Taylor said something that had the word speechless in it but I can't for the life of me think of what he said. haha. I've never been a big fan of Speechless, on the album or live. I did like the back up introductions though. :o) Haha Taylor was bowing down to each of the back ups like "I'm not worthy!". :D Everyone keeps saying Scott Hogan played the bass behind his head but Taylor's dumb keyboards were in the way and I couldn't see! lol. I screamed the loudest for Scott though. :o) he rocks. I also don't think Taylor almost killed his keyboards either like he used to. lol. Although that was always the highlight of the song....anyway, moving on. "Mmmbop" was next. They said the usual "you guys probably know this song...". This is about when we got up to the second row and Joy got to first. We were so squished so I had to keep my hands up the whole time. hehe. This song is always so much fun live. :o) Then they started talking again and I STILL could barely hear them! lol. we were right by the speakers and I was like "what in the world are they saying?!" haha. They said this was their last song and I remember Ike saying something like "this is one of the first song's we ever sang live together" and Taylor was snapping his fingers....at first I thought they were gonna do "the longest time" or something and I was like "uhh...." lol. But then Joy turned around and was like "I think this is Johnny B. Goode!". I FREAKED out when she told me that! Seriously, I was spazzing. lol. I'm already obsessed enough as it is with this song and I've been dying to hear Hanson sing it for like, two years, so when Joy said that I started jumping up and down and screaming. hehe it was pathetic but I was so happy! lol I couldn't help it. So they started playing the song and I was like, screaming the words as loud as I could. Of course by this point I was really hoarse but I didn't care. I had this sudden burst of energy. I have no idea where it came from. It was so awesome to FINALLY be hearing Hanson sing this song live!! ahh it totally rocked. :o) hehe. So then they acted like they were gonna leave and they touched a few people's hands. I of course got squished then since I was so close. To the girl that was in front of me - I'm sorry I squished you so much! hehe. :o) So they left the stage and it was really dark....we started chanting Hanson and then the lights came back on and the back ups came back out. The screaming was SO LOUD! Hanson came back out then and it got even louder. I'm pretty sure that this was when Taylor and Zac were talking about something before going to their instruments....I don't remember exactly. Anyway, they played "Summertime Blues" then. I figured they'd do this one again, just because itz sooo cool! I absolutely love this song by them. :o) I listen to it all the time on my Atlanta '98 bootleg. Ike did his really deep voice again too. Haha everyone freaked about that part. :o) Ike screwed up on the third verse. lol that was funny. He was singing the second verse again and then he realized it after about the first or second line. lol they were laughing about that one. :o) hehehe. Taylor didn't bring the microphone down and let us sing this time though. :o( I wanted him to do that so bad too!!! I was looking forward to it since I was actually close this time. :o( oh well. It still rocked. :o) So then they probably said something like "you guys rock..thanks for coming..this is the last song" kinda thing....I don't remember. But they started playing "In the City" and Taylor was of course at the center of the stage getting all of us to jump with him. hehe. This song was reaally cool! I knew it'd rock live. :o) I love Taylor's "you know you do!" after the "sittin there tryin to look so sweet...". :o) pure adorableness(lol is that a word?) hehe. He didn't really touch that many people's hands. I think he was sorta worried about us getting hurt or something....he was standing so close to us though! ahh it rocked. Everyone was practically on top of each other reaching for Taylor. lol I was so squished but all I was worried about was Tay touching my hand. Everyone was screaming "TAYLLOORR!" and stuff but he wouldn't touch us. haha. I almost hit Walker when I was trying to touch Taylor. lol oops. Walker was running back and forth trying to keep up with Taylor to get him on video haha. :o) I don't think Ike and Tay did the "I'm gonna ask you once again..." part together this time either. Taylor was too busy running around. :o) hehe. So then they did "This Time Around" acapella. They got us to move our arms from side to side on that one. Ahh oh my gosh. Taylor, Isaac, and Zac were all touching people's hands then. Isaac ALMOST touched my hand and so did Taylor! It was so awesome being that close to them at the concert. ahh. :o) It was absolutely amazing. At some point during the concert, Taylor grabbed this girl's really long glow stick and was playfully banging her on the head with it. lol he had the cutest grin on his face! I was trying to get his hand but I got the glow stick thingy instead and so it was like, me and taylor holding onto it and I was just like "ahh!". hehe. totally cool. :o) Taylor threw out his sweat towel at the end of the concert too. I didn't even see him throw it and all of a sudden Joy was like "BRITTANI! HELP ME!" and I was like "what do you want me to help you with?!!". lol I thought someone was like, pulling on her or something and then she was like "I have Taylor's sweat towel! HELP ME!". She was fighting over it with this other girl and they were screaming at each other and stuff...it was pretty pathetic actually lol. My stepdad came down there and was pulling on it too. I was SO embarrassed. haha. I was like "um aren't adults supposed to be civilized people? Itz a SWEAT TOWEL! geez." lol. So they finally just ripped it in half. haha. And Ike threw out his guitar picks at some point too and one landed on Joy's shoulder and she gave it to me since she already has one. :o) Oh geez that concert was absolutely amazing!!! I can't WAIT to see them again!!!! Everyone who's going to a future TTA tour concert-have fun! I know you will. :o) Taylor was wearing black leather pants, a white wifebeater(tank top whatever), and either a tan or olive-colored overshirt. I couldn't really tell what color it was. I think it was pretty much olive colored. Ike was wearing a blue shirt and tan pants. He seems to wear that a lot.... Zac was wearing those jeans with the leather knees and a black t shirt. I almost forgot...Ike got hit in the head with something at one point. I'm pretty sure it was a water bottle. I didn't see it but everyone was saying that's what it was. He looked kinda mad about it too. lol. A lot of people were throwing glow sticks up on stage too and one was like, an inch away from hitting Taylor. Just thought I'd say that. :o) Ok I just have to say this....in the tour program they said THE MOST beautiful thing when they were talking about playing live. I was sitting there in the car reading it and I swear I was about to cry. If my parent's hadn't been there I would've cried. It was so sweet. I have it on the entrance page for this website but in case some of you got here from a different way, this is what it says: "Without a doubt we have awesome fans, and this tour is a dedication to you. We want you to feel like you are not just going to a concert, but you are a part of something - part of the experience with us - and you truly are. Everytime you acknowledge us, or buy our records, or request us on the radio, you are giving us something, so when we tour we get the chance to give something back to you." I thought it was so sweet! I knew then that I HAD to put that up on the entrance page. :o) Thank you Hanson for everything, you guys are the best. :o) THANK YOU TO.... KIM - for the tix. :o) I wouldn't have even been at that concert if you hadn't gotten the tix. :o) thanks. JOY-for letting me lay my head on your shoulder when I was about to pass out. hehe. And for the pick. I love that thing. :o) lol. Oh and we can't forget, for getting me up to the second row!! :o) ELIZABETH - for the water when we were waiting for hanson at the backstage area. And for the glowstick...and the water before Hanson came on. :o) AND for the spot in line!!! :o) :o) ELIZABETH'S MOM - for the coke after the concert. :o) and for holding my poster during the concert! :o) THE GIRL IN THE PINK SHIRT IN FRONT OF ME - for telling the people up front to get some water from the guard's for me. :o) I don't think I would've survived without that. :o) HANSON - for putting on such an AMAZING show!!! :o) :o)
Hey you guys! Well, I went to two concerts! First, I'll tell ya about the one at Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta. Well, We got there at about 5:30 and this was probably about the coolest thing. We pulled in at the same time as Hanson. I could see Tay standing up drinking some water, so we blowed the horn and he waved to us! It was really awesome, but anyways! We got out of the car and waited to see if the guys were gonna get off the bus, but they never did, so we went and got a place to stand. I pushed my way up to the front using the sad puppy dog face, I was like, "Excuse me, I'm really short and I've never seen Hanson before so can I get in front of you?" They bought it! I know I'm terrible! Anyways! They finally came out after a really stupid fashion show. They only sang about 4 or five songs. It was really cool. They played, "Run Away Run", "Where's the Love", "Thinking of YOu", "If Only" and "This Time Around". Okay, well it was more than 4. Okay, now here's the funny part. You had to have these little guitar things to get backstage. My friend Robin had one and I didn't. I was like, "Well, I've met them once already, so you go ahead, I'll be fine." But she didn't want ot leave me out there by myslef. So I got an awesome Idea. One of my friends was in the fashion show and she had just got back from metting the guys and so I asked her for her pass. She was like, "well, They know it's been used b/c the thing is broke off" I was like "I dont' care! I've got an idea!" So she gave it me and I put it on. I got through the first set of security gaurds then we were standing at the place before you go in and Robin was like, "What are you gonna do?" I bit it! I bit the bottem part and it looked like someone stepped on it! So when we got up there, I worked up some tears and told them the "Story". They believed me and I got to go back and me Hanson, once again! It was sooooo cool! So anyways, now for #2. I went the next day to The Tabernacle. I got there at like 1:30. We were in the front of the line. I was very excited b/c I've never seen Hanson up close in concert. I seen the on the Albertane Tour, but my seats were awful. We stood in line for 5 hours!!! It payed off. We got to see them arrive and I also go to meet Diana, and the rest of the Clan! LoL! I've never met them before. I had met Walker, but not Diana and the Kids. Zoe smiled at me, she is such a cutie! Anways! We finally got in there at like 6:45. I was in the front row on Tay's side. Neve cam eout first! They were kickin! Hanson came out at... well, I guess around 8ish, I'm not sure b/c I didn't have watch. I can't really remember what all they sang, LoL, I have a poor memory! I'll just list off some of the awesome things I remember! 1. Tay looked hot!! He was always jumoing around and getting the crowd hyped up. 2. Ike threatning us!! he said something about "if we didn't calm down they wouldn't play anymore!" we chilled! 3. People throwind Bra's up on stage! 4. Zac almost falling off his chair when they did the acoustic part. 5. Tay kissing my friend Katie! She's supossed to like Zac!! LoL! 6. Tay never going behind his keyboard during "In the City" *that is the awesome song when it's played live* There is like so much more, but I just don't have the memory enough to remember ! LoL! I hope you guys all get to meet them one day if you haven't already and see them on Tour! It's awesome!
Myrtle beach-sc-house of blues-MY FIRST HANSON ENCOUNTER!~* amazing. that's all i can say, amazing. the house of blues is not a very big venue. i was only 40 feet away from taylor. i had a perfect view. the doors opened at 7, we got there at six something. when we got in, we were on the middle level (the floor of the middle level is about two feet above the heads of the floor people) because the floor was full. i started feeling sick. i was about to see hanson. their stuff was on the stage because there was no opening act. the crew kept coming up there and making sure everything was working right. then, a person from some local radio station (i live in nc) came up and talked about how hanson said that they didn't want anyone to get hurt and that they might have to stop the show if everyone crowded toward the stage. but, no one was getting bad yet. a few girls had to get taken out because they were pushing really bad and stuff, i have no idea where they went then. anyways, the guy ,made another annoucement and went off the stage. they were playing some of counting crow's "august and everything after" album. then, the back up band came on!!!!! the lights went down to an almost black, and then i saw hanson walk on stage. isaac, then zac, then tay!!! i was screaming my head off!!!! they opened up with you never know, which i must say was perfect. they are so much better in real life than on tv live. my step-dad was even having a good time!~ then, with you never know at the end they kinda extended it and went into another song--cross desert something or whatever. that's about all i understood!!! i was sooooo close i could not believe it. i forget the order of songs--but the last full song was in the city and then tta accapella. here's the set list: you never know if only this time around runaway run save me (tay smiled and looked at me!) can't stop i wish that i was there( they were in the center of the stage performing this!) love song (ike and zac shared the mic while tay played keyboard!) sure about it (middle of stage for this one too!) hand in hand in the city thinking of you mmmbop speechless (extended version where they introduced the band. taylor and ike kept diong this bow type thing--AWESOME!) where's the love (i kept saying--right here!) look at you a minute without you (they can't live a minute without me they said!) man from milwaukee ( when zac was head banging during the "mother bird calling baby bird" part, his mic screwed up and it sounded muffled. he broke it!) can't always get what you want (awesome awesome awesome song!!! they did SO well singing and playing it!) johnny b. goode i don't know (one of the most beautiful songs---i think they said we were the first to hear it live--i'm not sure though) magic carpet ride ("won't you some with me little girl on a magic carpet ride?" haha--yes!!!! amazing performance!) smile (tay looked at me several times during this one--i was throwing horns the whole time!)during one of the first songs, taylor blew a kiss to the audience, i felt like melting. it was sooo sweet the way he did it. they got very involved with the crowd, and the didn't hold back on their instrument playing, zac was head banging, ike was jammin on the guitar, taylor was doing his little jump, foot dance on the keyboard, and the back-up musicians were rocking out!!! it was matt's b-day and we sang happy birthday (with hanson!) to him. the atmosphere was sooo laid back. like i was so close to them. everyone was. hanson kept talking to each other and to their back-up band (away from the mics) and see who wanted to play what song next and how they were going to end it. taylor usually did this. also, after 5 songs, they would make sure everyone was okay and be like "okay guys, if someone infront of you tells you to move back, move back. we don't want anyone getting hurt." zac gave away two sets of drum sticks, ike got involved with the audience on his solo's ans taylor was jumping up and down on speakers! (i'll explain later). here's what they were wearing: ike---shiny red shirt with shiny white pants, after about 6 songs took his shirt off- white wife beater----shoes-? zac---funky green shirt with print and some red shiny pants---shoes-- white worn out ones (when he would get to the crowd they would touch his feet he was like "my shoes--hey everybody-they like my shoes!) taylor (sigh)-beautiful blue shirt with dark blue design prints---blue jeans---black shoes??? (during the last, maybe, 3? songs, he was wearing his black wife beater!!!! the most amazing time was this. taylor smiled at me! they were singing "save me" and when taylor said the first "save" he looked over in my direction. i was the only person on my side that was freaking out (it was maily adults and i was in the front) and i started throwing horns (i love you sign) at him, and i was the only one relly freaking out (there were mailny fans to my left). he was looking right at me, smiled then i waved and he nodded his head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg!!!! well, at the end, they sang "in the city". it was sooo awesome!!! tay and ike were sharing a mic some of the time and there was a guy that was on stage video taping it for their new home video (i guess). IT WAS AWESOME!!! but the best part about was, taylor was getting involved with the crowd, then he jumped on the main speaker on my side, and, kinda did a little pelvic thrust!!! HOLY-COW!!! i seriously almsot fainted. the he ran across the stage and jumped on the other one and was dancing!!! i was like "oh my God!"!!!! then, zac gave away some more drum sticks, and these girls were fighting over them. so zac's like "it's for the gir lbehind you, not you":) it was soo funny! then he gave that otehr girl a pair. oh crap, i forgot to say that during, ummm, i think love song? taylor was like "okay guys, now you have to go like this--puts thumb in air--and wave it like it's a lighter" hehe. he's soooo cute! there was alot of "keep your hands waving like this" (i love it when they do it with us!~*) durign that song and every other one. well, zac was making jokes and ike was jamming and taylor was sweet, it was an amazing amazing A-FRIGGIN-MAZING night. i got some great pics too--when i can i will post them! see-ya fansons!~* ~catherine hanson-a real fanson~ hansync_tay@yahoo.com e-mail me if ya went!~*
Hey! My name is Nicole. I live in South Florida and went to the Sunrise
concert in Ft. Lauderdale. For all you fans planning to jump on stage.
I strongly advise you not to. They cut a few songs short because of it and
didn't sing a cappella. "Bummer" was what Taylor said to be
exact on their behavior. It all started out great and about 30 minutes
into the show a GUY dressed in a black and red mini dress with short black hair
jumped on stage and literally started to grope and kiss Taylor. I assume
Taylor saw this and that's why he just about pushed him off. Then about
one hour later a girl jumped on stage, not wearing much clothes I might add, and
as she lunged for Taylor (not exaggerating) she tripped over a wire and made a
huge fool of
herself. And Taylor WAS laughing at her, along with the theater audience.
Then about five minutes later a small group of young girls jumped on stage and
clung to him. Security had to take them off. He may not say it but he was
scared sh!tless. Please respect them and allow them to play what you came there
for. Also, they stopped the show several times to tell the audience to
back off from the stage because people were getting hurt. I enjoyed the
show, and if you would like too as well, please don't jump on stage or smush
people against the stage. Nicole Coral Springs, Florida
Hey, I just wanted to tell you guyz that I went to the Adventure Landing
thingy on the 28th. It was AWESOME!! I loved it. Hanson are the sweetest boys.
They made sure everyone (that won) got to talk to them and get an autograph. I
shook all of their hands and Taylor gave me a hug :) Then, later, when they were
racing, Zac crashed about 7 times (lol) it was very
funny. Also, I went to the Orlando concert and it was soo cool. They played
about 25 songs and made sure you kept jumping. MmmBye guys. P.S. Neve is a
really good band. {Ashley}
The Arlington, TX Concert: August 19, 2000. This was my first Hanson concert, so I was really excited! We got the tickets July 14, and they came in the mail later on. This was my birthday present, and this was the best one ever! Ok> back to the story. Mom said that I could take one friend, so I picked my cousin, Lauren, to go. None of my friends like Hanson, and Lauren kinda likes them, so I thought she would enjoy going. Lauren arrived at my house Friday night (Aug. 18), and spent the night with me. We didn’t go to bed till 2am, we were so excited! Anyway, we woke up at 6am the next morning, and headed out the door around 7:30 or 8 to start the 3 hour drive to Arlington. It seemed like forever to get there! On the way, we listened to TTA and slept a little as well, because spending a whole day at Six Flags and then going to a Hanson concert will take a lot of energy! When we woke up and started to arrive in the Dallas area, my cousin woke me up and told me that these people that had passed us had Hanson posters taped all over their car, which was pretty cool. We were starting to see other cars that were going to see them as well. We had not thought about putting up posters or writing on our car with shoe polish earlier, but after we saw those people’s car, I got out some paper and markers and tape and taped homemade signs and my TTA cover to the car windows! We arrived at Six Flags and saw Hanson fans galore! It was so cool to see all these other people that were Hanson fans just like us, and everyone was really nice! They would stop and talk to you and ask you if you were going to the concert, etc. (Hi to everyone who talked to us! You rock!) I wore a yellow shirt that said "KICKGAS" on it in red, but around 3 or 4pm, I changed into a shirt that said "Will sing for meet –n- greet passes" with my MOE card taped onto it. I should have worn it all day because someone told me that Ashley Greyson secretly went around the park today looking for people with MOE cards. L But I didn’t think about that earlier…anyway, we went to the theatre gates and there were already tons of fans gathered there looking for Hanson or someone related or friends with them. As we walked up, people were freaking out, and I realized that the younger siblings were walking by me! I didn’t see Zoë, but I know she walked by be, being carried by a friend. I saw Diana (Sorry, "Mrs. Hanson"!) come out and talk to some of the fans as she walked by, and them Mackenzie walked out behind her. He looks so grown up now; I didn’t even recognize him at first! He looks just like Zac now. J He had this really scared look on his face, I felt so sorry for him. Someone had told me later on that some girls were chasing after the family! How rude! Anyway, we stood there for a while trying to see when they would let us in, and the guy at the gate said that they would open it in 2 hours, so we left and went to the tower. Boy, when we got there, I saw something that I never thought I would ever see… We got in line for the elevator, and we met some cool people in line and we talked for a minute. Then we got on, and rode up to the top. When we got there, someone said that Hanson was down below playing Frisbee outside the theatre! We walked up to the viewing area, and low and behold; they were! Taylor was going shirtless!!! There were these binocular things that cost 50 cents to view, so I put the money in and saw them WAAAAY up close. It was really cool to see! There was some teenage girl with brown hair wearing a pass playing with them, but I didn’t think it was a big deal. Taylor looked so hot without a shirt! I thought I never would see him like that in real life! I snapped some pics, and tried to take a pic through the binoculars, a close up of Taylor. I haven’t gotten them developed yet; I hope it turns out!! So, we watched for a minute, and my mom talked to this guy and his son who were from Tulsa. Afterwards, she came up to me and said, "That man was from Tulsa. I told them how much we liked Hanson and that we were here to see them, and he said he lived in their neighborhood and didn’t like them at all. I told him that they were very talented and cool, and he totally disagreed." I thought that that was weird, because I thought that most people from Tulsa liked them. Anywho, we got down from the tower and got drinks, then went back to the gates. There were guys who were setting up a merchandise stand, so I gave Mom some money and she bought me a tour book and T-shirt that had the TTA single cover pic on it. We saw Mrs. Hanson, a family friend, and the kids walk back into the gates on the other side because they had finished riding the rides, and so that was cool to see them again. The kids are so cute! After about 45 minutes, the man at the front opened the gate, and we all started going in. Luckily, there wasn’t any pushing or shoving to get in. We walked into the theatre and found our seats. We were Sec. F, Row X, Seats 13-15. They were ok, but there was a pole blocking our view of Zac, so we kinda were sad about that. There was some guy giving out meet and greet passes, so I ran up there to see if I could get one for me and my cousin, and they had already given them out. L Oh well, maybe next concert. (I’ve never met them before!) It was getting closer and closer to the start of the concert, and there were still some empty seats left close to the front. Lauren asked Mom if we could try to move up there, so Lauren and me moved and Mom stayed to guard our real seats in case someone asked us to go back to our seats. We stayed until about concert time right before Hanson came out, and nobody claimed where we were sitting, so Mom came to sit down. We were so close, about 15 or more feet from the stage, on Taylor’s side. One of KISS FM’s DJ’s introduced Hanson (I don’t know which one), and they ran out! Talk about major screaming from the fans! (I had a sore throat all that day and the night before, so I kept my screaming to a minimum, or tried to anyway, LOL! Taylor wore a dark gray wifebeater, (YESSSSS!!! Oh, he looked hot, as usual. LOL!) Zac was wearing an orange shirt with green pants, and I can’t quite remember what Ike was wearing, though I did remember that he wore sunglasses for the first part of the concert. They opened up with You Never Know (at least, I think they did, but for some reason, I thought they opened with Can’t Stop, but I don’t think they did.) They performed these, not in particular order: Thinking of You, MMMBop, Speechless (They introduced the back-up players during this and gave them each about 1 minute to do a solo), Lucy (acoustic), A Minute Without You, Man From Milwaukee, Money, This Time Around, Runaway Run, Can’t Stop, Wish That I Was There (I can’t remember if that was acoustic or not, anyone know? I have a bad memory I guess!), Sure About It (acoustic), You Never Know, Hand In Hand, If Only, In The City, Lonely Again, Smile, I Don’t Know, A Song to Sing, and these covers: Magic Carpet Ride, Can’t Always Get What You Want, Piece of my Heart, Johnny B. Goode, & Summertime Blues. I liked how they always encouraged the crowd to clap, sway, and sing along to the music. Also, during the part where they introduced the back-up band, Taylor made us playfully "bow down" to them as they each did their solos. That was funny! And, who could forget this: Taylor did the funky chicken across the stage during one of the songs. It was HILARIOUS! He also threw his water bottle in the crowd, and it came flying towards us! My mom tried to grab it because it came straight to her, but she didn’t completely grab it and the girl in front of us got it. (Bummer!) But I still think that it was cool that we almost had it. Ike and Tay went to the end of the stage a lot of and shook the fans hands, but there were too many people gathered up there and I would not have been able to shake their hand, so I didn’t try to go up there. It was mobbed with fans! Luckily, the security made them go back to their seats. They wouldn’t let anyone stand on the seats for safety reasons, so we stood up on the ground the entire time. They let us stand up for their encore, so I thought that was cool. I know this may sound teenie-ish, but I swore they Taylor waved at me and smiled. Ike kept making the most eye contact our way, and I KNOW him and Tay, at one point, looked me straight in the eye. I started to "raise the roof" at their songs and when we cheered for them, and so I think that’s how they recognized me. I "raised the roof" just before they started the acoustic set, and Zac looked at me and laughed a little, I swear it! I know tons of other fans say things like this, but I am sure of this, I know it. (I hope I don’t sound like a teenie, LOL!) For the encore, they did In The City, Summertime Blues, and Johnny B. Goode. At some point, Taylor reached down to shake hands with fans and either fell into off the stage, or was pulled off, so he ran to get back on. Zac, as always, had his super soaker and shot at the crowd at different parts of the show. During Johnny B. Goode at the end, the sound, the instruments, and everything just cut off right then and there. Everyone was awestruck including Hanson, but they kept singing, and within about 30 seconds or less, it cut back on. (Thank goodness!) And of course at the very end, TTA acappella and the infamous bow. It was so awesome. I’ll never forget that experience. Just seeing them in real life, up close was so overwhelming. I thought I would never get to experience that. I am definitely going to try to see them again, and my next mission: MEETING THEM! Thanks for reading my review, and if you have any questions or comments, please send them to: itzfan03@yahoo.com Later!
Mall Of Louisiana ( Baton Rouge) Wednesday August 16th , 2000 First of all I would like to say Hanson are some of the nicest guys. I mean fame hasn't gone to their head or anything they are just really down to earth! Ok, so here is my story! Ah, I've waited 3 ½ years to do this! Ok, so I went to the mall of Louisiana right after school and I was like there isn't that many fans here in Louisiana, boy was I wrong. The line was out the mall! I was like oh dear so we got out there and we were talking to some Hanson fans (Hey Kim, Joshua (her 5-year-old brother!) and all the other people whose name I have forgotten. So, S. and me decided to go inside where they were to see if we could see them. And we found these two girls and they were like we will put you up so they put S up and they waved and they put me up but I was up and down because I was like falling so I was like don't worry about it. So, we walked outside and were waiting with the people and they were like if you don't get in a 5 minutes you might not get in. So we finally got in and so I am sitting there and out of nowhere here comes my mom and she is like "Victoria, come here you can get in now." I was like "I don't want to skip people." But, they dragged me I felt so bad! So I am sitting there and these mom's were like trying to run over people they were hitting people! I got hit in the head by one of them- (If she reads this thank you very much for giving me a headache you know you were still going to get their autographs. There is no point in a 40 something year old woman hitting a 15-year- old.) So, I was there and I was behind them and I am seeing the back of their heads- and get this I was completely calm! Then S was going all jumpy and I was like breathe S., My mom had the camera and I was just standing there like an idiot. S went first and they blocked us off and they weren't going to let us go they were going to stop it early after S. And for S,she told Taylor to sign it Goldi and he said I quote "Goldi? Cool!" and because she likes Taylor she was on cloud nine. So, I was standing and line and Walker walks by and I didn't know what he looks like I have seen like the back of his head and people. Then out of nowhere start screaming "WALKER!" and he walks by me and was like "Hey" and it clicked who he was and I was like "Oh Hi! Tell the guys Thanks for coming out and I cannot wait for the show tomorrow and by them we were screaming over fans and so I waved bye. Then I was standing there and Taylor got the attention of the security and he said, "Let those fans in." so they let us in and I walked to Zac and here is out very short conversation. Me: Hi, Zac. I'll be at the show tomorrow! Zac: trying to talk over screaming girls* Ok, Cool Thanks. Security Guard: Move along it will get passed down. And gave him a look like don't mess with our fans it was so funny I could have died laughing there. Ok, so then I moved on to Isaac and he is our conversation. Me: Hi, Isaac. *shakes his head* Hey, I'll be at the show tomorrow! Isaac: Hi, Oh cool, awesome. Me: Hey, do you have an opening act for tomorrow? Isaac: Opening Hat? Me: Act. Isaac: Oh. No we don't thanks. Now, on to Taylor. Taylor: Hey! *shakes my Hand* Me: Hey! Thanks for coming. I'll be at the show Tomorrow! Can't wait. Taylor: Oh cool Me: Yeah I have been a fan for 3 ½ years thanks so much for coming *then I hit him on his arm not hard it was more like tap on his arm* Me:Oh gosh sorry Taylor: It's ok. then he smiled. Ok, it's not over my mom got my CD cover autographed and she was the picture taker so I am going to type what she has told me. Zac:* very happily* HI! Mom: Hi! Can you smile for me? Zac: *smiles for Mom* Mom: Isaac smile Isaac: confused he turned his head* Mom: Hey Taylor! Hey sweetie can you look at me and smile? Taylor: *Looked right at her and smiled* Ok, So after that I walked out and S ran up to me and hugged me and then she had to leave. So, I was walking around and Dee and Jo came up to me and mom took pictures of us with our Hanson signed stuff. So, then me and Momma were walking around I went to get something to drink because I was hot, tired and had a headache thanks to the Mom who hit me in the back of the head. So, I was walking around and there was the huge flowerpot so I was sitting on it and suddenly over the people's head I saw Hanson pop up. So I whipped out my camera and took my last two pictures standing on this HUGE Flowerpot. So, I am standing there and I see people under me and I was like "Hey, I can see them want me to get pictures of them for you guys?" and I mean they literally formed a line under me. So, I was taking pictures and, like after the 6th camera I was taking one and I Zac looked and I tried to get a good picture for the girl. And as I tried I almost fell and busted my butt and Zac laughed at me and everyone looked at me so I did a little wave and took more pictures for the people. So they were getting ready to leave and girls swarmed them so I was just watching from the flowerpot and I jumped down and was getting ready to leave. I was walking and I walk right into a man in a burgundy shirt and he is like oh that's Walker. So, I had this purple folder with a letter just saying how I like there music and I really appreciate it and I looked I was like "Mr.Walker can you give them this?" He said sure and I don't know why But, I hugged him "I was like oh gosh sorry!" and he said, "it's alright." They walked up to the board in front of the elevator decorated with Hanson and Wfmf and they grabbed a few fans hands and then they got a microphone and told us all the "shhh" and then they sang This Time Around acapella. Ok, a few things I didn't mention that NEED to be mentioned! Hanson, are so nice. There was this Hanson fan Jodi that was in a wheelchair because she had JUST got out the hospital today the day of the signing, because she has cancer. Well, they let her in to get autographs (Jim the security guard let her in!) and they were all so Nice to her talking to her it was just really sweet. I met her after the signing and she is 10 and her name is Jodi! I am sending her some of my pictures her favorite is Taylor. They are Very Nice I mean they are overly nice. Isaac was confused, I mean I would have been I am in the middle of a bunch of girls and there is 3 of us and a WHOLE bunch of them. Mr. Walker is really nice! (If somehow you read this.) I am sorry for talking to you a lot! You were just there and at first, I didn't know who you were! But Thanks for taking my Folder! Thanks Hanson for coming to here! And I want to thank. Jim and Sticky for helping me get to get their autograph. I want to the Rex and 102.5! I want to thank Momma for taking pictures. I want to thank Jo (Joanna) for getting pictures for me. I want to thank the lady from 102.5 for taking some pictures. I want to say hey to Kim, Joshua, Chris, his sister and his Mom. I want to say hey Jennifer. And I want to say her to Jodi, I will send you my pictures soon sweetie. And Hey to all the other fans I met! And Thanks Hanson! ----------------------- The New Orleans Concert- August 17th 2000- Thrusday. What did they play? (Thanks Lauren!) **Acoustic Songs Played that Vicki can rememeber.: 24 Opening Act: None – Look At You – - Smile – - Runaway Run – - River – - Wish That I Was There – - Save Me – - Can't Stop – - Thinking Of You – - Piece Of My Heart – ** - Sure About It – ** - Beautiful Eyes – **- A Song To Sing – - Stories – - Man From Milwaukee – - Dying To Be Alive – - If Only – - This Time Around – - Hand in Hand – - Speechless, extended with band introduction. – - Johnny B Good – for the new Orleans crowd. – - In The City – - MMMBop – - I Want You To Want Me Ok, so after being on the floor and being about a foot from the stage me and Sarah had to go up in the balconies even before Hanson came out because the fans were literally crushing me and my friend. Ok, not that I couldn’t handle it, but my legs were in the middle of others feet, people had book sacks on and jamming those in my stomach and then I couldn’t even breathe without moving the people around me. That was the only bad part about the concert we needed seats. Ok, now that I got the bad over with, which really isn’t that bad. We want to thank Christina, Kayla, Angelica, and Jessica for letting us sit with them in the House of blues restaurant- you guys Rock and I know I already thanked you 101 times but Thank you again! So, at about 6:00 they started letting the people who ate dinner in first (we were happy about that.). So, we were walking in the line and to the left of the line was part of Hanson’s crew eating. They were laughing and joking with us (Note: after meet Christina and her friends and family we had a group of like 17 people!) and we started moving again and Kayla taps me on the shoulder and says “that little boy looks like Zac” and I was like yeah he is adorable and sense I don’t know what any of their family looks like(because I think it’s WRONG To take pictures of them ) I didn’t know it was Mackenzie. Well Untill some girl screeched out his name, but thank goodness no one took pictures . So, we got in the House of blues- Finally! We all got our places on the floor and slowly people started packing us in, so we said bye to Christina and the gang and headed for the balconies which was packed too! We finally found a place on the balcony behind “V.I.P” people-a.k.a. Ticket winners. So here we are waiting and guess what? Hanson was late not like I was surprised and it didn’t really matter I enjoyed singing to Johnny Lang’s “Leaving to Stay” that is my favorite song on his “Wander this World Album” , And I also enjoyed singing the WHOLE Counting Crows “August and everything after” album. So it’s 7:24 said the girl in front of us and I went to put my tour program down and looked up and there they appeared. The show started off with look at you and I was just started singing and clapping and they really got us going. Ok, I don’t know the exact order, but I am going to say what happened and what song I remember. They started singing “Smile” and I love this song- wait I love every song… oh well! So, I was jumping around and singing . “Runaway Run”- Ok, my name is Vicki the dork. I was hoping they would play “save me” me because it was my friend’s favorite song. And I mixed up and went it’s “Save me” and she looked at me weird and I was like Oh dear no it’s not. I am such a dork , but it was so much fun! Then they played “Wish that I was there” Zac sang with no Taylor back up on the verses it was good. He sounds really good live, I think he sounds better live than on the album! During “Piece of my Heart” They sang it wrong! They sang the same verse twice – I think. But, they did really good. I never thought I could see a male singing that, they proved me wrong it was great! They played this really good new song-well the little part I heard. They seemed like it was a little rough around the edges, but it was pretty darn good. If anyone knows the name please tell me. Here is the only part I heard between screeching “I love you_______” “I’d rather just hold you in my arms” something similar to that it was during the acoustic set. They played “Hand in Hand” I so felt like belly dancing It was good the guitar solo was great! “Dying to be alive” they sang it my first favorite song on the new album it was great what I heard, but, I missed parts because a girl next to me was almost fainting so I was checking on her, but I heard it and that’s all that matters! “This time Around” Freaking rocked- I mean literally rocked they were so on the ball during that. During the extended “Speechless” when they were introducing the band Taylor was bowing to Jason Taylor I meant over and over and over and over and over again. They played Johnny B Goode for the fans here in Louisiana! They said that was the first song they sang here in New Orleans when Isaac was I think he said 12 , don’t quote me though. Taylor took off his shirt when they went off stage before the acoustic set and he came back on to leave my ears ringing after the screams. Guess what? We have not one, but two wife beating wearing Hanson brothers. Isaac took his shirt off and made them scream even louder than before. Then there was that someone screaming “Zac, it’s your turn to take it off.”. Zac. When he was getting down to go up front to sing “I want you to want me” (one of my favorites since I was like 5.) he was coming from behind the drums and either lost his balance or got caught in a wire, but either way we went forward and in the attempt to play it off , Isaac ran the other way (not knowing what was happened because his back was to Zac) and Zac just kind of jumped off and laughed. Then at the end of “I want you to want me” Zac jumped on the front part of his drums( the part with Hanson on it. A.k.a The big round thing. ) and was standing on it facing Taylor (Taylor was drumming) and then turned around and jumped off of it. is. That’s a brief summary of it- yes, I know it wasn’t very brief, but I could have gone on longer. Things I noticed. *Isaac- has gotten really good on the guitar he got into it he was on his knees he was all over the place he is amazinf performer and singer. *Taylor- likes to swing his arms back in forth, and yes he has mastered it he can swing his arms back an forth really fast now. He, also Is an amazing performer and singer he’s puts his all into it. *Zac- He shines at the front. When he got up front to sing “I want you to want me” he was great I completely underestimated him as a front man. He is just amazing and keeps the crowd wanting more- like his little dance that was just, words can’t describe. But, his voice- the boy Has got a Voice. Puberty did him well very well. *something that sticks out in my mind. The 40 year old guy yelling to Taylor that he loved him then his wife hit him and said stop trying to embarrass the girl’s. Zac, looked at me and S. How we know? Because we were the only two dorks still jumping after the song had stopped he looked and laughed. I know what he was thinking “What idiots! -Before the show there are windows on each side of the stage on the second floor and they were going back in forth opening the curtains to make the fans scream. How great of a show. I have been to many concerts, but Hanson was the most energetic they brought you up and down at the right moments. They are truly amazing performers I could have had my back turned and still enjoyed the concert. Why? It was good music
Hi, I thought I'd tell ya'll how my night was at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando!!!!! Well, when we got there(me and my friend Danielle),there had been a huge line,I mean miles! We had to wait outside until they opened the doors which would be at 7:00.We had made lots of friends outside by talking with them.At one point,we(my mom,me,danielle, and her mom)were hungry so we decided to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe.Well, when danielle and I were wandering through the restaurant,I looked over in a corner and I swore I had seen Tommy Gruber from NEVE (I'm fans of there's too)! And we went over to their table, and it jusy so happens that it was neve! we were totally freaking out! So we asked them for their autograpghs,we didn't have anything 4 them to sign, so we let them sign our arms! It was so awesome! I was shaking like crazy.....hmmm.....imagine how I'd be with hanson!?!? Well, after that we went back to our line and before too long they'd be opening the doors! Soon,me Danielle and all our friends started chanting "HANSON! HANSON! HANSON!".Finally they let us in! And if you've ever been to hard rock live, you'll understand when i say.....CRAZY! We were on standing room. There were no seats,no fows, just one big crowed pushing and shoving their way to the front! That part of the evening was awful,I have to admit,my hair was being pulled,my feet were being stepped on,i was sweating like a pig,and i had no personal space what-so-ever!I stared out around being in 5th row(if they were rows),but eventually got moved up and side to side,it was a complete mosh pit out there! Finally,Neve cam out and they rocked! I've already gotten their c.d,u should go get it,it's awsome! And yes while neve were out, they did hyp up the crowed, but when hanson got out there it was just bizurk! Thats when it got really out of hand! I totally couldn't believe how close I was,and during the show I got closer and closer! At one point I touched Taylor's hand once I got close enough, but I jsut barely touched his hand! And this may sound stupid, but I swear Zac looked at me! Bcause I screamed his name, and I know he can't hear me,but I started waving to him,and he looked at me and sorta stared to laugh.....he prolly thought I was crazy(who says I'm not?) Isaac kept on,looking over in my direction too! Well, they totally rocked, and I know it was awful in teh audience(because 1 by 1 girls were passing out by all of teh heat),but 4 me it was totally worth it! I'd do it again in a heart beat! BTW............Hanson was wearing: Taylor:brown pants, blck shirt with a white tank-top underneath Isaac:black pants(I think)redish shirt(pretty tight)and a black leather vest Zac:Woo woo,the boy was wearing a black tank-top!let me just say his arms are huge(sorry, but i have a fettish for guy's arms)and he was wearing dark red pants I believe......eventually he took his hair down and started head banging!
I went to the Hanson concert in Orlando on Tuesday, August 29th.. It was nothing short of amazing!!!!!! Neve did an incredible job opening the show. Me and my friends had a table up in the balcony (most of the show was general admission) and we had a great view. When Hanson first came out they made sure to tell the crowd to back up since people were being pulled out left and right because it was soooo packed down there! :) They opened with "You never Know" and instantly we were all off our feet! I swear they've never sounded better! After singing a few songs they moved into their acoustic set where they sang Stories, love song, song to sing, and a few others. Taylor fell off his stool at the beginning of a song! It was sooo funny! :) But the best part was when he accidentally started singing the wrong song :) Ike started the beginning of "stories" but Taylor started singing the words to Sure about it! ;) It was great. They just seemed really relaxed and having a great time. ;) Me and my friend made it up to the front row and by that time it wasn't too bad. (Hanson kept reminding us to spread out. :)) Well there's nothing more to say than that the whole show was SPECTACULAR! They had a few instrument and microphone problems but that just seemed to add to the laid back atmosphere of the concert. :) Taylor kept running up to they audience and Zac wouldn't stop making faces at us. :) It was great! I don't think I could have had more fun. I just hope they don't wait another 2 years to come back! :) P.S. A girl near was able to video tape the concert.....If anyone knows how I might get a hold of her that would be GREAT! ;)

my name is Alejandra and I went to see HANSON to San Antonio and I´m gonna send you my pictures
I went to the Fort Lauderdale concert tonight: here's my review. Oh
yeah,
I'm Jessie.
August 26, 2000: Saturday
Sunrise Musical Theatre
Hanson; This Time Around Tour
The concert experience went way beyond being just plain
incredible. It
was so amazing, even I can’t believe some of the things that happened to us.
Megan, her mom, and I arrived at the Sunrise Musical Theatre
in Fort
Lauderdale at around 6:00pm. The parking lot wasn’t even nearly full,
and after we
parked we saw a crowd of people straight ahead of us. It was a fairly
small
crowd; 25 people or so. Everyone was watching Hanson’s tour bus to
see if
anyone would walk out of it. A few minutes later everyone started
screaming,
because Zac Hanson walked from the venue to the bus. I missed it, though,
because I was looking the other way. Anyway, I grabbed my camera for when
he
would be coming back out. He finally did come back out, and I snapped a
couple of pictures.
Radio Disney was in the parking lot near us handing out red,
blue, and
green packages of candy to get us all “pumped up” for the concert.
After
waiting a little while longer, we decided to head inside the building.
Earlier
that night we had hidden my camera in Megan’s purse, put inside a pad bag.
Megan was also carrying my poster that I made. The people
working there made her leave the poster behind, but it got her away from
the
bag check!!! WE DIDN’T GET CAUGHT WITH THE CAMERA!
Finally, we were inside and it was about 6:50pm. The
place was set up
sort of like a movie theater. The theatre part with the seats was behind
these doors. Well, before wewould enter to where the concert was, we
wanted
to get some drinks and merchandise. Megan and I headed into the drink line.
We started talking to these two girls in front of us who were really nice.
They were in 10th grade and they lived a couple of towns away from us.
After
we get the drinks, Megan and I head over to the merchandise stand only to
find that they’re all sold out of programs. So...we had to walk to the
other
stand on the other side of the building, but luckily for us that’s where our
entrance was anyway. Wetold the girls to meet us after the concert.
Anyway, I bought a program and a glowstick, and I got three stickers. The
opening band had already started, so we decided to go on inside. We found
our seats;they were towards the back but they were sooooooooo close. It
was
unbelievable.
There was a mean old lady working there watching our aisle (I
was so
afraid she’d catch me taking pictures). Then a few rows down they were
checking tickets so there was no way I could get down there. The opening
band was Neve. They’re played on the radio, too. They sounded
awesome.
After they left, there was an intermission. At about
8:00pm, Hanson took
the stage with the song “You Never Know”. The mean old lady was still
standing
at the top of the aisle, and were waiting for when she wasn’t looking our
way. I took out my camera and snapped a few pictures.
A little while later, our soda was all gone and we were
really thirsty.
Megan and her mom left to get a new soda, and I stayed there inside the concert.
A few
seconds later, Megan ran back inside to me and said “Hanson’s mom and sister
are here!” I ran out to go see, and sure enough, Mrs. Hanson and Zoe
were
standing off to the side to our left. Mrs. Hanson was wearing white
overalls, and I think a purple shirt. Zoe was so adorable. She was
wearing
a red and white striped dress, and she has white blonde hair to about her
chin. They were standing and talking to a woman and another little girl;
most likely friends of the family.
Mrs. Hanson smiled at us, and I asked “Can we please come
over to say
hello?” She said “Sure.” She shook our hands and asked for our
names. We talked to
her for a few minutes, and then we were going to go back inside to watch the
concert. BUT...we saw one of the guys from Neve. So...we went to grab
napkins so
we could get his autograph. Megan and I talked to him for a while.
He was
really nice. Before we went back inside, we decided to walk the length of
the building
to see if we would run into anyone else of importance. Well, we found the
other
guys of Neve, and we got their autographs, too. We also got our picture
taken with the lead singer. Whoo-hoo!
We finally went back inside to the concert, and it was great.
Hanson said
good-bye to the audience and then the lights were shut off. Some people
were
really stupid and they thought the concert was over so they left. Then, of
course,
Hanson came back onstage. The security was like, gone, so Megan and I took
that as our cue to get as close to the stage as possible! We got through
the
crowd, and I ended up right at the stage! That was the closest I’ve ever
been to them!!! I got some good pictures there, too.
Like I said before, at this point trying to have security was
impossible.
These three weird obsessive chicas climbed onstage and threw themselves on
Taylor.
They wouldn’t let go. I felt so bad for Taylor who was helpless as he
continued to sing into the microphone. Finally the bodyguard people got
the
girls of the stage.
Then, Hanson said goodbye and left. I got one of the
glow bracelets that
was on the stage. At the end, before we left, we met back up with those two
girls adn
exchanged phone numbers. That’s really cool how we met some new friends
there:)
It was such an AMAZINGLY, INCREDIBLY, AWESOME night.
I went to 3 Hanson concerts in one week (august 12th~san antonio)(august 15th~houston) and (august 19th~arlington) but i would like to tell you about the august 19th show in arlington texas. I'm from houston and on friday afternoon at about 4:00 we left my friends house and we were on our way. its about a 5 hour drive so we got to Arlington at about 10:00 cause we stopped a few times for food! so we started driving around and luckly stayed at the same hotel as them...but that's another story. Well we got to six flags at about 2:00 which was way to early cause we had not slept ONE MINUTE the night before. so we rode one ride and then went into a restaurant and just put our heads down and slept...i was out so hard we didn't even wake up till about 6:00 and the show was about to start! so we hauled it to the theater and got in our seats which were section E (Taylor's side) row 7 but we moved up to the 4th row by the end of the show. so you must remember this is the 3rd show that i had been to in one week so i was expecting the same ol same ol, but it was 100% different than the others...they were all totally awesome in their own way. well for reasons that i can't explain isaac mentioned us when they were introducing one of their songs, we call a song on the australian this time around called Lonley again..well we call it the shanana song and we had mentioned it to him earlier that day well when they were introducing the song they go...our friends call this the shanana song and we just started screaming our heads of while they were just laughing at us!...i must say it was the best of the ones i went to but i asked taylor after the show...what's up with that chicken thing and he was like i picked it up from mick jagger i was like your cooler than mick jagger! lol well if anyone wants to e-mail me please do so i would love to hear yall's stories of the concerts and if anyone was at the hotel please e-mail me!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks yall PEACE sccrsteph2@aol.com
I went to the Tapmpa, FL. Hanson concert. It was REALLY awesome!!
When
we first got there, we saw Scott talking with some fans outside of the
Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center and asked if we could take a picture
with him and we did, he was really nice.
We also got to meet all 4 of the guys from NEVE, they are such an
awesome band!! They were hanging outside with the fans, takin pix and
signing autographs. They put on a really really really good show!! I
might be going to the Orlando concert so I might get to see them again
and get more cool pix.
When we got there, people said that Hanson was at a radio station doing
an interview but they would probably be back soon. We waited by the
stage door, and they walked right infront of me!! I got to touch all of
their hands and got REALLY good pictures! Tay was the first to get out
of the car, then Zac and Ike. Some girl ran up to Ikey and gave him a
hug hehe Tay looked mad when ge got out.
We asked around to see if anyone else had noticed it, and this one girl
told us that Tay had had an argument with Zac becuase he told Tay that
he was too controlling and Tay took it too seriously. When it was time
to go, Tay didn't want to go in the same vehicle as the rest of them,
and went in another one. He ended up being 30 minz. late and him and
his dad had a fight about that. Then my friend found their tour bus
driver and asked him if it was true, he told her that it was but
couldn't tell her all the details. During the concert (the first part
of it) Tay looked so serious and Ike kept looking down but towards the
middle of it, they started to look like they were having a lot more fun.
The concert is really cool!! You guys should really go check it out,
you'll have a blast!
I was at the Houston concert which was WONDERFUL except I was in the
front and I kept getting smushed and people kept getting pulled out of the crowd
because they were hurt. Hanson kept asking everyone to stop pushing, but
hey didnt listen, so they had to threaten to stop playing so finally everyone
chilled. Mackie came outside before the show and talked to us and shook
our hands and squirted us with water guns. Then one by one, Zac, Taylor,a
nd Isaac came out to the bus. I SAW ZAC TAKE OFF HIS SHIRT IN THE BACK OF
THE BUS!!! But some little girl screamed, so he realized we were there and
he closed the shades.
THEY PLAYED: (IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER)

Small Notables-
1. Taylor doing the funky chicken during "You Can't Always Get What You
Want"
2. Taylor would run all across the stage and wave his hands vigorously to
get the audience moving.
3. During "In The City", Taylor NEVER went behind his keyboard,
he was
running around the whole time.
4. Right before they sang "Lonely Again" he said that it was
dedicated to
one of their friends who called it the "Sha na na na Song"
5. Trying to buy merchandise before the concert was horrible! The lines were
so long, but luckily I got some pretty cool stuff.
6. When they were introducing their back up players, Taylor would point to
the guy they introduced, point to the audience, and then point back to the
guy, bowing down to him. He did that for all three they back-ups.
7. Isaac threw his guitar pics into the audience
8. Taylor kept trying to get the crowd to participate more by putting his
arms over his head and clapping during fast songs, or swaying them above his
head during slow songs
9. Zac kept on pissing me off by looking up at people up there! But he did
make eye contact with us. Isaac and Taylor also!
10. Isaac jumped from Zac's drum platform and landed on his knees at the
end
of a "Summertime Blues."
11. During the introduction of Scott Hogan (bassist), Scott played his
bass
guitar behind his head. He is so cool!
12. I touched Taylor's hand once by grabbing it!
13. The people asked if we knew where we were going (to our seats) and we
answered yes. We went to a nice close seat.but it wasn't row d, like our
seats really were! Much closer! :)
14. The second time, I yelled his name and he eventually came over, and I
touched it again, whiping his sweat on me!
15. Beth, my sister, touched Taylor three times!
16. We eventually hopped the seats and were in the front row!
It was the best night of my life! Neve was even good also!!! :)
I thought that i would share with you how i met hanson at there Portland concert. ok, i was in front row, well ok i was in front getting smooshed against the bariors, and i had an alergic reaction to some meds i had taken like 3 hours before. so in that case i had to get pulled out of the croud and be but on heart monitors. also i had a shot of benadryll, so i was like major out of it. anyway where i was, was down underneeth the stage, were hanson would come down after the show. ok so when the show was over i saw zac come down and he talked to the other girls and then came over to me and shook my hand, then asked if i enjoyed the show and i said yes. then i asked if i could see how big his hands were(just an excuse to touch him) and they were big. then i pulled away and he said "my hands are like a unit bigger than yours" im like ok. then i said "im jennifer by the way" and hes like "zac" then ike and tay came down and zac told them that i wanted to see them and ike came over and kneeled down infrot of me and inroduced himself and wanted to know if i was ok and what happed, he seemed like he was like major concerned. and he held my had, cause he saw that i didnt feel well. so then i said " i dont mean to be rude but can i have something of yours" and he looks around and gives me his pick. then tay came over and shoved his hand in my face and wanted to know my name. he also asked how i was doing. i said " fine now". and then he gave me a hug and i might menton that his hair was mighty stinky. then ike gave me a hug and said " i hope you feel better" then he stood up and looked at the heart monitor and was like " wow slow down there" im like "its your fault" and he laughted and said "it was nice meeting you" and then i was like same here. then i said that to taylor and zac. then they left. after they were gone i cryed my eyes out. then i felt better and left. so that was my adventures with hanson. and i think that im in love with Isaac. Arlington review: http://www.angelcities.com/members/tta/dallas2.htm
Dallas Concert:
Since my best friend Lori and I can't remember anything in chronological order
for this concert (it was too long and we were waaaaaaaaay too hyped up), we
decided to just list the most significant memories we had, and these are them.
This is our non-chronological, unorganized review.
Things Lori and I remember from the concert:
1. Taylor doing the funky chicken during "You Can't Always Get What You
Want"
2. Zac's drumstick splitting straight in half
3. Zac would fill up his super soaker with water bottles behind his drums
and pump it up
4. Taylor JUMPED into the place between the stage and the audience at the
end and stayed down there for about thirty seconds and then climbed back up
on the stage while tons of little girls were pulling at his pants.
5. Taylor would run all across the stage.
6. Right before Hanson began singing slower songs Taylor said something
like, "And this is where all of you get the lighters that you don't have
and
start going like this." and he put one arm in the air and swaying it back
and forth.
7. During In The City he NEVER went behind his keyboard, he was running
around the whole time.
8. Right before they sang "Lonely Again" he said that it was dedicated
to
one of their friends who called it the "Sha na na na Song"
9. We were the second concert to hear "Johnny B. Good" (New Orleans
was the
first)
10. Trying to buy merchandise before the concert was horrible.nobody knows
what a line is. I was standing on the rail and Lori was in the crowd and
when I got to the guy, he goes "I have a rule that if you stand on the rail
then I won't sell to you"
11. When they were introducing their back up players, Taylor would point to
the guy they introduced, point to the audience, and then point back to the
guy, bowing down to him. He did that for all three they back-ups.
12. Taylor "violently" threw his water on the audience, then chunked
the
bottle into the audience.
13. Isaac threw his guitar pics into the audience
14. After playing some slow songs, Zac goes "Okay.enough of that slow
stuff!" and they played more up-beat songs
15. Walker walked around on stage and video taped. Towards the end of the
concert Taylor ran up to the camera and shook his head in it.
16. Isaac came out with sunglasses on but after a few songs he threw them
off (I don't know if he threw it in the audience or beside him)
17. Taylor kept trying to get the crowd to participate more by putting his
arms over his head and clapping during fast songs, or swaying them above his
head during slow songs
18. Isaac jumped from Zac's drum platform and landed on his knees at the end
of a song.
19. The crowd was going "oi-oi" when the back up players were being
introduced along with the beat of the music
20. During the introduction of Scott Hogan (bassist), Scott played his bass
guitar behind his head. He is so cool!
21. During "Johnny B. Goode" the sound went out for about ten seconds
and
they were looking around and they kept singing. All we could here were
bass
instruments, but then it came back on right in time for the ending.
Outfits:
Taylor - Black wife-beater, brown pants with studs on them and boots?
Isaac - White shirt with orange flowers?, green pants (couldn't see his

Well I saw Hitz in Houston Tues & met Mackie and Jess waved at me and Avie sprayed me with her gun.I actually met Mackie a few times. He`s a 5 yr old Zac!! The show was really good but Ike was getting mad cuz the fans kept pushing. He treatened to stop playing. Afterwards I stood on the barrigade in front of their bus,all against the window, & Jess & Zac waved at me(they probably thought I was crazy!)I got to Baton Rouge at about 10:30a.m. for the signing. Me and Elise walked around to look for a DJ. when we finally found her she told me that things were to hectic and hanson had cancled the V.I.P. so there was nothing they could do (i was supposed to specially meet them). Well, I cryed for half an hour. Then I chilled. I got to meet them in line. I gave Isaac my scrapbook that I`ve been working on for about 2 yrs. After they signed everyone's stuff they walked on this lil stage and sang part of "This time around." Me and my friend were right against the bar to the right of them. Taylor came over to us and he looked RIGHT at *ME*walked over and grabbed *MY* hand!!! He was telling me something but I couldn't hear him. When it was time for them to leave I ran after them . Well While I was busy chasing hanson my friend was smart enough to go and look for things they left. Well she got ZAC'S MELLOW YELLOW CAN!!! She got it for me!After that was all over and no one was around I took the table covers that were on hansons table they were signing autographs on!!(crazy I know)My dad taped the meeting & all. - Onto new orleans!got there at 9:00a.m. We sat aound for HOURS!! Well over 10.Hanson's bus finally got there.I was in the front against the bar and my friend wrote a letter to hanson telling them about my scrapbook. Issac came out first and I shoved the letter in his hand and he snatched it and then smiled at me! Next Zac came out but he ran by quick. Then Taylor came out and saw me and grabbed my hand. Later, we were talking to Ashley Greyson and he said there was a black scrapbook on the bus!!!!That was mine!! One time I was standing by the bus&the lil hanson's came out. I had been talking to Mackie alot in houston so I tapped him on his head and he looked up at me and said "Hey! I remember you! I saw you!" it was so awesome! When we FINALLY got in the building I was RIGHT up against the bar in front of Taylor (in houston I was in front of isaac) OK to make a LONG story short zac was slapping peoples hands by me but he didnt slap mine. He was walking away waving and his eyes stopped dead on me. Then he came back and grabbed my hand and smiled. I was SO shocked! I realized they must remember me, probably from the scrapbook. LayTor, he grabbed my hand again and so did tay. Eventually it might sound crazy but I jumped over the bar! Security tried to make me go back but I started FREAKING out cuz I couldnt get back in my spot so they let me stay!!!!! IT WAS AWESOOOOOOOME!!! I was RIGHT AGAINST THE STAGE IN FRONT OF TAY!!! Zac came over and I reached my hands for him and he HANDED me his beat up drumsticks!!!!! Then Isaac came over to me and was playing the guitar all up in my face!! I took a pic of him! They played "Johonny B. Goode "& an old song "Beautiful Eyes". Zac sang "I want you to want me" solo and tay played the drums. He ran all around the stage!!It rocked!!! I can't even count how many times they grabbed my hand and looked me in the eye!!!!!! After the show we waited for 2 hours. We were talking to a roadie and their driver (hanson had left in a van) A security came up to me and was talking to us. Then he whispered and asked "do u want me to see if they left anything in their dressing room??" and I flipped out and said "OMG YES!!!" He came back with Isaac's water bottle and a sweat towel!!! He was like "there is a shirt up there its the middle ones. but i cant get it until everyone leaves" and we started SPAZZIN OUT!!! We told him to get us some garbage in the mean time. Then my sister drove up!! We were like "DARN!" and then we see someone shaking something white between us...and we turned around and it was **TAYLOR HANSONS SHIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!** It was white long sleeved and kinda country lookin'! It had to be the BEST night of my life!! Well thats my stories. -Ashley Borne- Hanson_NxDx@yahoo.com
I think Hanson does the same thing for every concert. Cause the Dallas concert was like EXACTLY the same as the Seaworld concert. I went to that one! I got the VERY front row! It was so awesome and Tay took off his shirt! My friend threw her spare shirt and it got caught on this thing Tay was climbing and he picked it up and was like "huh?" and then he threw it somewhere. I also threw a lolipop that went next to Zac's foot and I threw a waterbottle that hit Ike's leg (oops)hehe. Ike laughed at me cause when they sang "Smile" I stuck my tounge out and smiled! I almost touched Tay's hand (cause he jumped down to touch them) but some girl pushed me. He did look at me and was like a millimeter from my hand though! I was so mad at that girl. Oh well. Zac did have his super soaker and he squirted me twice. Oh and when we were waiting, some girl yelled "Hanson is coming!" but it was Mackie and Jessica who was holding Zoe. Zoe had a pasipher and smiled when everyone yelled hi and she waved. She is so adorable. Oh and Hanson rode the Steel eel and my friend's seat was taken my Tay! This guy (who didn't like Hanson obviously) told us he saw Zac and he was going to pay a kid to throw a rock at him! How rude! Anyways it was awesome. And also Hanson came early to seaworld and touched the dolphins and gave them fish!
I just wanted to give you guys a review of the first Macy's concert (Atlanta). It was amazing! First there was a fashion show, and during the fashion show, Mr. Hanson was standing over to the right of the stage talking on his cell phone. After the fashion show was over Tom Sullivan from Star 94 came back out and said Hanson would be out in a minute. He also said how Star94 plays Hanson all the time, and everyone moaned, lol, b/c they don't. Hanson came out and sung like, 4 songs. They started with "Where's the Love", and then, if I remember right, the next song was "If Only", "Runaway Run", "This Time Around", and "Thinking of You". I may not be exactly right, but that's how I am remembering the order. Towards the end of " Thinking of You" I started clapping, and since, i had front row, in front of Tay, he looked down and saw me clapping, and he said told everyone to clap. After that Tay talked about the concert tomorrow, and then they left. All the poeple w/VIP passes lined up to go into Macy's and meet hanson. You don't get to talk to them much at all, b/c there are lots of poeple for them to meet, and not a whole lot of time. After I met them, I started to walk out, and I just about ran into Mr.Hanson.I didn't say anything to him then, though. I went back into Macy's to watch them finish signing autographs, and then we decided to go to their tour bus. Again, Mr.Hanson brushed by me, and I told my friend pam that that was Mr. Hanson, and she said she wanted to go talk to them, so we walked behind him, and tapped him on the shoulder, well, we're too short for that, tapped him on the arm, and we introduced ourselves, and he said said "hi", but he had to go. After that I went back outside, and since Hanson had just left we decided to leave. i got in my car and as we turned the corner, who do i see but, hanson getting on their tour bus. they end up being right behind us, and beside us, for like 10 minutes, and I could see them standing in their bus talking and Zac had a soda ( I think Mountain Dew) in his hand. ~Faith
